Really awesome place to live all the staff Is amazing and helpful maintenance is always on top of everything

I lived at Acero and Cooley Station from 2021 to 2023, the first two years were good but there was a change in management and ruined my experience here. This is the first apartment complex where I did not get my full security deposit back, despite leaving the unit in excellent condition. They falsely claimed that my carpet was full of pee, which is a blatant lie since my dogs are potty trained and have never had an accident inside. Additionally, they accused me of breaking the stove, resulting in a $700 replacement fee. The only thing they excel at is taking your money. During my stay, management changed multiple times, each worse than the last. I had several times where the roof filled with water and would flood into my bathroom and maintenance would have to fix it but each time it was just a temporary fix. I was also wrongly charged for lapses in renters insurance due to their faulty email system, despite my insurance never actually lapsing. They claimed my address was not updated, which was not true. The office staff are rude, condescending, and utterly unhelpful. In summary, I would strongly advise against renting here. Save yourself the trouble and find a place that values its residents and maintains a decent living environment. Glad to have moved on to a better place. read more

Ok here we go Acero, we wanted to love living here but we didn't. And if you want to hear why get some popcorn because this is going to be a long one. We lived at Acero 2021-2022 and all I want to say is that we counted the days to move out. We have never wanted to leave an apartment so bad. If I could give this apartment zero starts I would. There must be something suspicious going on with whatever company owns the property, because in the year that we were there, the management team switched out 3 different times. It was always a strange surprise to see random new faces working in the front office when passing by. But that still doesn't say anything about the community itself. So let's get into it. First of all you can hear everything. All your neigbors. I heard neigbors having sex in the other apartment which I didn't love to hear. We lived right in front of the pool and I could never have my windows open at night because it is always a party, people bring their speakers and play loud music at 12am, or leave the community TVs on high volume, but yet we were getting complaints that it was loud in my apartment at night from 10pm to 6am (We sleep at that time and there could never be noise because we have little children that sleep on schedule) The Managment would just send us a legal notice of being loud for no reason and yet when I would go talk to them and try to decide what can be done about this they would just say "I don't know." If you have kids you should avoid this place. They are not kid friendly at all. One evening at 7pm my child was just talking to his friend from our balcony and the security guard was passing by and said "hey keep it quiet" what? He was just talking, yet they don't do anything about loud music at 12am at night that last all night long and people being loud. But my child "speaks too loud" at 7pm. That's just ridiculous. This is not to say that having a guard on patrol is a regular occurrence, oh no. After this, and a few days later, the patrol mysteriously disappeared and we didn't see another one around till 5 months later. The "community building" events that they throw for residents are a joke, and nobody shows up ever because nobody wants to be there, that's just a joke. One thing I can say though, is that I've definitely gotten my cricket catching skills up to quite an impressive level now. No matter what side of the property, or what floor you live on, you can expect to have some chirping guests visit you a few times a week. And forget about your deposit because they will take all your money. They wanted to charge us an extra $800 for "wear and tear" and our initial deposit was $500 already so our move out cost would be $1300 which is just crazy. We had to fight it over with them and keep sending emails. Eventually they lowered the extra charge BUT still charged us and as I said of course forget about your deposit here. Mind you every other apartment that we've lived at returned our full deposit, so that says something about Acero. All they want is your money. I would say stay away, keep your money and your sanity. And I will go relax at my new community that I love so much more. read more

Don't do it! I was given my move in paperwork 20 days in advance in my portal. The day I sign my paperwork I'm again assured by Cameron that my 2nd month is Free for the special they had. This concession was shown on the Security deposit paperwork as well. I sign the documents then BOOM the paperwork was changed and I now have to pay for the month. Even though I provided the original paperwork showing the 1 month free "there is nothing they can do" "they made a mistake" "we can extend your lease longer to make up for it" even though I said Im moving out of state at the end of this term. The worst part is they didn't bother to communicate the change with me until the 3rd which is already past the due date. Even the district manager said there's nothing they can do. To top that off my first time in the complex after signing I asked where the mailboxes and gym were. Instead of showing me around they pointed...from their chair.... Ive been here a week and the pool has been closed the entire time - through the Labor Day Holiday... The "Dog Park" is tiny and covered in poop, literally everywhere and does not get cleaned at all. This place is a joke and has poor staff and management. Highly don't recommend. read more

