I loved the dentist Dr Patel but the front staff and dental hygienist were horrible. The front desk clerk came to talk to me about my cleaning. The original quote was $890. I go to the dentist regularly and have no issues with bleeding gums or excessive tarter. They tell me they can remove the laser cleaning and get the cost down to $166but they refuse to do a normal cleaning that is covered by my insurance. They said there is bone loss and I need this deep scale cleaning. I am told this by first the front desk clerk, who I am pretty sure doesn't have a medical degree. She tells my dentist for the last 15 yrs should not have performed those regular cleanings that it is malpractice based on their findings. Again I have no infections, no bleeding gums, or abscesses no excessive tarter buildup. It was insane. I refused their upscale dental cleaning and went to a dentist who did the cleaning. They like my previous dentist did not see any issues with my gums and completed the cleaning without issue. These people are scammers. I will be watching for the dental claim to see if they charge my insurance. I will not be going back there.

Dr. Parthiv Mehta is a con-man and a crook. Please, I beg you to go look at all the 1 star reviews…read morethey try and hide. They also dispute almost all the 1-star reviews as you must have the wrong office, never a patient there, even though they have receipts. The reason you see so many 5-star reviews is on your first visit they are overly nice and then begging you for a 5-star review before you leave the building (don't believe me look for yourself). That is the trap then on following visits is when they start to show their authentic selves screwing you over at every turn. Charm Dental is a perfect name, they charm you, then try to charm all the money out of your bank account. His fake smile is a character, when I was there, he was having a staff meeting and I walked around the corner and he was speaking to them like dogs, which you can see in their faces walking around on eggshells not to set off his rage. We paid 3,600 dollars for 3 hours of anesthesia and were told it was from when my son went under until he woke up. That was a lie they added 2.5 hours to his time by including when the vendor they used showed up and then left. We were not even in the office for 5.5 hours so how could my child be under that long? His work was awful, and we had to keep going back to fix it, so we went to another dentist and paid them $500 dollars to fix Dr. Mehtas' mistakes. We had disputed the amount billed and my wife and I were invited by Dr. Mehta to finalize the bill and come to an agreement (see photo below). Little did we know we were walking into an ambush by a very evil man. I came in good faith to get to the bottom of this, he shuts the door and then begins attacking my wife and I out of nowhere. His fake smile turned into rage as he accused me of being a horrible human, and my wife as an awful mother, which is very bizarre because he does not even know us. He then gets mad that we have great dental insurance which is great for us but not as good for him. He prefers cash pay so he can take advantage of the poor people coming in that have no idea he is about to rob them. Many of the reviews state his dad that was a dentist and treated his patients the same way. One of the most bizarre things in his office is he pulls out his phone and shows us a video of his son with a busted forehead that needed stitches. One it is strange he showed us and filmed it but tells us he made his son do it without pain medication. What type of monster does that to his child and films it, then shows it to people he is yelling at to prove he is some kind of tough guy. This is the same monster that wants to torture his patients and staff. Do yourself a HUGE favor read this and do your own research going over real reviews. I have also made a formal complaint to the Texas Medical Review Board for their investigation. This corruption must be exposed, before he is allowed to keep hurting more people under the guise as a doctor.

I was like dude it's 3 am, you just woke up..normally people are red when they first wake up. I didn't see the swelling at first. Even if I didn't see it at first. He's very in tune with his body and knows it best. We started calling emergency dentists about 6 am. Husband just pretty much walked into this place and they took him right away. Our son has had a tooth abscess before and it moved to under his eye, which could be deadly if the drainage went to his brain. Husband was rightfully paranoid and just wanted to know if it needed to be taken care of ASAP or would he be okay until he gets back to DFW. Long story short. Dr Huynh gave him pain meds and antibiotics. Told him he needed the tooth out soon or retreat of root canal, but nothing immediate. I appreciate the office getting him in quick and Dr reassuring him.

I asked why, and they said that insurance didn't cover the second set of x-rays that Dr. Mehta had ordered. I said "we won't be doing anything that insurance does not cover." The office manager said that she would have to clear that with her supervisor but that I would still have a co-pay of $30 for the periodontal cleaning. This was not what I had been informed in my past sessions, I had been told specifically that my cleanings were covered by insurance so I said "no, we will only be doing what is covered by insurance." Again, she said she would have to clear it with her supervisor. I didn't have time to wait, so I asked her to call me back after she had spoken with them. An hour and half later, I called back because I had not heard from them. The supervisor and I went round and round as she kept stating that I had to have this particular type of cleaning that would cost me more and I said "no, only what insurance covers." Finally I got fed up and told them to cancel my appointment and my daughter's and then I left a review on google venting my frustration at how I had been pressured a second time to spend more money than I could afford. I blocked the number of the Katy location. Two weeks later, the same supervisor called me from the Sugarland/Richmond location. She told me that the doctor reviewed my records and wanted her to call me, I responded "even though I cancelled my appointments and asked you not to contact me again?" She said yes. I stated very firmly, "Do not contact me again, this is harassment." So now I have blocked the Sugarland/Richmond number. This morning I woke up to a fake review of my business on google and facebook by none other than Dr. Parthiv Mehta's father, Nishith Mehta. I have never met this man, I have never done any work for him. This is beyond reproach. And I'm not the only person who has this specific complaint, Nishith Mehta has gone after other customers who have complained about their treatment at this location.

Dr. Anh Pham is quick and efficient and doesn't make any awkward small talk with her hand in your mouth. I'm usually in and out in a timely manner. I will say it's a bit chilly in there, so bring a sweater or something. They really churn and burn at this place. It doesn't seem like the doctor's get a break. There's really no time for personal service, but I mean, it's a dentist, I'm not looking for a bestie. That's the only reason I'd really knock a star off. That and value. Teeth are expensive. =/
