This repair service was recommended by the shop where we purchased the dishwasher. We were concerned it would be a costly repair or that we'd even have to replace it, but Tyler spotted the problem immediately and was able to fix it on the spot. He also expressed a concern that he spotted while under the counter about the way it was wired in, and fixed that, too. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. From my first call for help with my Asko washing machine to the result of my now fully functioning washing machine, I could not ask for better service. Customer service was awful. First, the receptionist was border-line rude and EXTREMELY unhelpful. They won't schedule the repair until they get parts. Ok, fine. I leave my appliance info and am told that I'll hear from their parts people. 3 days later, I got a call telling me they can do it and how much parts/labor will be. Next, I called and left a voicemail with their parts department to authorize the order and repair. Waited a week, heard nothing. I called the main desk and they transferred me to parts. I listened to the message, and sent an email as requested. Waited 24 hours, got nothing so I called back. Transferred to parts again. Left a message this time. Still have heard nothing. This was not a complicated repair or for some fancy piece of equipment. It was for a Maytag dryer. I ended up calling another appliance service. read more

I always call Ace for my appliance repair. I like the fact that they are family owned and operated. It comes through in the service. Had a dishwasher and dryer serviced recently. Dishwasher was fixed that day. As soon as the new heating element came in for my dryer, they sent a tech out and had it fixed immediately. They do a great job keeping the work area clean. Tech shows up, looks around the fridge, looks in the freezer and tells us we need to replace 2 control boards and to call the parts dept to order them. AVOID! I called Maytag when my washer stopped working and wouldn't drain, and they hooked me up with Ace Applicance. They came out and told us that my machine, just a year old, needed a drain pump. I was confused because the machine is so new, and at most I do three loads per week. On top of the initial $90 diagnostic visit, I was looking at almost $400 to repair it. That seemed outrageous, so I had my brother-in-law check it out, and he discovered a quarter lodged in the machine. He removed it and now it works fine. Cost: $0. On top of the incorrect diagnosis, they also refused to give me the part number for the drain pump that they claimed I needed, stating it was their policy. Shady. I'm upset that I paid them $90 to come out and look at it then got some ripoff ploy. Avoid these people and find an honest repair business. read more

Ace appliance service was set up by an extended warranty company to service an appliance for me, unfortunately there was a mix up of store vs manufacturer extended warranty and the work could not be performed, but Tyler was so knowledgeable and helpful I would definitely consider using Ace in the future because of him. My only suggestion would be a courtesy call the night before service to give a time frame of when the technician will arrive. read more

