The following will give you a taste of what I experienced and what you can expect: (1) they ordered the wrong parts for my Porsche Targa 4 S; (2) were were unable to obtain the correct parts; (3) they continually lied about the cost of the repairs, timing for completion; and (4) they never refunded over $1,100 of deposits required to be posted upfront so they could order the parts. I recently had a frustrating experience with Elite Auto Repair. From the start, I felt there was a significant lack of communication regarding the status of my car repair. I was promised updates, but I found myself constantly having to reach out for information. On multiple occasions, my calls went unanswered, and I was left in the dark about when my car would be ready. To make matters worse, when I finally received a response, I was given vague and inconsistent answers about the repairs being done. It felt like I was being misled about the timeline and the cost. I was quoted a specific price, but when I went to pick up my car, the final bill was much higher without any clear explanation for the increase. This lack of transparency made me question the overall honesty of the service provided. I believe that good communication and trust are vital in any service industry, especially when it comes to car repairs. Unprofessional, Poor Communication, and Overpriced - Avoid This Shop! Back in January, I brought my car to this shop due to a noise coming from the engine bay. I spoke with Nick, the owner, who initially seemed like a nice guy. I informed him that I had extended warranty coverage, which should prevent me from paying out of pocket. He assured me there would be no issue; they would diagnose the problem, gather evidence, and start a claim with the warranty company. At the time, Nick seemed extremely busy, constantly answering phone calls and multitasking while his mechanics pushed my car into a parking space. Our conversation was brief, and I left my car in their care. Lack of Communication and Delays A week went by with no updates, so I called the shop. Nick told me they were still building the case. Another week later, they requested my service records, stating that the warranty company would require them for any major engine-related claim. I promptly provided the records, but the warranty company rejected them because they were not in the required format and cannot be validated. Over the next several weeks, I made repeated calls to the shop, only to receive vague responses and no real progress. Communication from the shop was poor, and I only received updates when I initiated contact. After one month, my calls started going unanswered. For three days, I tried contacting the shop with no response. When I finally reached someone, conversations were brief and often disconnected. Nick rarely updated me unless something serious occurred, leaving me completely in the dark about the status of my car. I had to call the warranty myself to get the status of my car. Discovering Unauthorized Work Frustrated by the lack of communication, I decided to visit the shop in person. I asked to speak with Nick but was told he was unavailable due to a family emergency which I understood. I spoke with Moe, the manager, who was kind and informative, the only person who seemed genuinely willing to help. He explained that they were still going back and forth with the warranty company and assured me I wouldn't be responsible for any costs. When I asked to inspect my vehicle, I was shocked to find it sitting on the lift, collecting dust, with the intake manifold and valve covers removed, a major disassembly that I was never informed about. At no point did anyone tell me that they would be performing such an extensive tear-down. Nick did tell me they were looking further into the problem, but I did not know it would have been all of this. Concerned about rising costs, I asked Moe what I would owe if the warranty denied the claim. He estimated $800 before taxes, again reassuring me that they would continue working with the warranty and I wouldn't need to worry. I left feeling uneasy but trusted that they would follow through on their word. Sudden and Unexplained Charges By the time two months had almost come, I was tired of waiting. I decided to pull my car from the shop and asked how much I needed to pay to retrieve it. To my surprise, Moe now told me the shop was charging for 5.6 hours of labor despite the fact that my car had been sitting untouched for a month. The shop charges $250 per hour, a rate I was never informed of, bringing the total to over $1,200. When I questioned the amount, Moe explained that their mechanic spent 5.6 hours disassembling the engine to diagnose the issue. However, no one had mentioned these charges until now nearly a month and a half after I first brought the car in. Under Florida law, I should have received a written estimate before the work was done, but by the time I was told it was too late my car was already in pieces. Despite Moe's earlier assurance that I wouldn't be responsible for costs if the warranty denied the claim, I was now being held responsible for the charges. Missed Inspection and Threats of Additional Fees To make matters worse, I learned that the shop had missed the first warranty inspection because no one was available when the inspector arrived. Although Moe admitted this was their fault, Nick later told me I would be responsible for paying for the second inspection. When I expressed my frustration, Nick became aggressive and unreasonable. He told me I had the option to authorize the second inspection but warned that if any further tear-downs were required, I would be responsible for those costs including any additional engine disassembly. By this point, the bill had increased to $1,500, and Nick added, they would start charging me $85 per day in storage fees. He also stated that he