I am still in shock at what happened to my beautiful vintage Panasonic clock/radio (the one featured in No Country for Old Men)! It was working fine when I brought it in - all it needed was a lightbulb replacement. After giving them a deposit, I waited 5 months (after countless phone calls) to get it back, only to be told the bulb couldn't be replaced. Meanwhile, the "technician" had taken it apart and put it "back together". It is totally ruined. It was returned to me with a clock that now doesn't work; a selector that is sticking up and not put back in the correct position; and a still dim lightbulb. I am beyond upset and am only writing this to prevent the same thing from happening to you. read more

Biggest scam this place is!!!! On their website it states FREE ESTIMATE WITH REPAIR! no where does it say a non refundable $40 will be charge to check the TV and will give an estimate what if it cost $500 to fix might as well get a new tv. I was directed to this store to fix my old flat screen which had issues displaying video when turning on. I called ahead and took my tv in. It's not far off the 2 freeway, and there is street parking. They fixed my tv and I've waited a few weeks to make sure it didn't break again before leaving a review. I'm really stoked not to have to trash the tv and buy a new one. Plus now I can cross one thing off the "Things that really really annoy me but I'm living with it" list. Very unfair business practices going on here. There website says free estimate with repair. I arrived to have my VCR repaired. I asked about the free estimate and was told to pay $40 cash or check and that would also go towards the repair??? What?? Where is the free estimate??? Don't I get a chance to decide if it's worth the cost to repair?? Hell no they scam you out of $40 and then expect to pay more than the actual unit is worth. When I refused to get my VCR repaired I asked the woman since you scammed me out of $40 what is the problem with the VCR? All she could say in broken English was gears. This lady is hard to understand, and atleast least tell me what's wrong with the VCR I paid for that, remember it's not free like your website says. Never do business with them. Worst place ever. Never got a call about my receiver whether was ready for pick up or was it working or not. They charge me 30 bucks just to tell me that it was going to cost me $150 to fix it. I told them I wasn't interested on fix in it and they'll call me back to pick it up because it was put apart. It's been a mont and still no call back. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE TO FIX YOUR ELECTRONICS. Very lazy. Spoke to an Asian woman who barely knew English about doing a 2 minute soldering job on a circuit board. Refused to do it, wouldn't even let me speak to the ACTUAL technician. Terrible customer service. I won't be returning there ever. read more

I was disappointed with my newly bought Yamaha CD player (less than 2 months) but when I took my CD player to this repair center without any hassle and problem they fixed it for me.I mean they completely changed the part with a new one.now its working perfect and flawless. Very shady. Website says open at 9am but they actually open at 10am. Had to wait an hour. Looks like they live in the back. Took my Yamaha (per Yamaha's recommendation) to replace HDMI board. Just got it back and unit only says "Internal Error". They didn't even check to see if it works. I have informed Yamaha of their incompetence as well. read more

Our six year old Mitsubishi LED TV stopped working last November. We sat there, staring into the black emptiness for months before we finally had time to do something about it. Mitsubishi referred us to Ace, and we called and got a repairman to come to our house within the week. They took our TV back to the shop and gave us an estimate within days. The motherboard on the TV needed to be replaced and while it wasn't going to be cheap, it was still cheaper than a new TV. We hemmed and hawed for a while, but Suzie at the shop was patient and professional with our process. We finally went ahead with the repair, and it was done within 10 days, and the TV delivered back into our home. It works great, and we do not regret our choice at all! The crew here is friendly and professional, Suzie is terrific, and our TV is in tip-top shape. I highly recommend these guys! read more

I'm updating my 2/5/16 review of Ace TV repair. I had two problems with my Yamaha rxv2300 receiver. It's about 14 years old but sounded great in its prime. It had a humming sound and it would randomly turn off. They 'fixed' the problems and I took it home. The humming is definitely gone and not returning. The random shut-off started again after about four days. I returned it and they looked at it again. Here is where the problem arose. They didn't tell me what they had done to fix the random turn off. I shrugged and took it home, hoping all was well. It started shutting off again randomly. This time much sooner than four days. I returned to Ace TV repair. Suzy was noticeably frustrated but, always the professional, she said the tech would take a look at it. Well, I waited (all three times were roughly two weeks) and she called me back. She gave me some advice about connecting speakers to the A and B channels but it wasn't clear how this was related to the random shut-off. She also asked if I was placing the stereo in an enclosure that would cause too much heat (I wasn't). I couldn't get a clear answer about what they had fixed but she insisted the receiver was ready to go. I brought it home and I'm experiencing the same random shut-off problem. I'm going to return it and ask for half of my money back because they were very professional about the whole process. They fixed the humming sound and the stereo was sounding great. The price was under 200$ to fix the old stereo so I thought it was worth the gamble. I would return to them with an electronics problem but I suggest one major improvement in the way they do business. 1. When old electronics are fixed write up a clearly stated receipt/work statement that explains what the problem was and how it was fixed. I never got this. Probably because it takes a bit more time and energy to do this as a business practice and they're a small neighborhood company. I think it would serve them and their customer base if they did this. read more

I took my Mitsubishi TV last Thursday due to white spots in the monitor. I called first and they gave me an estimate. Brought the unit the same day. I left the unit for checking and they called and told me how to go with it with the cost. I accepted the estimate .They just called me today (7/20) and told me that it was fixed already. I am using now my TV without worries. They gave me a 90 days warranty . I find it assuring to me to have still these type of services within Los Angeles. Thank you. read more

I brought in my 55'' Samsung with bad power supply. Great customer service called me the day after gave me a price to fix. As soon as my TV was ready they called me to pick up.
