I began communicating via online form and automated (so I thought) text messages. I got some swift replies and found out that I was directly communicating with a person and not a bot. Nohely called and was very detailed in the process of what to expect for introductory steps. I then met with Dr. Sandhya to have the initial consult and explanations. She was/is very patient in explaining and also any follow up questions spurred by the initial explanation. Finally, the day came for the in office visit. Well, I had explained that I hate dentists and dentist offices; with this exception and that would later be confirmed that Dental Studio's staff is different; in a great way. Thissssss is where I met Renata and Dr. Robert. Took x-rays and got the consult. I ended up needing gum therapy. I guess I needed 3 yrs ago but they didnt explain what and why they were stabbing me all in my mouth and bleeding me like they were doing. Hence my dislike of dentists and dental offices. Renata and Dr. Robert explained what to expect, listened to me say what I would need and then made it happen to put my mind at ease as best as possible. I appreciate their personal care and touch with the professionalism displayed because had I not gotten some of that old school medical but personal care, I wouldnt be a customer to become a longtime patient (which is the goal now as things get addressed and I turn attention to additional care/items). I didnt meet the other assistants but I know Renata is the bomb. From the reception/intake process to the consult to the sit in the chair and get your mind right and then the procedure, I would recommend you check out Dental Studio. They're on point and ahead of the game with some new school technology applications yet keeping the old school "this is not a factory with a conveyor belt of patients" type of medical approach.

This is a great little dental office located near Hwy 121 and I-35, making it really convenient for me. The office staff and dentists are very accommodating and can usually work with my schedule. I think this place has been open for a few years now, but it still seems nice and new. The inside has that relaxing, almost spa-like feel. Whenever I'm back in the metroplex area, I try to get my dental work done here!

I texted AND called ahead to make sure they would transfer any photos and x-rays already taken by my dentist (so they wouldn't try to charge or anything). What happens? I get there and they throw me into the x-ray without informing me what I am doing. Secondly, this guy spends less than 10 minutes looking at my gums (doesn't even use/refer to those x-rays btw) all to give me about a $15k price tag after this brief consult. Next, as the technician who clearly didn't know what she was doing asks me what my budget is? Before any other conversation - what's your budget. THIS PLACE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS. IT IS A MONEY GRAB. Do not waste your gas or time coming here. I promise you will find cheaper options anywhere else. As the tech shows me the cost of everything needed, I literally start crying out of frustration - as I feel I am trying to be taken advantage of. I'm crying. In the office. And no one flinched. I repeat, this place doesn't care about you. Last thing I will say here is that when they gave me the pricing - they decided for me that I would pay for IV sedation (the expensive one) as opposed to a local anesthesia. So essentially me, the client, am the one who has to ASK about the other sedation options. They were not given to me or explained. Screw this place and I will never ever ever ever refer to anyone. Root Canal: Anxious no more after 10+ years! I didn't feel a thing…read more I have had severe anxiety going to the dentist since I was a child due to a traumatic experience. Today was a huge step getting a root canal procedure done for the first time in years. Got one done as a child and have been terrified ever since. I even started to tear up at the office. After my procedure not only have I been freed of anxiety, but now I am more confident going to get the rest of my procedures done. Dr. Oh and dental assistant Daniel were fantastic, very quick and through. Daniel made me feel at ease as he explained the procedure. He mentioned it was the easiest procedure to do and that Dr. Oh has had years of experience. I didn't feel a thing (not even the numbing needle). I thank God for everyone there and to finally be healed from this trauma after many years. May God bless this practice with abundance for years to come!

The support staff is wonderful. From the front desk to the dental hygienists, everyone has been incredibly kind and professional. I really appreciated that the hygienists were sensitive to my comfort levels and asked thoughtful questions throughout the cleaning to make sure I was doing okay. They definitely earn five stars for their patient care. My experience with the dentist herself has been a little different. Before moving to Texas, I had a dentist who was very personable and listened to my concerns. In contrast, this dentist feels a bit more rushed. Maybe because it was a Saturday? I noticed she tends to speak over me, and while she's trying to maintain a professional demeanor, you can tell she's on a strict time crunch. It's hard to feel fully heard when it feels like the clock is the top priority. For now, I'll likely stay with this practice primarily for the convenience. It's a lot of legwork to find a new provider and transfer records, so as long as the work is competent, I'm staying put. However, if any major issues arise, I'll probably take that as my cue to look for a place that feels like a better personal fit.

Beware of This Dental Office - They Overcharge Patients…read more I strongly advise against trusting this place--they will find ways to make you pay more than you should. I visited IO Dentistry for a chipped tooth and was advised to get a crown. I agreed, but that's when the nightmare began. During my initial visit, I was told my copay for the crown would be $431.25, which I paid in full. The procedure was done, and I was given a temporary crown while waiting for the permanent one. When I returned to have the permanent crown placed, I was suddenly informed by the finance representative, Melissa, that there was a "mix-up" and that my insurance covered less than expected. She demanded an additional $223.50 before they would proceed. Frustrated but feeling trapped, I paid it--I was stuck with a temporary crown and had no choice. The next day, I contacted my insurance provider to understand why I had to pay more than originally quoted. To my shock, they told me that my maximum out-of-pocket cost for this procedure should have been $300.00--the amount pre-approved under their in-network pricing. They advised me to file a grievance and confront the dental office. When I returned with documentation from my insurance, Melissa acted clueless and stumbled over her words, as if she never expected me to verify the charges. After some back and forth--and only after I mentioned getting an attorney--she finally refunded $200.00 to my card. However, I was still overcharged by $150.00 beyond my approved copay. At that point, I decided to cut my losses just to be done with the ordeal. It's a shame because Dr. Nguyen was great--kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Unfortunately, the unethical billing practices of this office make it impossible for me to trust them again. If you choose to go to IO Dentistry, I strongly urge you to verify all costs with your insurance BEFORE making any payments. Melissa has done this to other patients, and there's no telling how many people have unknowingly overpaid. Don't fall for it!