would ban my warranty from working with his shop moving forward and claimed my car was "costing him $3,000" by occupying a lift. I reminded him that I was never informed upfront that I would be responsible if the warranty denied the claim, and that they should have provided a written estimate as required by law. First time we used this shop. We were misled about a situation when we took vehicle in for a car Warranty agreement service. We were told the insurance company could get the part for half the cost but they couldn't actually deliver the part because it was unavailable. Elite could only find the original manufacture part at double the price and no after market parts were available that they could find. (Called later and were told Elite has access to the same part companies that the insurance company do. Which is it?) Called the insurance company to see what was going on, come to find out the part was available and could be delivered in the same amount of time directly to shop. I called back Elite received a different story that they don't like to have part directly shipped in and they charge a 20% mark up if they do and would need permission from manager. This still would have saved us $400 even after the 20% mark up. Plus there could be issues with the warranty if something happened (always a red flag with me when someone says that). I am just not sure if it was an honest pointing us away from aftermarket part or we were purposefully being misled. My recommendation is ask a lot of question if you are getting a warranty repair. The real issue hear is that they didn't disclose the entire situation to us and give us options. FYI - Shop rate for forgein cars is $195 insurance company will not pay that much so check first what rate the insurance will pay first. I know the insurance companies try not to pay these guys and everyone needs to make a living but the way the situation was handled makes makes me wonder about this shop. read more

Elite Auto "NON-Repair" was the worse decision we ever made. Do not take your vehicle to these crooks! The website brags that they are experts in convertible top repairs. Lies, Lies and more Lies!! We took our Mercedes SL500 to them fully expecting them to repair the leaking cylinders that operate the convertible top. While completing the repair, they broke the latch that makes the trunk close properly. Three weeks into this epic failure, the owner and manager began dodging our calls. We then decided to just show up to see what the real problem was which caused the delay in returning our vehicle. The Customer Service guy at my insistence showed how the convertible now opened, but got stuck when closing(this was not an issue when the car arrived at their shop). Finally, on 10/1 we were called and advised the car was ready. The unprofessional manager, Moe, delayed coming out to speak with us and when he emerged from hiding in his office, he was an absolute waste of time. He admitted the issue with closing the convertible occurred while in his care, yet he refused to offer any financial relief for us to take our car to a competent shop to fix what ELITE AUTO broke. The situation resulted in us requesting a call to the police to get our keys from these criminals. Not only did they cause new damage to our car, MOE the terrible refused to accept our credit card which they gladly accepted when we initially brought the car in. While the police waited, we were forced under duress to find a bank and bring cash to the crooked MOE!! Upon our return, MOE the terrible offered to reduce the bill if we would agree to sign a document stating we would not dispute or go on social media. I threw all the cash on the desk and told him he could not damage our car, insult us by refusing our American Express, force us to go find a bank AND silence me. Clearly his immigrant heritage doesn't understand that American citizens have the right to expect good service and will never sell our freedom to speak out when a merchant is incompetent, dishonorable and disgusting towards customers. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! When I arrived, the mechanic, Ray, told me I couldn't park where I was trying to park. When I told him I was sorry and that I didn't know where to park, he began to belittle me and said, "You can't see that this isn't a parking space?".... After berating me for a bit, he went on to say that he didn't need the job and he could have kicked my car. Now, good ole Ray didn't speak to the two young white girls the same way he spoke to me when they pulled into the same spot (Let it be noted that I'm a black male). No, he was nice to them... When I brought the incident up to management, they advised that he may have behaved like that because it was "so hot outside". Anyway... don't bring your vehicle there. I was contemplating buying a pre-owned Lexus in that area. I contacted Elite and they responded very quickly. They gave me almost a complete breakdown of the car. Mechanical they did a great job and sent me the checklist of all the areas checked. It cost me about $150 but I didn't even have to go there. The dealership sent the car to Elite Auto Repair per my request. All in all it was almost a perfect transaction. My only problem was that the car smelled like an ashtray. The smell was so bad it could be smelled from out side the car...The stench was horrible. I know it's not there responsibility but it would've been nice to get a heads up. Man are these guys awesome! I just moved from Orlando and had to get some things fixed with my car quickly but I am unfamiliar with good South FL repair shops. I found Elite Auto Repair online and hoped I would not have to pay an arm & a leg for repairs. To my surprise, these workers are so kind, helpful, honest, and want you to get a great deal. Their prices are fair, but what makes them even better is that they even help