My advice is to seek out a full service company that actually takes care of the insured rather than just takes your premium. (Note: with the advent of the internet and sites like "Yelp" it's probably best to keep your mouth shut instead of insulting a former client.....)

Fifteen days after my original phone call to them, she emailed me to ask a question about the house and I told her that we had already selected another provider. I honestly don't know how they would get any business. Buying a house is a stressful, and of all the things that can cause delay, setting up a basic homeowner's policy should NOT be one of them. I shudder to think of what the response would be like if I was actually submitting a claim!
