We bought a gas fireplace insert from an out of town company, used Accurate Installers to do the work of putting it in the old 1990s gas log firebox. Dave is fantastic, really knows his stuff. Josh his w is really capable. Had another company out for a quote, but after meeting Dave we hands-down went with Accurate. Finished job was great. They even dealt with the insert seller on several occasions as the correct parts weren't shipped. I would definitely recommend.

Ask the Community - Accurate Installers

Thank you Heather, but I want to be sure I have stated my question clearly. I am asking about replacing the liner, not installing the insert. Just the liner. And then if you wish perhaps a separate quote on the insert install, thanks much in SW WA?

The cost of running the liner is the same regardless if we are making the final connection to the insert or not.

Labor costs in changing out a 3" liner, which I have now, to a 6" liner? I am removing the pellet stove, to a wood stove in a 3/2 ranch home, one story, access easy through side gate then ladder to 3-tab roof on a simple 5/12 pitch

Depending on where you live, we charge $850 plus tax labor

There are only a handful you can trust, Andrew being one of them. Whether you're doing a new instal or need a repair, you owe it to yourself to get a quote from him. That is if he has any availability haha. I had an issue last year with my A/C. Had a company come out right away and the tech tried to sell me on something that I didn't even need. Finally was able to get AC NW out , and the rest is history. Andrew was able to fix it, without over charging me or upselling me on things I do not need. He's a dying breed in the trades industry. My dad ran his own construction firm for years and is a very honest guy. Talking with Andrew reminded me very much of talking with my dad about how to proceed with various projects around my home. He was competitive with the price, and I think it was very fair. I will have him out at servicing time, or if repairs do come up. He is not the biggest company out there, but he is the best. Doing business the way it used to be gives you the information to decide. I knew everything was going to go 100% issue free. From my first contact with him would recommend him to friends and family.

Tried to use it one time, just for ambiance but after about 45 minutes my carbon monoxide detectors went off and the fire department had to come out and vent out my house in the middle of winter. I was told by the fire department TVF&R not to use this again until it is properly vented, I called Travis and they told me I need to burn the fireplace for at least an hour to break it in, I told him (think his name was Mark) that it gives off carbon monoxide and he told me I needed to open a window. Of course you probably won't survive! Prior to that incident, Lisac sent out three different techs to fix the unit. Each worked for a couple of hours moving things around and opening and closing vents but never got the unit to do what it supposed to do. This unit is advertised as heating 3,000 square feet, but mine you'd have to lean against the glass to even know it was on. Spoke with Scott at Lisac and he had no interest in getting my fireplace to work, acted like it wasn't their fault or concern. So, here I am with a beautiful and very expensive fireplace that is not good for much of anything. Thank you Lisac's and Travis Industries. Stay clear of both of these companies, there are plenty of other really good fireplace shops and fireplace manufacturers, you don't have to settle ones that just don't care.

The new owners Denise and Michael Werner raised the space rent so high along with making the homeowners pay for, their water, sewer and garbage pickup. I and many others ended up having to sell our homes and move because the rents went up so high we couldn't afford to live there on our fixed incomes. The rent will be going up to $1,250.00 in March 2024. I feel very sad for all the people who will not be able to stay at this park or any of the other parks that these greedy people own. Stay away from Manufactured home parks unless they are a co-op. Owners can raise your rent once a year to however much they want and make rules that are hard to live with.
