I agreed to a quote for the project on Friday and the PNW team was able to schedule the work to be performed the following Monday by Joshua (the locksmith tech). On the morning of the job, Joshua texted and called me to confirm all the details of the quote. He also gave me lots of helpful details on the types of hardware we could use for the job and what might be best for my home and specific situation. I decided to upgrade one of the pieces in the original quote, and he revised the quote estimate to make sure there'd be no surprises charges when it came to final payment. Once again, the communication here was outstanding. When he arrived at the house, Joshua exemplified professionalism, friendliness, competence, and transparency from start to finish. The deadbolt is an older model and had several coats of paint on it from previous owners. I was never given an estimate upon arrival of the locksmith - only the final value at the very end which was extremely high. In addition the locksmith seemed unfamiliar with this particular task and was not interested in hearing any additional information I attempted to offer. Once he was able to get the door open he also declined removing the remains of the deadbolt (which ended up getting completely drilled through) although this would have been relatively easy for him. Additionally he had a can of WD40 which was somehow punctured and sprayed everywhere inside of my house until we took the can and put it in a trash bag and ran outside of the house. Overall I would not recommend this service.

Even more impressive, he sourced appropriate solutions and got us scheduled within three days, which felt remarkably fast given the complexity and the fact that replacement parts are no longer standard or readily available. His depth of knowledge was obvious, not just with modern hardware, but with older and specialty systems that many locksmiths no longer deal with.