I'm very surprised with the customer service. I was supposed to get a virtual tour today at noon. I got stood up by the associate who was going to call me. I called again around 230 pm only to find out I wasn't on the schedule at all. I made a 2nd appointment at 400 pm only to get stood up again. As it turns out I was not on the schedule for 4:00pm either. This is not acceptable or professional customer service. I like this complex, it's very nice. Or at least it appears to be. Fantastic Luxury Apartment Living in Gilbert, AZ Where do I start? My wife and I recently sold our home and had to look for a place to live for the next 6 months because we were in the process of building a new home. We have not rented in over 12 years and had to consider looking at living in an apartment community. I had already met with another apartment community and put down a $250 non-refundable deposit because I was set on a property that we liked. On my way home, I drove by Acero Cooley Station Apartments and I decided to stop by because the cleanliness and curb appeal immediately caught my attention. My wife and I were greeted by the apartment manager, Angelica and let's just say that she had us at Hello!!!!! Angelica was EXTREMELY helpful, full of SMILES and answered ALL our questions. We followed up and met with Reggie who was VERY welcoming, informative, and discussed our options with us. We decided to sign a lease with Acero and yes that meant losing my $250 deposit with the other apartment community, but it was well worth it and we'd do it again if we had the chance to. We have lived at Acero coming up on six months and to this day the community doesn't stop surprising us in a good way. As for the perks, WOW, where do I begin...SUPER CLEAN property, grills cleaned every week, sidewalks power washed each week, fun filled events at the clubhouse hosted by property management, AMAZING Pool and Jacuzzi, landscaping upkeep, easy to use online tools to schedule maintenance tickets, pay your monthly rent and utility bills and the list goes on. We are EXTREMELY impressed with how well Angelica and Reggie have made this a home living lifestyle experience for my family and that's VERY important to me because we have 2 teenagers who get bored very easily BUT not while living here. Their favorite part of the community is the Ping Pong and Decaf Coffee that is FREE to all residents. YUP FREE....AMAZING.....I personally LOVE the GYM and it's AMAZING as well..... The maintenance crew is ALL AMAZING here as well and that's thanks to Angelica and Reggie for staying on top of things. I have referred friends to this property and will continue to do so. We plan on moving out at the end of September and have already put Angelica and Reggie on our home welcoming invite because we LOVE them that much!!!!! Not once have I felt like I lived in an apartment complex. This experience has felt like home the entire time and it would be our permanent home if we were not building. The amount of effort and care this management provides to possible future tenants is absolutely amazing. I am considering Arizona as a possible new home and was nervous about the service in a new state. Right as I arrived Reggie greeted me, offered me water, and made sure I was very informed about everything they offer. He even gave me information on what it's like in Arizona that was so helpful to me in my decision making overall. To top it all off we see this amazing decoration in their fridge by the woman who helped me set up my tour, Anjelica. I was so impressed by how much they really make sure anyone moving knows they are moving into a community and has management that really cares and shows love! If I don't end up picking the apartment I viewed it would have nothing to do with the community or management or apartment itself, only preference of a different kind of layout that fits my personal decor style. Unfortunately our stay her wasn't great my family stayed here for 2 years. The beginning was amazing the office staff we're really nice and welcoming. That all changed when new management went into place. Your typical front desk people with an attitude, they made you fell like calling was a nuisance.... The pool was okay, it was closed a lot for maintenance and one instance there was a dead rat In the filter (due to an open field right behind the apartments) the gym was also okay but people treated it like a private gym and seem to be using all the machines at once. My husband's truck got broken into twice... there " over night security" was a joke and didn't seem to do much, only time I saw they they were on there phoneS. The only thing I'd give 5 stars for were the maintenance team, if you had an issue they would come within 24 hours or even sooner, they were all very nice! To bad the last year and a half was dampened by crappy front office staff. read more

