He called his original audiologist who referred him to Pacific Audiology Clinic and Dr. Allison Bradley. Before he went there, though, he thought he'd try to save some money by exploring Costco's offerings. That didn't go so well. Because he only wears a hearing aid in one ear, Costco couldn't provide a hearing aid that processed the sound quickly enough to match how quickly he heard sound through his unaided ear. This surprised him considering that his 18-year-old hearing aid had no such problem, but Costco didn't carry his old brand. He also felt that considering how quickly they gave up trying to help him and offered to refund his money, they didn't really want to take the time to provide hearing aids for people with more difficult situations like his. So he saw Dr. Bradley here and immediately felt confident that they'd take care of him. Little did he realize what an effort that would be on their part. Apparently today's hearing aids are far more powerful than his old one, which was good because he wanted more amplification. However, it meant that getting a perfect fit was necessary or else he would hear annoying feedback between the hearing aid's microphone and speaker. While wearing a hearing aid that sits outside the ear could've more easily solved this problem, he didn't want to give up the hidden "completely in the canal" style of aid that he's always had. Nor was he willing to sacrifice good quality sound that seemed as natural to him as what his unaided ear hears. Never did Dr. Bradley pressure him to make these compromises. He can't remember how long it took from the first time he saw Dr. Bradley until he finally had the hearing aid he wanted, but he thinks it was close to a year. That wasn't any fault of hers. The difference between a tight yet comfortable fit likely came down to fractions of millimeters. Any movement in his jaw could also cause the ear canal to move ever so slightly and produce annoying feedback while eating or talking, etc., so it just became a matter of trying countless aids in various situations until one finally worked. The extreme level of patience and graciousness along with the clear expertise and knowledge of all of the manufacturers and their pros/cons made working with Dr. Bradley simply a delight for my husband. He said her staff is equally terrific. Few hearing aid candidates will have as difficult of a time as he did. But his experience demonstrates that you get what you pay for, and while Pacific Audiology Clinic certainly didn't make a profit on him considering all the effort they had to put into getting him a new hearing aid, he's convinced there's no better audiologist or more pleasant one in the greater Portland area.

My first…read moreappointment changed locations twice, one attempt to cancel me, one attempt to reschedule unsuccessfully to later on after several phone calls between both locations and an attempt to talk to the manager about the poor form of this schedulers/receptionists, magically gets restored without incident at a different location. Second appointment: a repeat of the same, tried to rescheduled my appointment, I was very inconvenienced and frustrated, again, tried to to talk to the office manager, after all of that I was able to keep the same day but at a different time. Honestly, who is running this tragic scheduling. Maybe it's an isolated incident but I have a feeling it isn't. Certainly not a professional outfit. Two thumb down!!!

After 6 ys. of dissatisfaction with trying out hearing…read moreaids, I recently had to get back in the game and find the right hearing aids for me (my Husband was sick of my constantly asking, "What did you say?"). After researching, I found All American Hearing located at 10001 SE Sunnyside Rd. in Clackamas. "Casey," a Hearing Instrument Specialist there, is wonderful. She really takes the time to listen and discuss all options with me. After much testing, I received my new hearing aids and was pretty happy. Unfortunately, after doing extreme gardening for many hours in the heat during the last days of summer 2025, one of my hearing aids began falling out. I was able to get in fairly soon to All American Hearing. Since Casey is very knowledgeable in the hearing aid industry as she has been in it for awhile now, she knew my insurance coverage probably covered a "molded" pair of hearing aids. After she checked to be sure and found they were covered, she made molds of both my eardrums and ordered me a pair. While that pair fit like a glove, I actually ended up going with the first pair I tried but with a slightly larger end piece that fit better in my ear canal. With all that I have put Casey and Sarah (front office) through in "finding the right fit," they both have continued to treat me with a ton of patience and respect as, like I stated above, I've had to make a couple of unexpected appointments (and got lost twice). Regarding Sarah in particular, she always returns my call when I've had to leave a voicemail. She is friendly, sharp, and goes out of her way to be as helpful as possible. I would recommend All American Hearing to any of my friends and relatives. They care about professionalism. I'm one happy customer.

I went to Tuality (Lake Oswego location) for my first hearing aids ever. I thought they were good…read morebut I had nothing to compare it to. In the future, I would look for a provider that does "real ear measurement" in the future. My results were good, but I later got instruments from another provider that did real ear measurement and my hearing results were dramatically better.

Medical issues can be very scary. In my case, I'd gone to the ER because of neck swelling, and it…read moreturned out to be complex issue that required surgery. The ER team had me follow up with Dr. Nguyen (pronounced 'win') after my ER evaluation. As a result,I recently had neck surgery which Dr. Nguyen performed, and I'm so glad she's my doctor. She looked through historic records and showed me what had been going on in my neck so I understood the treatment plan. At times I was in tears because I didn't know if the cyst was going to show malignancy; fortunately it did not. She was calming and kind, answering all my questions and then some. I had such a great experience with her. Why? *Dr. Nguyen is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and empathetic. *She and her team are very organized, and my appointments have all been on time. * Even if she has difficult news to share, she is still genuine and compassionate. *She informed me of risks and let me know honestly when some pain might be involved. Jeff, her medical assistant, is truly a gem. Every time I interact with him he's extremely pleasant and compassionate, and helpful as anyone could be. No worries about getting information I need, he's got a copy ready for me. His manner is also calm and kind, and I can imagine his patients adore him; he's that kind of person. If you need an ENT, I definitely recommend Dr. Nguyen and Jeff, too; they made a difficult situation manageable with as little worry and pain as possible.

I got a prompt appointment and found him to be kind and extremely competent. I only wish he practiced in Tucson Arizona rather than Vancouver Washington. If I lived here in Vancouver or in Northeast Portland there would be no question at all where I would go buy hearing aids or have them serviced.

They supposedly "fixed" my hearing aids over a year ago and the Lt one has buzzed ever since. They dodged their responsibility at every turn, she said "we are a small company so we can't afford to give you any wax guards, or anything else I guess. She said I was eligible for new hearing aids, gave me a card with a phone number on it, "they can help you she stated," but it was obvious that Evergreen sure as hell wasn't going to put any more effort into getting new aids. I don't know if it's the same owner but I've certainly moved on to a new provider. Don't give your business to these people, they're money grubbers and liars..
