It's an amazing place to spend time with family and friends. The staff is great and works hard to make the park a great experience.

Aces High RV Park A wonderful and relaxing campground with wide drive through full hook up sites and some back in sites along the waterfront. The sites are well treed without them being obstacles to larger RV's. Hook ups include water, 50&30 Amps service, sewer and cable TV. The grounds are well kept and the pool is newer and clean. Visit the ducks in the front pond. The atmosphere is quiet and family friendly with flat roads for bike riding and walking, a pickle ball court and basketball hoop. Bathrooms are older but well kept with quarter showers. Aces High is conveniently located minutes from Rocky Neck State Park, Mystic, New London, Groton and casinos and all of the fun, restaurants and entertainment. Great for a weekend or a longer stay. read more

Aces high RV park is very nice! Has a nice swimming pool, play area for kids, volleyball court, a fishing pond and the bathrooms/ showers are spotless ..... Camp sites are very clean, with pull through sites and full hook ups..... everyone around is respectful and quiet, and it is pet friendly..... Great place to come to if you're looking to relax and have a fire with a cocktail or 2 ...... Highly recommended aces high!!! read more

There should be negative stars for reviews - DO NOT STAY HERE the owner is dishonest and is scamming people out of their refunds when making TIMELY cancellations. We emailed and called for TWO MONTHS and finally reached out to the Connecticut DCP (dept of consumer protection) with all of the correspondence. Within DAYS of sending this email to the DCP, management reached out and they're miraculously issuing a full refund, which is what should have happened TWO MONTHS ago. UNREAL. I can only imagine how many people they have scammed out of their money! My next step was contacting an attorney! Completely unacceptable! read more

The people running this place are incredibly rude and unorganized, they claim to always be full yet when you drive by they are nearly empty... monthly prices always seem to be different when you call depending on who answers. One time it's $1200 a month, another it's $75 a day, another it's $85. This place isn't nearly as nice as the photos lead you to believe. I'd suggest going somewhere else. Update After Owners Response: Anyone with a little sense can tell by the defensive tone in their response how this place is run. Also, TO whom ever is replying from Aces High, Clearly I didn't stay there, Never said I did and I also never made mention of speaking to the owner. Learn how to provide quality customer service or hire someone who can. Response from the owner - (On Google) Zachary, we do not have any record that you have stayed at our park and it's not likely you spoke to the owners, however, we regret to hear about your negative experience with the staff. Our park offers transient sites, long-term (one month or more) sites, and seasonal sites and although the park may not look full at times, it does not mean that there are several long-term sites available for the timeframe someone inquires about. Our monthly rates do change based on peak months, the length of stay (multiple months is cheaper), amount of people in each camper, amp service needed, size of the RV, and availability, etc. It is common for the staff to give the nightly rate for each 30 days of stay, as well as the monthly rate for people who are interested in the rate breakdown. read more