you get discounts via check ins or groupons! It's really a great feeling when you can trust your car repair man. What is even better is they care about following up about your repairs making sure everything is still working smoothly. I have been here twice now, once for normal wear/tear repairs and another for an oil change. They offer car services as well if you don't have a ride/ do not want to wait for your car. I got my oil changed in between my lunch hour for work which was really awesome they got me in really quickly, we set my appointment up day before! In Orlando I always had a wait so this was very refreshing. Pro Tip for those who will wait for repairs: they have Jersey Mikes Subs in walking distance! I would recommend this place to everyone. Sadly, i have significantly downgrade my rating for Elite. There is a sign in the office that says 'It takes a lifetime to earn a customer, but only seconds to lose one.' It must have just been left there by the prior owner, Alban Hoti. Alban apparently moved back to New York and sold the business. I had several of my cars worked on by Alban over at least 5+ years - when an occasional hiccup occurred Alban always made sure to make things right. After replacing my water pump, I quickly realized I still had a coolant leak. Elite took the car back in the next morning and determined that they had to replace an additional hose. They completed the work and did not charge me for the labor. After several more days, I received an alert and found that I had lost a significant amount of radiator fluid. Elite again determined that they had to replace another hose. Well I can understand that hoses may fail, but these additional failures occurring right after replacement of the water pump seems to indicate that they should have been discovered with the initial diagnosis. This time, they charge me for the parts and full labor - Over $1500. I was surprise, and suggested that I should get some consideration off of the labor, not even seeking all of it. If they had offered a discount of 20% I would've At least felt like they were trying to be fair. But they insisted on full payment. I feel like I was charged for them to learn what they should already know. If they had replaced these hoses during the initial work, the additional labor would've been minimal at best. It is hard to find a good shop in South Florida, so I am sad that I have to now go find another. Really, six months later you are trying to respond? When I first posted my downgraded review, you called me for a week offering a variety of things to buy a better review. I tried to let it go, but I think it is unethical for you to try to buy a better review, and then try to look like you responded to me six months later. read more

Normally I do not bother with less than good reviews. But, do your diligence. My Jaguar XF had a "no crank" problem. It had been to two other shops. I spoke to Nick who was pleasant. He had sent me a text and said that he may be able to talk me through my issue over the phone. I might not have to bring it in. I thought "ok, that's pretty cool and kind of unusual". So I had the car towed there. He called me later that day and told me that the engine was seized and that it needed to be replaced, along with the starter. The cost estimate was over $9,000!!. When he itemized everything, it just did not feel right. I have owned four BMWs and four Jaguars. I declined and towed the car to another shop. The new tech called me a couple hours later, and told me that the problem was a blown main power fuse. Total cost $166. I'm on the road again. You decide. read more

I found this place on Groupon. Apparently they focus on foreign cars...sport and luxury. I got a full synthetic oil change and an A/C recharge. With Groupon's 20% off promo, I believe my full synthetic oil change was $31...amazing. My A/C recharge was a great deal too. I called in to make an appointment 24 hours ahead...I think that's the way to go. Mo (he seems to be the face of the shop) took mine and my car's info over the phone. He told me it would take 2 hours...it did. Mo was friendly, professional, courteous and helpful, and my car seems to be very happy which makes me happy. It sickens me to have gone to yelp and find so many great reviews of these people compelling me to choose them. This was THE WORST experience that I have ever had with a repair shop. My vehicle would not start, so being nearby and wanting to keep my money in 'the neighborhood' and with a small local shop, it seemed like the natural choice, rather than having it towed a mere three miles further down the road to the dealer. Sure, they have cheery voices on the phone.. until they get embarrassed with their sloppy, lazy do-nothingness, hear my frustration, yet without raising my voice and Nick starts to yell at me and tell me that it's costing him $2,000/day to keep my vehicle in his bay. Guess what Nick, if Chris would have done his job, it would have been clear that it was mostly a simple double battery issue and I would've gotten it back to me within just a few days. They had it for TWO WEEKS and did NOTHING with it to get a diagnosis so that they can call it in to Car Shield and get the work approved, as well as get an authorization for a rental. Everything was excuses that they didn't have the technology to work on a simple 2018 American vehicle. See.. there were SO many complications in the technology and they had SO many processes to work through and so Nick mad it clear that "THERE WAS NO END DATE" on when my Jeep would be repaired. What professional says that??!! Seriously, WHO SAYS THAT AND EXPECTS TO STAY IN BUSINESS??? This was just before Christmas and I had to come out of pocket for $160 with Hertz. (Non-reimbursable, due the these slobs' approach.) Chris, in the bay, told me that he couldn't get someone on the phone with a third party