Well, guess who found a nail in his tire before work? Once again, I stopped by and Cherida was kind enough to get me in for a patch. After a very reasonable wait for another walk in, they brought my car around back and put it up on the lift to pull the nail. They also found a second nail in my tire, which I had missed. After pulling both nails, and performing a leak test, neither puncture was leaking. ACE has incredible integrity in my opinion. Any other place would of sold me two patches, and a few would of tried to sell an unnecessary tire. ACE is my new favorite neighborhood mechanic!! read more

I have an old car that my brother gifted me with - and I'm so very appreciative of him and Queenie, that's her name in honor of Queens, NY since I just moved to Boynton Beach a year ago. Queenie has been shaking a lot and stalling and overall I could feel something was wrong. Since I'm new to the area, I didn't know where to take her and not be taken advantage of. Two weeks ago I run into my neighbor/friend and tell her my concern over using my car for fear that I would be stranded somewhere I'm not familiar with. She told me about Don and his wife Cherida at Ace Auto Repair. She had nothing but praise for them and the service they provide at their repair shop. She further said they will not take advantage of you (being a lone woman taking in a car for repair). I contacted Don and he told me to bring in the car the very next day. I was greeted by his wife Cherida who was all too pleasant and knowledgeable. They took my car round to their shop in the back and in minutes were able to tell me what looked to be wrong, they even fix/changed the brake light that I didn't know was out - at no cost!!! She said she didn't want me to get a ticket before I brought the car in for further repair. Since they were super busy, she asked me to bring back the car the next day first thing so they could work on fixing the other problems. I took the car in at 8am and left it for them to do what needed to be done. Throughout the day I received a couple of calls from Cherida informing me of other issues Queenie had and she told me the course of action and price quote! I love the detailed attention and communication from Cherida. They promised they would have the car all fixed by the end of the day since I needed the car early the next day, and true to her word - Cherida called to tell me the car was ready and I could pick up Queenie before 5pm. The mechanic who worked on my car reminded me that there were other (electrical issues) problems with the car but nothing urgent where I couldn't drive it. First time I've driven Queenie and felt confident that I was safe and I wouldn't be stranded, that's worth everything! And their charge - wow!!!! So reasonable, they surely do not take you for a ride! I have my very own mechanic in Boynton Beach, WooHoo!!! I am taking her back and fixing the other problems still pending!!! First bought my "99 Sebring JI Convertible 2 years ago and with only 58K miles on it I had to find a good mechanical and honest shop,Talked to a few and walked into Ace Auto. After talking I felt very comfortable and brought the car in, dropped it off and as discussed, a complete go through (was sitting in garage for 5 years) and all fluids change..ect... They had it for 3-4 days and after finding a few things (new front disk and rotors, Timing belt (a pain with the Mitsubishi 2.5.) I drove away pleased with a good looking good running car. 2 years later, had a 45MPH shimmy and a loose steering wheel.. Diagnosed, no second thoughts, said go ahead. So, after replacing the R&P steering box, linkage ect I drove off with a car that had to be the same as driving it off the show room floor..The new handling just blew me away... I called Ace to bring my 10 year old car in for an oil change, made the appt. and when I drove up I realized that I used to come to this shop years ago. I'm disabled now and can't do a lot of walking so had to stop using the dealer. Ace has new owners now, but still do excellent work. The lady behind the counter is so knowledgeable. I listened to her describing to other customers their problems with their cars. I heard her talking about freon and asked if they would check my car and sure enough I needed to add some. Awful experiences! Avoid this place at all costs. It's more expensive than the dealership. Also the guy broke my car's valve covers by over tightening it, then he fixed them again. It ended up costing over $800. Then I went to my dealership and they did the same job for hundreds of dollars less. I will not be returning. read more

Owner made a response to my one star review of 4/4/2013 in which he stated additional falsehoods. He claims that a month later (AND 3,000 MILES LATER) that the bolts disappeared from the splash shield panel. There is NO WAY that I put 3000 miles on this car in a month! That's like driving across the whole US. I am a snow bird and perhaps 300 miles in a month on this car (one of two we drive) is more accurate. Keep in mind that there were NO BOLTS in the splash panel and that we are the original owners. Anyone who selects this shop has fair warning. read more

Very great customer service! Went in around 8:30 in the morning for an oil change and they were able to squeeze me in and get started on it right away. I was unable to get the name of the woman working at the front desk, but she was very nice and friendly. They were also very honest in telling me my car was in good shape (which i knew), but i was very pleased in them saying this where as most places try to sell you on something else needing to be done or fixed. The repairs were quick, reasonable priced and with a warranty. Other places wanted near $200 to diagnose my car before labor and parts. This place has a nominal fee which goes towards cost of repairs anyway when you get it fixed there. The owner is a good man. He knows how to run a business and treat his customers right with high respect. Just know going in there is a kinda high fee (high in my opinion, perhaps I'm not in the know of what high fees are) if you use a credit card to pay. I wasn't aware of that until the day after I paid and saw the discrepancy. However the owner IMMEDIATELY resolved this issue with me. I will for sure be back for all my car repairs. read more

Just had my a/c fixed. I've been sweating it out not wanting to spend too much money fixing my a/c. Until I called ACES i was getting quotes that were astronomical. I was referred by a friend who told me how fair this place was and how she won't go anywhere else. Glad I followed her advice. I needed a compressor AND condenser and still paid less than my other quotes for just the compressor. There was a little snag in the road with the part he ordered and it took a little longer than expected, but they accommodated me and picked me up. My car is ice cold. I'm so happy I went with ACES. I called this auto repair on 1/25/16, and spoke to the manager's wife. Wow, she was NASTY, RUDE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She belongs in the basement doing billing. No customer service experience at all. I wanted to have my car fix and have been there many times before. I told her I would be there Tues 1/26/16 and she told me to come in the morning. I asked her if I could make an appt, she said they don't do that. I went there and told her who I was, and she said I needed an appt. She made some notes and said the manager (Her Husband) would call me. NEVER DID. I called Wed, she said he would call me. NEVER DID. Visiting this FL area and hoping to find a quality shop for car repairs. NOT THESE PEOPLE! Took them two tries and $1500 to fix a squeak in my Lexus. First it was an belt tensioner, then an alternator a week later. Out $1500. But wait, there is more! A month later the splash shield panel under the engine fell out...no bolts holding it. It went 114,000 miles without a problem and then this happened...and then they claimed they never touched the panel on either of the two repairs. Took another $350 at Lexus to repair it...never bolted in place. AVOID! read more