Nice campground. Clean and large sites. Water quality here was terrible. Asked was told they are on city water. My filter system was totally brown after 2 days. Lots of silt in the water. Wi fi did not work at our site. Asked and employee told me he knew our site did not get wi fi. For the nightly price and advertised wi fi, NO wi fi? It's a nice place. Fairly expensive, WiFi is garbage (goes down all the time and nothing but excuses from the office), they charge you to have guests over, the ATM does not work, they charge $2.00 for washing machine and $1.50 for dryer (all the KOAs I've been to charge $0.50 for the washer and $1.00 for the dryer), they charge you virtually for everything (anything in the game room, which wasn't much), the showers cost $0.25 to use. Oh and keep in mind, if you have AT&T or T-Mobile (not sure about Verizon or Sprint), you will barley have 1 bar and will be lucky to have 4G some of the time, so without WiFi, you will miss a lot of calls/texts. I also asked for a folio to prove charges for each day of stay for a travel claim (with my business) and they were unable to produce that for me (only had a receipt for the final charge). I'm sorry, handwriting on the receipt that it was $56.00 per day is amateur. I could do the math and figure out the daily charge, but I can't think of a company that would accept that as a method for validating a travel claim. Game room is a complete joke. It's essentially a basement with a few seats and nothing else. There is a nice pavilion, but like I said earlier, the game room is a complete joke. The washer and dryers are around the corner, but $3.50 for one load, what a price gouge! I mean it's completely insane, local laundromats have larger machines for much cheaper. I could do two loads at $2.75 at a laundromat nearby, or pay $1.50 per pound to have them wash and fold my laundry for me. I know I'm going on and on, but nothing is more frustrating than people trying to price gouge you (reminds me of movie theaters). I don't know if I mentioned it yet (I'm being facetious), but the website advertises "Enjoy unlimited high speed INTERNET access, FREE from virtually anywhere in the park" - NOPE!!! Bunch of fake news! Poor signal, drops out all the time and no ownership of the issue. Being a military person, nothing frustrates me more than excuses. Fix the WiFi, or stop lying in the advertisement!!! If you need fast reliable WiFi, go to the McDonalds down the street. The ironic part is I was not able to post this review at the park because the WiFi kept going out... I would rate this place higher (3 1/2 to 4 stars were it not for the WiFi issues and the constant excuses about why it sucks). They were nationally awarded back in 2005, but that was over a decade ago. This campground is owned by criminals. I was there for one week and watched them try to scam two different families by telling them they checked in on dates different than their actual check-in dates and demand that they pay up, or be kicked out. (both were evicted, despite photographic proof of their check-in dates) They do NOT offer receipts when you pay for you stay (further allowing them the ability to scam you out of your paid days in the campground.) cash or check ONLY, allowing little-to-no paper trail, and if you're looking for any way to communicate with the people in the office (which, by the way, is never opened during the hours it SAYS it will be opened) good luck, because they barely speak english. Go to the KOA in Mystic instead, and thank me later. read more

Ok, so I made a mistake and reserved the site for the wrong day. We showed up a day early, on a really busy summer weekend. The owner was so helpful! She could have just turned us away, but instead she made sure we had a place to park! The park itself is very clean and well maintained. There is a fully stocked catch and release pond, a pool, paddle boats and a hiking trail. It's very family friendly and every time we go there, we have great neighbors. We've been to dozens of parks all over the country and this one is, hands down, our favorite. read more

Our plans were for 2 nights. We quickly realized we could not get a satellite signal in site 17 and when we attempted to change sites our motorhome would not start. A service technician didn't arrive until the following morning and once he got us started he said don't turn it off so we packed up and headed to Freight Liner 30 miles away. I thought or hoped that under those circumstances Aces High would be considerate enough to refund our unused night. First I was told probably minus a $20.00 credit card cancelling fee but was later informed that the manager said it refunds were against policy. She did however offer a credit for another night which is of no use to us as we were returning home to NC. We have been on the road from NC to Maine (4 weeks out) and this was the most expensive campground we stayed at including Niagara Falls. Aces High rate $80.00 per night, showers additional! It was nice campground but no nicer then most we stayed at. Lesson learned, when a campground is mostly empty only pay night by night and that this "luxury" campground is a crap shoot! As a side note Freight Liner let us camp for free and even furnished us with water and electricity. read more

It's a small rv park with large clean sites, very quiet, a new inground pool and swimming areas. Not much going on here, and very little trees in the main site area. A little annoyed with the pay per shower, although it's only 25 centsmon a timer. Although I understand the concept of not wasting water and keeping costs down at the park. Clean, quiet campground near mystic, foxwoods, mohegan, and near attractions. Not much going on here for activities, just a very quiet place to bring your rv and keep to yourself. read more

This is a horrible and highly unrecommended place to stay. The lady who owns this business is a wack job. I don't know where she gets the numbers from to charge people but to park your rv/camper on a piece of grass, it is definitely not worth the $1,000 a month. If you don't do a monthly contract, they charge you $300 a week!!! Insane!!! On top of the rate charged for rent, they also charge you electric which is expected. Most of the electric companies charge $0.08-$0.10 per KW. This lady is charging $0.19/KW. THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE OF $50 that you need to pay, on the electric!!!!! The road isn't paved, and the potholes will swallow your tires. I have absolutely nothing pleasant to say about this place or how it is run. read more

Just wanted to let other campers making reservations at Ace's High that there is a $20.00 cancellation fee for cancelling a reservation. We were unaware that there was a charge for cancelling a month before arrival date, or reservation would have never been made. read more