Run Run Run!!! Do not even think of calling these thieves!!!! I called them for my dishwasher. The man was in and out the door in less than ten minutes and they charged me $90 for the service call, which I can sort of understand, and $90 for ten seconds worth of shop vac time. The guy at least showed me what to keep clean for next time. I complained about the bill and he said I'm not the first, hinting that it happens every day. I called the office to complain about the highway robbery. I suggested that they would do better to be honest and get repeat business than to rip people off and have them spread bad words about them. He said he would call me back after speaking to his technician. They never called. I wish I had just kicked the guy out the door with out paying and told them to sue me. No wonder they have a D rating from the better business bureau. Anyway, I feel good in that since then two of my friends have called me for recommendations and I said "Do Not Call Ace!!" and they didn't. I have used Ace for service on three appliances in the past four years and can't say enough about them. Prompt, reliable, knowledgeable and courteous. I've had CJ twice and Jim once and they were both great. Jim told me the trick of running the dishwasher with vinegar ( otherwise empty ), to clean it periodically. Today CJ was here. He took the dryer all apart to get to the no heat problem and sais he'd have to come back as he needed a part. I told him he could leave the machine apart rather than waste time reassembling and then disassembling. He said it was safer to reassemble and besides, sometimes things just get jostled into working. Ace appliance was recommended by Lowes to perform warranty work for my recent bought whirlpool washer. At the initial visit, a service person came within 2 weeks and said that he will order the part. Never heard from them again. I called several times within the next 2 months. Leaving messages and once I got a person on the phone, the woman was extremely rude and unhelpful. Finally, I called back the warranty company to explain my situation so they ordered me my washer part. About 3 months into this ordeal, the part was delivered to my home and then the warranty company scheduled me service back with Ace Appliance again. Ace scheduled my service a week out but I asked the Manager if they can do the work sooner than a week because of all the difficulties that I had been experiencing. I found him unapologetic and unprofessional as a manager. He blamed my bad experiences on the pandemic but I told him that is not an excuse not to follow up with his customers. I had Ace come to my house to repair my Whirlpool Range, They were sent by Lowes since it was still under warranty. He had to come back to complete the repair since he had to order the part. The repairman Matt was wonderful. My mother who was there to let him in had a problem with hearing him at the door. I called someone to go to the house to let him in. He waited patiently until someone came and first made sure my mom was OK. He was courtious, polite and an all round nice guy. He completed the repair in a timley manner with a great attitude. I can't state enough what an amazing company this is. I purchased an under-cabinet mounted GE microwave roughly a year ago. Unfortunately I neglected to keep the sales receipt, so when the microwave decided to short out on me, I was unable to claim the warranty on it. And this is after I already replaced another GE microwave with the one that broke on me! Suffice to say I was not looking forward to having to purchase another one, but after I loaded the appliance in the back of my truck, to take it to the recycling center, it dawned on me that I should check out some of the local appliance repair shops. Thankfully I came across Ace and I immediately found that they are aptly named. I showed up unannounced at their shop in Plymouth Meeting and was immediately greeted by the owner. He proceeded to explain the process of repair and I left with fingers crossed hoping he could save me a few dollars by not having to (re)purchase another unit. A few days later, I received a phone call telling me the repair was complete! Upon arrival I spoke with the owner and he said it was a minor issue of a fuse in the door or something like that. (I'm not an electrical guy, so it was all Greek to me!) The price for the repair was negligible compared to purchasing a new one, and I couldn't be happier! I will definitely use Ace again in the future as needed and highly recommend anyone else to do the same! read more

We have used these folks numerous times only because they are local. It is never right with them. The last call was for our washer machine. I diagnosed the issue, bought the part... I just could not access the area of the washer to install the part correctly. The Ace repairman created such a mess in our house that they had to send back a second guy to clean up the first person's mess.... and even then it was not completely fixed. They are expensive... every repair takes at least 2 trips to your house. They never have the part to fix the appliance and they make a mess. On one trip they damages my hardwood floors in my kitchen and on another they repaired the wrong thing in the appliance. They fixed something that was not broken and tried to charge us. I AM DONE WITH THEM. You are better off setting your appliance on fire and buying a new one. I do have to say that the administrative staff is very nice and they did offer us a credit for our troubles but that was even a fight to get. read more

