This used to be a just-fine laundry. Shirts and slacks are cleaned pretty well -- about as well as any other laundry. But some time in the last year, they hired a new person for the front of the store. In six or eight months of going every 10 days or two weeks, the new person has never looked me straight in the eye. She has yet to say a single welcoming or happy word to me -- not even "hello." Her greeting is "phone number?" in a sullen tone of voice. OK, I get that their system identifies customers by phone number, but really, is that a greeting? How about "hello. Can I get your phone number to look you up?" Is that so hard? Asking her to note that a spot needs particular attention gets a sigh and an oppressed look. It's just depressing to come here, so I'm going elsewhere. read more

Thoughtful and polite service and they pay attention to covid protocols and safety! The clothes come back clean and safe. Alejandra is so nice and works Saturdays till 3! The prices are also very affordable. The owners have multiple locations and 1 main faculty for the cleaning on the Westbank from what I understand. Dry cleaner was recommended to me after relocating to area. I took a large order to the cleaner, which included several designer pillow shams. When I picked up the order I was not notified that there was any issue. Several days later, after getting settled in a new home I unwrapped the shams only to find that they were half the size of the original Euro Sham they were when I took them to be cleaned and while being cleaned they had somehow been dyed a different color. I went directly to the dry cleaner not only with my receipt for the cleaner, but also with proof of purchase for the shams. I was told that I would hear from a manager that afternoon. It has been close to a week and despite leaving countless messages, stopping several times in attempts to see a member of the management team, I have yet to hear anything. I brought my WEDDING dress here to get steamed. Not only was it an hour late (with absolutely no notification that it was going to be late), but they steamed it with one bustle tied. I had about 40 ties for the bustle to give it a French look and they couldn't be bothered to check what they were steaming. My dress was very wrinkly around that spot and looked HORRIBLE and they refused to refund me. The dress was more wrinkly AFTER their job then it was before I dropped it off. My bridesmaids were rushing to steam my dress 30 min before I walked down the aisle as I did not have my own steamer to fix their catastrophe!!!!! read more

Awful alteration, over priced for something I could've done. Wanted to charge more cause they didn't listen and do the job correctly the first time. Their seamstress did a terrible job hemming a dress and only did half the work. There are also snags and stains on the dress which I never wore. These ppl will scam you without a second thought. ALERT ! After happy years here, we had to quit using this conveniently-located outfit when they changed pressers and ruined numerous pairs of slacks, cargo pants, and a photo-vest. The new presser crushes and melts everything. Our complaints were not comprehended by the nice little Asian Ladies, who answer with blank stares. Real talk, y'all. I have no idea what it means to get your clothes dry cleaned, and why only magicians with Clueless-esque clothing racks can do it. I agree with past reviewers, my clothes don't necessarily smell amazing, but they don't smell like the bar I wore it to either. All I know is I bring a clump of wrinkly clothing, and when I get it back, they're hung up nicely in plastic bags. I believe the policy is you have to pick them up within 40 days (check your ticket on this), and I'm horrible about remembering that I've dropped off something and nearly always lose my ticket. They haven't given away my clothes yet and let me pick up without the ticket. To be honest, it's sometimes fun to be surprised as to what I've left. I recently brought in a corset and some of the stains that had been on it from wear last Mardi Gras season were gone...but they also put safety pins in the fabric to adhere it to the hanger...This is a pretty standard practice for them if they have a skirt or something they can't hang, so if you don't want this to happen you should ask and, even then, they might still do it. Lastly, they will let you know if there is damage or if your clothes have a stain that they don't think they can remove, and you can't just sneak something in there that is handwashable that you don't feel like cleaning yourself. I've tried... I know nothing about pressing or anything of that nature, and I'm horrible at dry cleaning cost analysis but next time I go, I'll write a tip on cost per item! read more

I have been a long time customer because of the location and prices. No more. After the THIRD shirt in a row has been RUINED and DEFACED by the equipment and/or personnel, I will no longer be a customer. I suggested them to cover a patch ($6) or refund ($3.50) for the holes in my shirt. The gentleman told me there was no possibility it was Ace Cleaners fault. It is now their fault that they are losing customers because of their faulty practices. read more

Glad to find a decent dry cleaners near my house. Dropped off two skirts, a jacket and a blouse, total cost was just over $26. All items returned cleaned, although there's some lingering odor (NOT from the dry-cleaning, these were user-created odors) in a couple items of clothing. To be fair, I hadn't pointed these out when I dropped off the items, just figured they would come out in the cleaning process. So you may want to be sure to point out any trouble spots when you drop off. The staff did an *excellent* job of getting out all the cat fur matted into one of my wool black skirts. As another reviewer said - nothing special, but no strikes against them. Glad they took credit cards. I would use again for run of the mill dry-cleaning jobs. read more

