While we were moving in, she offered us water and checked on us several times to make sure we were doing okay and had everything we needed. That may seem like a small thing, but it really stood out to us. Debbie was friendly, welcoming, and attentive without making us feel rushed. You could tell she actually cared about how our move-in was going. It's rare to find customer service where someone takes the extra time to check on you after the rental is already completed. We were so pleased with the experience that about two weeks later we came back and rented a second storage unit. That probably says more than anything else about how comfortable we felt doing business here. CubeSmart was a great find, and having someone like Debbie there makes it even better. I understand that there is always an inherent risk of animal access with outdoor storage, but paying $111 a month on the smallest unit available, I expect these units to get an upgrade after 12 years! The bright spot are the two lovely ladies who are in the office; friendly, professional and very helpful. I'm sure they have to take much grief, but don't blame them for the state of the units!

When I showed up to access my own property, I was told I was not allowed on the premises and that I would be arrested. Staff attempted to treat me as a trespasser at a facility where I was an active paying customer. During the same period, I raised serious concerns about security and unauthorized access. I later discovered signs that my unit had been entered without my authorization. I also became aware of statements made to the fire department about this situation that, in my view, were inaccurate and used to justify actions against me instead of addressing the underlying issue. Communication from management was inconsistent and unhelpful. Instead of resolving the facts first, the facility escalated by restricting access, threatening arrest, and pushing a trespass narrative. Because of the severity of what occurred, I have already filed a lawsuit in court regarding this matter. Customers rely on storage facilities for basic security, lawful access to their own property, and professional treatment. My experience at this location failed on all three. I cannot recommend this facility.

The staff would not give me a refund and instructed me to go through the insurance company. I also had to kill a mouse on my U-Haul; I was tempted to not even bring the things into my new home. To make matters worse, they knowingly had mice and did nothing to make sure I felt comfortable and to alleviate the stress of my relocation." And I say knowingly because the manager said that they had been trying to get someone out to exterminate the mice but was unsuccessful. This was the worst experience.

When we returned to pick everything up, we were horrified to find our belongings covered in rat feces, smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, and damp and moldy. No one should have to worry about their personal belongings being exposed to rodent waste or the potential serious health risks associated with it, including hantavirus. The amount of rodent feces and the unsanitary conditions are extremely concerning, and I believe the local Board of Health should be made aware of this potential health hazard. We trusted this facility with our daughter's belongings, and the condition we found them in was completely unacceptable. People pay for storage with the expectation that their belongings will be kept in a clean, dry, and reasonably safe environment--not returned contaminated with rodent feces, mold, moisture, and cigarette odor. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for storage.

We had our dumpster delivered sooner than we thought we would be able to, and we appreciate the way they accept payment (when the dumpster is in your possession). However, it was odd to not receive a confirmation email, electronic receipt, text or phone call to check in between the time I ordered it and the drop off. I had to call back and make sure it was set to be delivered the following morning, and had to confirm a time. They do give a window for the dumpster drop off, but it arrived right at the beginning. Best part- you don't have to be there when they come to pick it up as long as you've followed their guidelines!

What makes this even more insulting is that the exact same size unit was being advertised to new customers for 1/4 of what I was paying. That tells me very clearly how this company treats loyalty: they punish existing customers while baiting new ones with lower prices. I raised this issue and was told a district manager would call me to discuss and make an adjustment. That call never happened. No district manager could spare five minutes to contact a long term, consistently paying customer. The on site service was just as bad. One employee, Amanda, was extremely unprofessional, dismissive, and rude, making an already frustrating situation worse. Her behavior was completely inappropriate for a customer facing role. In contrast, Ashley was the only employee who showed professionalism, courtesy, and basic decency--and she deserves credit for that. Overall, this location demonstrates predatory pricing practices, terrible customer service, and zero respect for loyal customers. After two years of dependable business, I was treated as disposable. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location to think twice, especially if you plan to stay longer than the introductory rate period.

My only problem was I haven't rented a storage unit in a long time come to find out there are a lot of fees that you don't find out until you get ready to pay You have an administration fee for the unit which includes a new lock with a new key chain for $25.00 you do get to keep the lock when you're done with the unit also on top of the rental fee each month you are charged $15.00 each month unless you have insurance to cover it. J. explained how everything worked, and I felt really comfortable as it was the first company that didn't pressure or hound me, and it was very clear their commitment to integrity, fair and reliable pricing, and taking care of their clients. I called last minute for my move and they still accommodated me in their very busy schedule in an interstate move from Syracuse, NY to North Carolina. The guys came in and on a very hot day, they packed everything into the truck, helped me finish packing what I ran out of time to do, and literally drove it down the next day and unpacked everything that same night. The team was fast, kind, friendly, and very encouraging as it was an emotional move. J. & I. especially made the day good - they kept my sister and I laughing and talking instead of stressing. On arrival in NC, there was only one damaged item and once we cleared everything up, the owner took care of me even though he really didn't have to because technically that item wasn't even covered by insurance. Everything else arrived in one piece and they delivered my boxes to the rooms as labeled (even though it was a lot of stairs!) The price was the same in the end that I was quoted, and the only issue was some technical miscommunication that we figured out really quickly and everything worked out great in the end. I recommend J and his team for any moving needs you have - local or out of state! It's a great local company that still holds to integrity and getting the job done.