Do not use. Lowes sent ACE appliance to my house to fix my Maytag washer because it would not rinse/spin or drain. The repair man only went by the codes that he was seeing on his computer. He insisted that the issue was a controller board. I told him that I did not think that was the problem. After waiting quite some time for the part to come in the washer still did not work. I tried to get them to send the repairman back to look at the washer the same day but they refused and offered me another repair day. Long story short, the person who I spoke with at Ace Appliance was rude and unaccommodating. I called Lowes and lodged a formal complaint. Lowe's scheduled an appointment with Ace for a repair to my Whirlpool refrigerator. I was scheduled for a 1-5 PM window for the repair. Both my wife and I work so I had to take off work for the afternoon. I was told by Lowe's that I would receive a confirmation phone call about the repair appointment. When I didn't receive one, I called Ace Appliance Service at 1:15 PM and spoke to a woman who said the repairman was at the call before mine and should be at my home in an hour. At 3:45 PM a man who said he was Bill the service manager called to say the repairman was stuck at a previous repair and wouldn't be coming. He offered no assistance in having someone else come and said I should "complain to Lowe's". What great customer service. I guess this is a similar excuse to the "he got sick" or 'he got hurt" response many of the other posters on this thread report. I contacted this company to repair an issue with my refrigerator. The refrigerator was moved out of its location to make the repair. After the repair was made I noticed several floor tiles were damaged and immediately contacted the company and request that they fixed what they damaged. I informed a company representative that the floors were just installed. The company denied being at fault citing that I had no proof it was them that damaged my new tile floors. The company never once contacted me to try to amend this issue and refused to fix the damages. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Completely arrogant and incompetent and I have the video to prove it! Wish I'd read these reviews - read mine and save yourself the trouble! Contacted ACE to repair my dryer's squealing noise. They never stated there was a non-refundable service fee of $95 when I asked if giving them the mfg and model # would help so they could bring the parts with them. They said it would be helpful, but never stated that they do not carry the parts, nor would they bring them with. Other repair companies apply the service fee to their actual work; ACE does not. Matt came to my house and diagnosed it was the rollers that needed to be replaced without taking the dryer apart - telling me a squealing noise is always the rollers (Roger, the parts manager, also tells me this in a follow-up conversation). If they know that, why do they need to come to your house first - to charge you the service fee! I ordered the rollers. Matt came back, banged on my dryer for a while, and was supposed to have installed 4 new red rollers. He put the dryer back together and ran it for 5 seconds to make sure it would run then stated "Don't call me, I'm never coming back here." I put a load of laundry in the washer and when I put that load in the dryer an hour later, the dryer was now making a THUMPING sound which it never made before. I immediately called ACE to report it and was told Matt was not available for the rest of the afternoon. I made an appointment for another guy to come look at it. Joe came and took off the top & front panels, listened to the noise, then stated "I'm not going to waste any more time taking this apart until I get the new parts [rollers]." How can you diagnose a noise without taking it apart so you know what parts you need? They ordered another set of 4 new red rollers, because I was assured by Roger that the only thing it could be is the rollers. Joe came back out, and since I was alone and not comfortable with the service I had received so far from ACE, I videotaped Joe's work. Joe took the dryer apart and when trying to install the new rollers, showed me that one of the rollers was BLUE and a different size than the new red ones. I inquired as to how it was blue, since I paid Matt to install 4 new RED rollers, so if he'd done the job I initially paid him for, there should be RED rollers, NOT blue ones in the dryer. Joe's response was that he had no idea, maybe there were old ones lying around the shop that they used. I explained, NO, I paid for, and Roger ordered me 4 new rollers; I saw Matt bring 4 RED rollers. What color are the ones you brought? and Joe answered RED. So, not only did Matt cheat me by not installing all the new rollers I paid for, he damaged it & my dryer is now making a worse sound. Joe could not figure out why it was now making this thumping noise and said he'd have to call his service manager Bill and he said he didn't know if he'd be able to come. I said call him now. Bill came and said it was the new rollers and that LG "used whatever they had available". I asked if they had the correct rollers and was told, both by Bill, and later by Roger in a taped voice mail, that "these are the only rollers" for your dryer. Since the roller was moving around as the dryer drum rotated, that was supposedly causing the new thumping sound and Bill would get a shim washer to rig it so the roller wouldn't move so much. They came back with a shim washer and after they installed it, it was still thumping. I explained my dryer never made that noise before and it's not working properly. Bill said "That's as good as you're going to get." When I called later to complain, I told Roger I was going to send a letter and he threatened me that if he returned my money, he'd "better not see any bad reviews from me!" He offered to look up to see if he can find me some other parts and, all of a sudden now, he can find other rollers - white ones - that would fit in my dryer. Roger also tried to claim that LG had a known drum seal problem and that was probably the problem. He didn't bother to look the first couple times I asked to make sure if they had the right parts, now conveniently he suggests a drum problem? BTW, both Matt and Joe took the dryer apart and checked the drum - several times, so it wasn't the drum. Roger didn't know that you had to take the drum out to put in the rollers - he's ordering the parts, yet doesn't know where they go or how they get to them. When I told my husband about the non-repair, the attitude of the service manager and the threat from Roger, he called and asked for our money back. They refused to give us the full amount I'd paid - even though I could find no where that it states their service fee is NON_REFUNDABLE nor applied to their actual service! I'm keeping the videos of their INCOMPETENCE WITH ATTITUDE! Stay clear of this company! read more
