So, I contacted the manufacturer (and some of their dealers) for help getting my fireplace to restart. Messages were left with most of the dealers I called. But one of the dealers I called, (Lumos Hearth & Home) answered and said they had staff more familiar with my system who would return my call. A short while later Hugh with Lumos returned my call. About ten minutes into my conversation with Hugh, my fireplace was operational again. Who could ask for anything more? Thanks, Hugh! We had a lot to learn with a lot of questions but they never got tired of the questions and were not aggressively trying to sell to us. They were able to make a recommendation on a stove and even helped us through the process by finding a great contractor who was also super easy to work with. After getting to know the staff and having the stove installed we also trusted them enough to purchase our blinds from them which also turned out great. He's an old school businessman, something you'd see back in the 50's. He practically trained to maintain my fireplace, but I'll still call for the annual check up. Rob also edified me on pellet brands. Being a skeptic, I tried about 5 different brands and sure enough, he was dead right on the Packsaddle brand. Even though it was twice as much as the cheapest brand i won't use anything else now. With Rob's fine tuning my old Whitfield is producing three times the amount of heat now. This was not true and although we were able to install it ourselves it was not perfect and we had to replace the liner within a one year. We installed it ourselves again and it leaked around the skimmer until the end of last summer when thoughts of just taking the pool down (due having to refill the pool daily) entered our minds. Our skills were obviously not up to par in pool liner installation so in March of this year we decided to inquire about getting some help from Haven Pool and Spa. We are so pleased this is what we did. Admittedly, we were taken aback at the price of buying a liner and getting it installed as it was as much as we paid for the pool. However, knowing that it took us days to do it ourselves (and it was not done correctly in the end), forced us to make the decision to have the professionals do it for us.
