I had brought in my husband's suit and pants to dry clean and it was quick and easy for drop-off and pick-up! It was ready in 3 days and they were nice when I pointed out a small food stain and they said it would be able to be removed with the dry cleaning. Very mom and pop but they've done a great job with my dry cleaning and I appreciate how it's a small business. I'd recommend not losing your little ticket though; the worker and I spent several minutes trying to find my clothes after I'd lost my stub. But they're quick and efficient so what else could you really want from your dry cleaner?! read more

DO NOT BRING ANYTHING HERE TO GET MENDED! I had never brought anything here but they came highly recommended. So, I decided to give them a shot. I brought a cashmere sweater that had a tiny little moth hole in the chest area for mending, a 50/50 cashmere and wool sweater and a thick wool sweater to dry clean. I figured, this would be an easy way to test the waters and see if the hype was real or just that, hype. AWFUL experience. They didn't turn my sweater inside out to mend the whole they stitched, so the bump of thread that would normally be on the inside of the sweater to mask the mending was visible for the world to see. Ok, one decently large fail...how was the dry cleaning experience? They didn't even clean the 50/50 sweater. There was still deodorant on it and I didn't even look like an attempt was made to clean it. I took the sweaters back and showed the owner. He scoffed at me and begrudgingly took the sweaters back to fix them. Hindsight, this was a terrible idea. First issue, the sweater that needed mending...While they did turn the sweater inside out to mend the hole this time, they turned what was originally a 1/2 a pea size hole into a 1.5 inch line and didn't match up the ribbing of the sweater so it is extremely visible. Not only that, but now there's another hole on the line of thread where they "fixed" the original hole and it's the size of the hole I brought in to fix... The 50/50 sweater was better but still didn't look or feel like a normal dry cleaned sweater. I wish I hadn't given them a second opportunity to fix their original mess up. I did it bc I know a lot of people go here so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But, like several other Nola hypes, this place is just that. Maybe it's so popular bc it's in the CBD where everyone works so it's convenient. I am not sure but please, DO NOT bring anything here for mending that you care about. I payed $45 to have to buy a new $300 sweater and take my 50/50 sweater somewhere else to get dry cleaned. Please learn from my mistake! read more

Had a real problem getting my wedding dress hemmed there. They hemmed only the underskirt. The sheer overlay not at all. I did not realize it until I wore it in my wedding day. I did not let it spoil our big day but it was a rookie error. I had used them many times before. My husband still does. I was extremely disappointed with the service. read more

I used T&A to tailor a suit, some sport coats, and a couple of trousers. The staff is friendly and they are pretty quick at getting the work performed. They quoted me a 10 day turnaround, but I called on day 9 to see if they were ready and they were so I was able to get them early. The price was a little higher than I expected when I walked in the door, but the service and workmanship lives up to the fee. They do good work! read more

It was Easter and I needed a new suit for a social event, but didn't want to spend a ton of time or money in the process. I ended up buying a relatively inexpensive seersucker suit offline using my normal sizing, but overall it was way too boxy and didn't really work for my body. The folks at T&A took great care to ensure an excellent fit from head to toe. The overall cost for alterations was a bit pricy in my opinion, but was definitely worth it for the finished product. read more

They do good work and on quick turn around, but it's going to cost you. I've gotten a couple of bridesmaids dresses altered by them, and I have no complaints about the quality work. I also have only gotten minor alterations done here. The cost is really the reason for the rating here. When I say they're pricey, we're talking $65 to hem a bridesmaid dress pricey. read more

I've always been happy with T&A Tailors plus they let me bring my dog in, which prompts five stars! Ive only tried one other dry cleaner since moving to New Orleans and had a wretched experience (they destroyed a dress and made me leave my dog outside!). I'm sure there are less expensive tailors in the area, but T&A is fast, in walking distance, friendly and consistent. Plus I can giggle saying T & A, sorry maturity isnt my best quality! One note, they only take cash, but you can pay at drop off or pickup. Also, theyre not too prompt about their opening times, so if you're getting there early, I'd suggest calling in advance! read more

This spot is my go to for all alterations! They do a wonderful job with even complicated (multiple layers) bridesmaid dresses. WARNING: if you are taking something to be altered for a special occasion....look for another place!! Took my bridesmaid dress to be altered. Dress was a 10, I'm a 4. After they altered it there were bubbles in the seams that hadn't been there before and not enough had been cut out, meaning the dress on the bottom, an a-line cut, was still way too big. When I asked her about the bubbles, she simply took the dress and sewed over the bubbles, making for a sloppy line...and now there is more of a bubble. When I asked why more couldn't be taken out, she didn't have much of a response besides saying she had already taken a lot out. Really?? I'm sure they're good at putting in zippers and hems, simple , uncomplicated jobs, but I would definitely not bring any item of clothing that I needed to wear for a special occasion back there. I paid $54 dollars and she wouldn't fix it saying she had already taken a lot out. Took the dress to someone else to fix, who said they could have cut another few inches out easily and that the job looked sloppy. read more

I have had several items tailored at T & A and they have always done an absolutely supurb job on not-so-easy projects. First, I had the layers of an expensive costume skirt completely personalized to fit me correctly. (Im in a marching group.) Second I had a "jumper" taken down a complete size and I promise you would never know the difference! Thats worth 20 dollars to me. I havent yet had anything dry cleaned, so I cant really speak to that service, but am happy with the alterations so far. They have even offered to stay open late for me to pick up! These guys were really rude. Almost acted like they were pissed I came in to do business. No one there spoke English and it was just a mess. Their website states nothing about their hours of business, and one would figure a dry cleaner would open early, but no go, 10am?? Just something so simple made difficult and uncomfortable by rude jerks! Won't be going back EVER and suggest finding another place to do your dry cleaning as this place is put out by doing what their business suggests. read more

I was VERY unhappy with this tailor for several reasons. First, they charged me $50.00 to hem a gown. I was charged double because there was two layers of a dress. While that was a steep price, I was willing to pay for it because it was on short notice and the store is near my work. But then, when I went to pick up the dress (on the day of the event I was wearing it to) the shop was closed! The owner specifically told me the store was open until 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday and the sign on the door said they are open until 6:00 p.m. I arrived at 4:45 p.m. I was able to contact the owner and get my dress in time, but it took close to an hour for him to arrive. He was very rude and gave no apologies for closing early. To make matters worse, while I was waiting another customer showed up looking to have a suit tailored. She was told the tailor would be there until 6 p.m. However, the tailor was long gone and the poor customer drove over a half hour with no one to take her measurements. Please beware of this store. It's not worth the convenience of working close by if they are not open when they advertise and hold your dress hostage. read more

I have been using these guys for years and recommend them to others. For those who complain about price, you get what you pay for. I use to take my dry cleaning to a cheaper place, and they burned a sweater. I have never had anything like that happen here. They have done alterations for me (smaller and larger) and everything turns out great. And to the girl who complained about the wedding dress. We have been going here for all of our alterations about 3 years now. They do an excellent job in both men and women's clothing. They do all of my husband's work clothes including suits, slacks, coats, and button down shirts. He is a very slim fit and needs almost everything he buys altered. I go there to get dresses/skirts taken-in at the waist. The only problem is they don't take credit card so you need to pay in cash or check. read more