to get access codes, so that their computer could speak to my jeep's computer, therefore, they couldn't get the diagnosis, figure out the simple problem and subsequently call in my claim to get things rolling. I asked who that third party was and the clown gave me the name, but, stated that it was against policy to give me their phone #. Seriously?? So, I googled it, called, hit 3 and immediately got a live voice. Apparently, Chris couldn't figure that out, let alone get back to Car Shield and explain the delay, which C.S. stated to me that had Chris done so, they would've authorized the rental. I am now also told that because of this miserable failing, Hertz will not be payed for the Christmas-time emergency rental so that I can see my parents who are in their 70s and C.S. get me reimbursed. Then I had finally had enough and towed it to the dealer, after two weeks of slobbery, where I should've sent it in the first place. They got it yesterday and told me that due to it being New Year's eve (and I don't have a vehicle) it won't be ENTIRELY READY FOR PICK UP Tuesday. (NOTE.. two weeks of Nothing vs. three business days of Actual completed work.) It gets better.. Chris quoted me $300 for the new battery and to get it released they charged me $435 for that lie of a quote. Thievery. I could get into even more detail, but, I'm tired of ever thinking about these people again, other than to urge anyone that ever needs a mechanic to Never go to them, based entirely on my unbelievable experience. I implore you, as a good neighbor, that you should never consider them as such. They stole so much time, over the holidays and then they steal $$ from me. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER! Elite is at best incompetent and at worst fraudulent. I brought in my Ford Escape for a check engine light on. Elite told me I needed two new sensors (turbo boost pressure and cooling system). $800+ later I picked it up and within 24 hours not only was the light back on, but the car was running really badly. I brought it back and they told me one of the new sensors was faulty. After keeping the car 5 days I picked it up again. Within 48 hours the light was back on. At this point I lost trust in Elite and brought it to Greico Ford. They told me the turbo boost sensor was the issue and that Elite never replaced the old one! The problem went away. The owner Nick meanwhile kept stringing me along saying I would get a refund. He then changed his tune and said they did replace the sensor. BTW, he never returned any of my calls or emails until I threatened to file a fraud claim with the FL AG Office. All of this took 6 weeks. Elite is dishonest, incompetent and possibly fraudulent. My Hyundai Sonata needed an interior door handle, exterior door handle, two window motors (regulators), and an oil change. The gentleman I met with, Nick was very courteous and professional. He said the oil change would be about $39, and he'd check with Car Max warranty people and inspectors to find out how much of the other work would be covered under me extended warranty, and he'd call me if the car needed anything that I would have to pay for out of pocket. Great. They took a long time to do the repairs, over a week. No biggie, I ain't going nowhere anyway what with the virus. And if I needed to, Car Max gives me $40 per day for a rental. When I came to pick up the car after 5pm I found out that they had charged me $40 for windshield wipers even though they didn't call me to let me know. Okay, no big deal. All the other work, close to $2000 was charged to Car Max. Here's where things get dicey. The car wouldn't start. The battery was dead as a door nail. The guy in the office jump (not Nick) started my car and told me to make sure not to shut it off for 15 or 20 minutes to let it charge. He told me the battery was good and the alternator was charging fine. He said sometimes when they replace those window regulators they drain the battery. And I'm thinking, don't they usually disconnect the battery to do such repairs and use a generator to supply power so they don't drain the car's battery? I said nothing as I wasn't sure. I drove for 20 minutes to a destination, and let it idle for another 5 minutes, plenty of time to charge up, and only then did I shut the car off. When I came back 20 minutes later the battery was dead as a door nail again. By now Elite was closed. The next day I called and spoke to Nick. He said that when they replace window regulators they have some sort of generator or battery pack to assist the car's battery but it's still connected to the circuit and if the car's battery is weak then there might be problems. Ya think? He said my battery was weak. Well, it is now after hours of cranking the windows up and down during the procedure. I wonder why they didn't know that my battery was weak before they told me the job was finished? And don't forget the inconvenience of winding up with a dead battery and getting stuck. So the next day I spoke to Nick again. He didn't want me to have to go be inconvenienced by having to go with the tow truck driver to get my car and bring it to back to Elite. Nice, I appreciate that. Only they sent over a tow truck driver that literally couldn't speak or understand one word of English. Hey, I have NO problem with immigrants who come to this country like my grandparents did to make a better life. But if you NEED to speak English to do a job, why does Nick send a poor hard working guy who can't possibly succeed at the task? Long story short, he couldn't understand my instructions about where the car was parked and he couldn't find the car. So I had to BORROW a car and drive over to meet him. Nick ended up charging me for that battery even though I said, I never had one single problem with the battery in the 2 and 1/2 years I've had the car, so why don't you give me a discount on it? He charged me $170 for the damn battery. He also said I needed a damn starter motor but that was paid for by my Car Max warranty. Nice people, but I won't be back there any time soon. read more