Let me start off by saying this review is due to a poor experience of the initial process and that I do not live in the complex. The pictures look decent and so I reached out several times via email. I received a voicemail and ended up calling back a few days later. I was told by the person who answered that he would pass my name on to someone who could assist me. 8 hours later and I was still waiting so I called and finally got someone and ended up setting a virtual tour up for the next day. I was told that he would be calling me and then sending me the link. I received no call or link the next day. I did think about reaching back out because this was my first choice (I am not from the area) but feel like it has been such a poor experience and if they are willing to treat a potential resident this poorly, how will they treat me when I am a resident? Very disappointed in this experience. read more

My wife and I just moved in from out of state. Troy, Reggie and Angelica have all been very helpful, polite and responsive to all of our calls and emails. They really made the move stress free and easy! The complex is new and clean. It's located just far enough from the local shopping areas that you don't deal with the traffic, but close enough that it's just a couple minutes away. The price for the square footage is also great! Highly recommend Acero before they run out of rooms! read more

My Wife and I just moved in a week ago and I can't tell you how much both Troy and Reggie have been in getting us all setup. Every question or request I had they responded back right away. All I can say is I can't be happier! Angelique, Troy, Reggie are great! Frequently doing nice things for residents. Location is good, very convenient for us to work and everything, quiet spot, beautiful neighborhood. Buildings are amazingly sound proof which I find surprising. Bathroom fans are so quiet you can barely hear them (I know, strange thing to notice). Decor is beautiful. So far my neighbors have been very nice. I like you have your own water meter so you pay only for your usage. If I had one "nah" it would be I wish the refrigerator was larger but my room mate and I both love to cook so we are constantly buying more than I think the average person would. So far, so good! Agent talks about how beautiful and great this place is to live, all the amenities. What they leave out is all the RULES. You can't LIVE here. I am counting the days to move OUT! Also, every single appliance in this apt is junk. The dishwasher doesn't clean, leave everything wet, so obviously the heating element doesn't work, the washing machine is always out of balance, doesn't rinse unless you select 3 rinse cycles, forget about using fabric softener as it sprays out the sides of the lid. The glass cooktop in my unit was not taken care of previously and is all scratched up and ugly. The disposal takes 20 minutes to grind up an eggshell, forget about putting anything else down there! There are so many bugs, I constantly am requesting they spray. Must be spraying water because nothing changes. Bathroom fans are useless. If you come home and want to get your mail you have to leave out of the complex to come back in to activate the gate. Now the latest they don't want you to back into your parking spot, I mean what next are they going to come up with. Please God, let my lease end SOON!!! Beware if you are considering living here, ask for their small print list of RULES....no one wants to be treated like an infant!!!! Wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy! read more

Been in this place for several months and am disappointed. It is overpriced for the quality of build and what it offers. The kitchen is supposed to have a "stainless steel package" yet it only looks stainless. All the appliances have a very cheapy feel and it's impossible not to notice. THIS CANNOT BE OVERSTATED. Don't put too much in the freezer or it will not make ice. The kitchen cabinet doors don't align well and have loose fitting screws....tighten them up and then the doors don't align. The washer and dryer are not front-loaders like their other locations have and the washer is so bad it literally chews up your clothes. I use a garment bag for literally every shirt. The sound proofing is such you can easily hear every time your upstairs neighbor flushes their toilet....lovely. Pest control is seen but doesn't seem to work, lots of bugs everywhere. The flooring LOOKS nice but is really cheap, scratches easily and comes up from its anchoring. Management is not very responsive which is really frustrating. The two best things about this place are the layout of the unit which has an open feel and the maintenance guy who is awesome. Too bad this place went cheap instead of aiming to be a true competitor of Liv, which is just a few miles north. Check out Liv as chances are you'll like it much more than Acero. This could have been better. It should have been better. I expected it to be better. It's not. Disappointed is an understatement. read more