I had 6 dresses and 3 (men's) shirts dry cleaned here recently. Total bill was $70 (~$9 a dress and $3.50 a shirt + tax) and they accept credit cards. Everything looked clean and well pressed. No weird chemical smell as another reviewer stated. The owner (I assume) spoke English well so communication wasn't a problem, but I definitely felt rushed like she didn't have time for me to specifically point out stains I wanted removed. When I picked up my items, one dress was missing from the batch - so definitely check your items before leaving. LOVE the Pomeranian they have running around. It's insanely small and cute (and yappy). Overall, it was a fine place to get your clothes cleaned. Nothing special but nothing that would keep me from recommending it either. I'd like to try out their alterations services - I was quoted $10 for dress hems w/o lining and $9 for pants - standard fare. I'll yelp about the alterations whenever I get around to dropping clothes off again. read more

Not the cheapest dry cleaner in town, but they've done a fine job on both men's and women's shirts and pants brought in over the past few months. They seem to have their own plant in the back which is actually a bit unique these days and I presume they don't have the volume to continually keep up with current technology and buy new equipment but in terms of the finished product everything has been fine so far. No complaints, and I'm a fan, plus they take credit cards (even American Express) in case you don't have cash on you. read more

3/5 it is what it is. i do my best to not own/wear dryclean-only clothing. but sometimes, it happens. i've found that when i then need those garments cleaned, that this place is convenient and reliable. they will generally be able to turn your stuff around in a few days and will have it ready by when they say they will. i once requested for something for under 72 hours and it was doable without extra charge. they have a system that stores your phone number, which i assume is another way they can find your stuff if you loose the little lavender ticket. for pants and a cardigan, it'll run you about $10ish, and i unfortunately don't have much other market research on hand for larger needs. read more

Been coming here to get my nice clothes cleaned since I moved here. I also had alterations done. The quality of work they do is good and I can get my clothes back in a timely manner. Some people, however, might get discourage because the people who work there speak with Asian accents. They are really nice and I talk to them about my time living in Asia. I want to love Ace. I REALLY want to. They're conveniently located, affordable, super nice and that cute pomeranian is always sitting near the door to greet my drop off and pickup. However this is the second time that I've got my clothes back and they smell like they've been sitting in an auto repair shop for a week. I thought it would go away but I'm actually wearing my Susanna Monaco dress now, and even after spritzing perfume on it before leaving home, I still keep smelling that weird, dirty smell...next time I'll spend a few more dollars and use One Cleaners. read more

I used to like this place. It was my go-to dry cleaners for a few years, and only once did they forget to re-attach a belt to one of my dresses that had to be removed pre-cleaning. And then last week, I picked up several items I had dropped up to get dry cleaned only to discover after getting them home that they smelled anything but clean. Can't really describe it but it was so bad that I was taken aback by the odor. That's $55 down the drain, and a loss of my patronage to their business. read more

I dropped off several dresses and a skirt. They did an excellent job getting water stains out of a silk dress. They were also very accommodating about alterations - zipper replacement and stitching up the neckline of a dress for a bit more modesty, quality work all for an extremely reasonable price. The service was terrible. I brought my jacket in on a Tuesday and was told to pick it up Saturday after 3 pm. So I arrived to pick up my jacket and it was closed at 3 pm because of New years Eve. So I will not have my jacket in time for the event I needed for. It would have been nice to warned by the cashier on an early closing time. I will never be using this cleaners again. read more

I went to Ace earlier today with a silk bridesmaid dress and sash. The seamstress who helped me said the spots wouldn't come out with dry cleaning. She told me I should wash the items by hand and bring them back to be pressed. I have had so many dry cleaners take my clothes, charge me an arm and a leg, and not clean my clothes; it was refreshing to have such an honest woman helping me. I'll definitely go back! read more

It's a shame to have to find a new dry cleaner as Ace's location has been so convenient for the past three years that I've been a regular customer. However, I will not continue to bring my business here after the debacle I've been dealing with for the past month. The complete lack of customer service or customer appreciation, as well as poor quality of work (the item that I brought in was given back to me stained - when I inquired about the stain, the women behind the counter let me know that there was nothing they could do now that it was set, and refused to refund my payment or offer any apology at all - referring back to the elusive "owner" who I could never manage speak with, despite leaving my number and asking to have him call me directly to discuss my disappointment) I have been a loyal customer and spent a significant amount of money with this business - they are not cheap, nor are they particularly timely but, again, the convenience was worth the additional time and $. Additionally, I've recommended them to friends and colleagues. As someone who works for and with small businesses in New Orleans, I expected better treatment from a small business in my neighborhood.
