My wife and I have been using Eric's Wrench for about 16 years. When I started he had one woman at the office, and I believe only Eric working on just Toyotas. Over time growing to a larger facility, handling all types of cars, and more mechanics. Unlike all the horrible experiences we've had with our dealers, nothing but wonderful experiences with Eric's Wrench for all these years. I'd like to describe two events, one at our beginning and one very recent. About 15 years ago a young woman was almost in tears, her car had 6 things wrong for about $600 from her Toyota dealer. I sent her to Eric, 4 were perfectly fine, one didn't even exist and he fixed the "6th" for $45. For the next 15 years every thing has been great. Make an appointment and they starts on that time and almost always finish the time they estimated. We've never had to go back for anything that wasn't done right. My last visit was just routine, but after all these years, I asked if they could adjust my dashboard so I can see a compass and see the air pressure in all 4 tires. I took it out, saw the compass but not the tire pressure. One of the mechanics actually took me out in my car, explained that it is not possible to see both at the same time, but they set it up so that all I had to do was hit 1 button to get to the pressure and hit it back for my compass. I called for a quote on service for my 2013 Veloster. It needs a wind shield fluid tank or hose. I mentioned it wasn't the pump and I understand the work involved with getting access to it. I was told they don't give over the phone quotes. In this time of internet AI they should give quotes stating it is an "approximation ". Why as consumers should I have to drive to a shop and waste my time. It is a matter of looking up the part and adding the labor. This seems that the shop is afraid of "Quote Shopping ". I live 45 minutes away but someone highly recommended them so I decided to try them. When I called to make an appointment, I explained what I needed to have done. When I arrived, they said they weren't expecting to do the work, they just wanted to see what needed to be done and I would have to come back. When I told him I live 45 minutes away, he reluctantly squeezed me in. They were more expensive than I was lead to believe and I had to go to another shop afterwards to fix one of their mistakes. The staff is not very friendly and talked poorly about customers after they left. I paid more to fix their mistake because I didn't want to deal with them again. I don't recommend them! read more

Eric's Wrench was recommended to me on Ask Boca. I had been searching for an "electrical master mechanic" for 3 years after numerous failed attempts and trying to fix my PCS system ( cruise control, braking and sensors knocked out,) the OEM inverter and fuel/oxygen sensor (?) did not work, and the rear seat fuses kept blowing. I was replacing the rear seat fuse 3-4 times a year every time I needed to lower the rear seats. I also found out another mechanic incorrectly installed the fuel/oxygen (?) sensor and installed the incorrect one for my Toyota. I will be returning for some 70K maintenance! A gem in Delray Beach! I don't write a lot of online reviews, but these guys really deserve one. The starting battery on my 2015 Avalon Hybrid died, and none were available. When I finally found a dealership with the stock, they wanted $568 plus a disposal fee. A coworker recommended Eric's wrench. They saved me more than $150, and were thoroughly professional throughout. Kudo's to Vlad, who quarterbacked my repair, and to Eric, who runs a top-flight operation. Personally, had a good experience (starter replaced) in my Lexus SC430. Labor intensive job that most places cant or wont do. Only complaint was my car was dirty with oily handprints when I went to pickup.Prices are reasonable, and people are friendly. read more

We brought our 2014 Lexus 570 there for some deferred maintenance and repairs. They were extremely knowledgeable and got the job done right. The AHC system in the Lexus even gives dealers headaches. We're very happy with their work. Don't let Dealers scare you that only they can work in advanced systems. I've been a customer of Eric's wrench for awhile. So the light in my Lexus came on saying low air in tires, so went to Eric's wrench to get air and make sure everything was ok. They charged me 53.94 to plug a tire that had a nail in it. For that price I could've gotten a new tire. Even expressed my discontent. The woman said that they plug the tire a certain way blah blah blah. Prolly won't go back b cause I feel super gouged. Anywhere else would've been 25.00. So disappointed. read more

I have had two experiences with Eric's Wrench. The first one was in 2018 replacing an evaporator in my 2008 Lexus. I had received several quotes and Eric's Wrench was in the middle. I knew they did quality work from the reviews and specialized with Lexus. I decided on them. They provided a loaner and I was able to pick up the car the same day which really surprised me considering how difficult the job was. To this day, in March of 2020, the Lexus has been going great. In Dec of 2019, my Infiniti G37 was stuttering at stop lights and I was receiving possible transmission error codes. I tried a couple of simple things via forums with no luck. I knew I was in for a very expensive repair and took the car to Eric's Wrench to determine what the damage would be. A couple of hours later, I received the fateful call. My stomach literally turn. What I was about to learn was probably the best surprise I have had in a few years. The only thing wrong with the car were two cracked air intake hoses. Both were replaced and the car had tested with no issues. To this day the car has been running great and no more check engine lights. Even though I have to drive from Jupiter, it feel it is well worth it to take my car to Eric's Wrench. read more

I was in and out in just under 30 minutes. The charge was reasonable. The waiting room was very nice. I've been going to Eric's Wrench since I found out that my last mechanic was a con artist/liar/all-around bad person, who costed me $3,000 to repair my RAV4. A friend of a friend, Eric was referred to me as honest, upfront and good with Japanese makes. Years later, I've referred my ex-husband, sons and friends to Eric because he does a great job of keeping my car running, safe and in great condition. He's literally saved me $2,000 when an warrantied transmission malfunction had him taking my car to the Toyota dealership. He looked up the warranty online, printed out all of the necessary paperwork and handed it to me with my receipt. I was reimbursed by Toyota a month later. He's also found my son two great used cars. His shop is clean; his technicians are friendly; and his wife is brutally honest when it comes time to pay. I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else. Period. read more

I found Eric's shop via yelp! after my wife received a quote for a number of items that the Toyota service department said she must have done, at a tariff of almost $3,000. Considering the minimal use my wife's car gets and some of the recommended repairs I turned to yelp to find an independent auto shop to review their findings. I arrived for my appointment and Eric's team went to work reviewing my wife's Camry and the items of the car that "needed" to be repaired. 45 minutes later the mechanic comes out and informs me that the vehicle is in immaculate condition, not a thing is wrong or any of the "needed" repairs are remotely needed. I thank the gentlemen and pull out my wallet to pay and he informs me there would be no cost. Wow! I've never had that happen at a service shop before. I committed to him I would be bringing our vehicles here for the next service required going forward. Honest, professional and kind. I'm due for a major service on my Lexus and intend on giving them my business. After that service I will update again. read more

I've taken my car to some Lexus dealers and just don't get the quality of service I get from Eric. The dealer offers coffee, pastries, a gym, teeth whitening, massages, mani/pedis, cheesy resort wear etc but can't even fix my car correctly. Eric bypasses all that junk and gives honest service at an honest price. His shop is small and clean and very personable. It's nice to be able to actually talk to the tech that's working on my car, just like if I go to the doctor. He's diagnosed problems with my car that the dealer couldn't, and saved me money. Here in South Florida it's a constant struggle to find honest service and to avoid getting ripped off, or even worse, paying for someone to actually screw your car up even worse. I spent over$300.00, spent 8 hours waiting at the shop, on 3 different days, just to get one cheap hose replaced on the steering reservoir. The "mechanic" was supposed to fix the steering leak and adjust the accelerator cable, and did neither but took a high speed joyride on the highway in my antique Lexus causing a very slow oil leak to become massive, and now it dies often and runs rough, after driving 10,000 miles before, without fail. This guy was the worst by far of about 6 mechanics I've been to with this car. read more
