I had a Disney jacket given to me by a good friend, but the cuffs were stretched out. I took the jacket to another cleaner/tailor and was told it was impossible to replace the cuffs. I bought new cuffs and basted them on. Took the jacket to Ace Cleaners and Amy did a beautiful job of sewing the cuffs on and even included serging to keep it from raveling. They only charged $15.00. After reading the many positive reviews about Amy and Ace Cleaners, I decided to try them for my dry cleaning and alterations. I have been going there for many months now and they have far exceeded my expectations. Amy, the owner, is wonderful, very friendly and professional. She has a Master's degree in fine arts and her art background really shows in the quality, care, and details of her alterations. I have had several sport jackets and dress pants tailored and they have all been expertly done by Amy. In addition, she completes the alterations in a week's time, which is pretty much unheard of here in Sonoma County. Dry cleaning is also of the highest quality, with a quick turnaround time. Again, there is much pride in the work done. I give the highest rating to Amy and Ace Cleaners. If I could give six stars, I certainly would. Terrific. read more

I own both a down feather bed mattress topper and a down comforter. It's kind of a pain to get them cleaned because the turn around time is always slow due to how long it takes for the feathers to dry, so I always put it off longer than I should. I kind of picked Ace by chance, because it's close to home and I shop at Oliver's. I dropped off the feather bed one day and was a bit surprised at the price ($103), but then was happily surprised the following day when I dropped off the comforter and was only charged $38. When I have had them cleaned in the past, I was charged the same price ($80) for both, so this was actually less expensive. Cleaning was completed on time as promised (one week later), and I was very pleased with the results. Both items smelled fresh, looked great, and I was amazed to see how much more loft they had when I put them back on my bed! The gentleman who works there even helped me carry them out to me car, which I thought was really nice. I definitely shouldn't wait so long for the next cleaning. read more

I have been very spoiled over my 70+ years on dry cleaners. We went to one cleaners in Los Altos/ Cupertino called Scotty's when we lived in Los Altos Hills for 40 years. Since we moved to the North Bay to be near our kids' families we found one good dry cleaners on 4th in San Rafael. We have tried Ace in Rohnert Park about half a dozen times and they (Amy and Team) are superb. Everything I ask for is done perfectly. We will return many times. read more

I visited Ace cleaners for the first time and I took two brand new denim jeans and the tailor lady did a fantastic job on tailoring my jeans specifically shortening it and reducing the width of the thigh area I believe they call that the taper, anyway I highly recommend Ace cleaners for your tailoring needs. read more

Amy just completed a major alterations project for my family (10 suits, slacks, etc.) and her work is fantastic. Both my wife and I love Ace cleaners and Amy and Han who operate it. I have to wear a suit and tie everyday and it's great to have friendly folks who know us by name to take care of our dry cleaning needs. I've bought many suits abroad and want to know they they are cleaned gently and will last. Amy also does fantastic alterations. She has altered many of my suits and sport coats as well as dresses for my wife. We buy dresses for her online from Bebe etc and Amy does a great job of custom fitting them. We entrusted Amy with a very special job- cleaning and repairing my vintage Winnie the Pooh stuffed bear that I've had since I was a child. We were amazed that it now looks brand new. I don't know where to start when I think of all the good things about these guys! It starts immediately when you walk in the door. You are greeted with a smile(genuine) and an authentic appreciation for you coming into their doors. When it comes to dry cleaning you think simple...drop off my clothing, get a ticket and get it back clean. My past experiences has not been so simple with other dry cleaners, often wondering if they even washed my shirts and went straight to the press, wondering why if my ticket says 8 shirts why I only received 6 of them back, with two of those not being my shirts at all, or if they would even have my order done when promised. This place is different, it is a family owned and run business where they truly care about you, the customer! Not only do I get back everything i drop off(without my ticket), but it is clean every time, and they go the extra mile at no extra charge. Example, I lost a button on one of my dress shirts and realized that they had noticed this and replaced it for me without even mentioning it. They agree to any and every demand you need. Aimee is Han's wife and is amazing with alterations, clothing restoration, helping run the business, as well as raising their beautiful children which make the occassional appearance at the establishment. In a world of distrust, dishonest, and a lack of integrity....you will find that Ace embraces these qualities, and live them. Extremely affordable prices for dry cleaning and it was ready to pick up the next day.

I am sure the work is good but it cost over $50 to clean 7 regular dress shirts and one pair of slacks. My cleaners in Novato does an incredible job and I pay less than $20 for the same work, both next day. Happy with the service, but definitely shocked by the price when I paid $30 more than I am used to paying. Thought I would save time and a drive to Marin. The convenience has cost me for going local. read more

I went to Ace Cleaners for the first time on the referral of a friend. We are 4 days from Prom and Amy said she would hem the dress. When we got there she was attentive, so knowledgeable and happy for 5:15pm after a long day I am sure. After she made adjustments to the dress that the dress already had (but we hadn't taken the time to really work with the dress at home) she got it to where it didn't need to be hemmed. I've been coming here for 3 years now, and I have never been disappointed. In fact I recommend my coworkers all the time. They go out of their way to make the customer happy. For example, my daughter needed a dress altered for the next day. The ladies that normally do alterations were on Thanksgiving vacation, but another employee offered to fix the dress. I went to this cleaners because of the positive review. I won't go back. They ruined a white Halston gown beyond repair. I brought it in with a small spot on the front of the gown. I specifically asked them when dropping it off if they used separate equipment for whites. They said yes. Whether they did or didn't do that, three things happened. One, the gown came back a sort of silver/blue color. She had the nerve to ask if I was sure it was white in the first place! Two, the small droplet spot on the front now was a visible spot about the size of a small tangerine. Three, there was a NEW spot on the back of the dress. And lastly, the fabric was "crushed" which if you have made of fine fabric you'll know what I mean. They offered to "fix" it, but there was no way I was going to leave them a dress they'd not only already ruined but didn't have the attention to detail to notice that it had more spots when they gave it back to me then when I dropped it off. Horrible, unprofessional. I was blown away. Not in a good way obviously. From now on I will stick to Penninou. They're the only ones who truly know how to work with designer clothes. read more