What a shame I have been a customer of this company for sometime I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in warrantee repairs and cash out of my pocket they are not the cheapest they are a little expensive but I always like the service and the personality of the owner Nick Welp it appears times have changed. I made an appointment for a sip of oil change with Nick he told me no problem come in today at 11 o'clock I told him I had a new extended warranty plan he said great and I said they cover oil changes and when I go in he has some person working there not him or his brother who told me that you have to leave the car all day and I explained I only want a Noyle change and he said well that's what you have to do I said well wait a minute it doesn't make any sense Nick didn't say anything about that he let me walk out the door. So I called Nick he called me back right away told me they have a new business model they've expanded this location they've taken over lots of space and they no longer do simple things like oil change on a warranty without inspecting the whole car and it takes 2 to 4 hours to get it approval from the warranty company and that's a bunch of malarkey so I will say I will not use this company again they've gotten too big and forgot about taking care of their good customers, I wish them good luck with your new business model read more

Awesome attention to service in my 04 Civic. Unfortunately my car was stolen two days later and chipped straight from a hotel today.

The downside of owning a European car is always the cost and inconvenience of having repairs and maintenance. Like most Porsche owners, I prefer to have repairs and maintenance done by certified dealerships; this compounds the costs by as much as 300%. Elite Auto is a godsend. Not only did they do a routine oil change for 25% of the average cost, they followed up diligently with any other issues with the Porsche, as well as my Prius, which I use as a spare. They are also willing to pick up and drop off, provide rentals, but most importantly, they will work around your schedule. Nick, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with and seems very trustworthy and competant. They have a comfortable waiting area and work was completed in under an hour. I had Car max Warranty and found out that this shoo accept it. Called and set up an appointment. Showed up in time, explain to them what my car needs and left. They called me back after two hours and explained everything to me what they found after inspecting beside what I told them to fix, I gave authorization, they provided me a loaner. and I picked up my car next day surprisingly my car was detailed when I received and felt so great driving it after they repaired my car. They basically made me fall in love with my car once again. Very professional and friendly people. Knowledgeable and courteous. All I had to do is just drop my car and pay deductible and they took care of everything else. Highly recommend them. read more

Are you went to elite auto repair and was not satisfied with the workmanship on the way to return my vehicle plus they weren't able to complete all of the work that we had discussed previously he said that the Porch that I provided for the rear shocks we're not correct for my vehicle he said they tried to install them but they couldn't I went somewhere else with the same sharks and they had no problem putting them in the sink the problem was the mechanic who try's to install Them you need to be knowledgeable to work on my vehicle I didn't think Struts would be a problem also they charged me the same price as if they had replaced them they said it was my fault that I brought the wrong struts in now wouldn't you think you would take one signed off and see if the new struts fit correctly evidently they didn't do that before trying to install the Struct so he said that it was the same amount of labor and it was my mistake that I didn't bring in the proper struct so I paid the bill and left I can't recommend this repair shop I believe from my experience they don't have the capabilities to Handle difficult repairs. Today I was contacted by the owner of Elite audio and to his credit he agreed with me and was very apologetic for what occurred At his repair shop he was a real gentleman and he was very happy that I posted this on yelp but not happy about the negativity of my posting he explained to me that he had spoke to his Technician and said that he would like me to come to the shop so that he can make things right he also said that the Technician stated he did not like the way the struts fit and it would cause a problem to my tires because they would not fit correctly! After speaking to Nick about the conversation that he had with his technician I could understand why the technician did not replace the rear struts and I appreciate his honesty and that he looked out for my well-being Elite Auto offered to replace the rear struts for me without any labor cost which I felt was very fair being that I paid for all the label the first time. I only wish I had this conversation with the technician so that I could have make a fair posting but after speaking with (Nick) about my experience at his repair shop which was quite long may l add, I felt more confident in their ability to rectify our misunderstanding. I must say Nick was a real gentleman and a very good businessman and for all of his efforts and time to rectify this situation ! I also would like to say thank you Elite Auto and their staff ! And give elite Auto the recognition they deserve So I am changing the one star that I previously gave them to a more appropriate five star rating!
