First time coming to this camping resort for a union work party. We had a separate pavilion area blocked off for all of our entertainment needs but honestly, it's nothing special. It's a camping area with paid amenities. There is a basketball court, mini golf ($), a pool and Jacuzzi, swimming area in the lake with boat rentals ($) an ice cream shop, a camp store and a whole lot of acreage to explore **Work outing experience** We were promised free unlimited mini golf until 5 PM. However, there were many discrepancies with the time. One woman told us that it ended at 2 because the Jimmy fun took over while other coworkers told me it ended at 3. I understand it's a camping area, but if somebody has a paid block of time, it should be accommodated!! We asked our supervisors why this was and they said Odetah changed it last minute on the day of, even though we had paperwork and flyers since the end of July! I guess it really does come down to money at the end of the day!

Came here for a work event and there was plenty to do. Huge swimming pool and splash pad area. Basketball hoops and a huge field. Camp store had lots in it too.

Odetah Camping Resort A family campground with a wide variety of activities and services perfect for the weekend or seasonal camper. Limited sites with full hook ups sites Including water, 50 Amp service and sewer. Other sites have electric and grey water hook ups. All sites have access to free Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth for use on your smart tv and lap top. The pool is newer and very large with an adjacent splash pad. This is the best pool I have found in a Connecticut campground. The atmosphere is family friendly with the aforementioned pool, a social center with indoor and covered outdoor area with ping pong tables, adjacent ice cream stand and miniature golf. Bathrooms are clean with free hot showers. The camp store offers a new coffee shop with reasonably priced coffee and baked goods, perfect for a morning snack. Odetah Camping Resort is conveniently located minutes from Norwich, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos and all of the fun, restaurants and entertainment the local area has to offer. Close to Rhode Island and Stonington there is no end to the possibilities.

Took the grandkids who had a blast and asked to stay longer. They enjoyed fishing, swimming and the arts and crafts.

Camp Passive Aggressive Karens INDEED. I would love to say I enjoyed this campground as a tent…read morerental site for the week, but man do the residents of the camp truly ruin the experience of the crystal clear lake. The week was quiet and nice until the seasonal/regulars came in Thursday night. Next thing you know, the gossip train starts and all the residents watch your every move and call the front office on you if you breath in a way that offends them. I'd understand if I was rowdy and partying, but my sister and I literally were crocheting! Making sweaters we would have an uncle and cousin visit during the day (after they paid their fee to get in) and they made my guests so uncomfortable with the passive aggressive comments The staff are condescending, an old potato of a woman with blonde hair who takes your money coming in gave my PAYING GUEST a hard time coming in and then had the audacity to charge her twice the daily rate! Normal fee is $8, she charged my friend $15. I heard about 14 passive aggressive comments about my happy doofy husky/pitt bull mix (WHO WE PAID TO HAVE HERE) getting judged and glared at just for existing. I would love to say this a cute community who look out for one another, but this group of people are like those vile religious folk who claim to be loving and kind while they shun and shame anyone who may be different or new. I do not recommend this campground AT ALL. Find a nicer place. The annoyance of residents tattling over the dumbest things truly ruins any relaxation you try to have.

Cons: -be prepared to walk, very hilly -Wi-fi only available at office/rec area. -playground has 4 swings and a volleyball net. -very limited area to fish. -seasonal campers very willing to ensure weekend camper is following "their" rules, not so much following the rules themselves (as evident by the unleased dogs that keep comming to my site).

Well this was absolutely the time of year to go to Sun Fox. The kids are going back to school and…read morewe had the place almost to ourselves. It was like a private resort. We swam in the pool which was gorgeous and it was just us most of the time. At one point there was a gentleman and his young son. The pool has a ramp so that it is handicap accessible which really impressed me. There is also beautiful hot tub which has a wheelchair lift. Both very impressive and I have not seen this at other campgrounds. We arrived on Sunday evening and left on Wednesday. When we got there there was a tree in the middle of our designated site that did not allow us to open our slides so we had to get a new site assignment. They easily did that and we were backed up to a brook. It was lovely and the view of the pond was very nice. Unfortunately we also had a view of the back of the main house/office and the area where they worked on equipment. I thought that could've been fenced off. The site itself was raw with dirt and roots so it was rather hazardous and we did not put down our outside rug. I was afraid that we might trip. Also there was trash around the fire ring from the previous tenants and trash around the trees near the brook. Generally I think that was my biggest complaint with this place. The people were very nice and the grounds were nice. The playground was amazing and the variety of playground equipment they had was incredible. The pool and the hot tub or beautiful and I just wish that the sites were cleaned up more and maybe throw down some crushed rock. Definitely on my list of places to return to.

A lot of the campground has been updated although the restrooms could use some work. The pool and hot tub were clean and a nice respite from the hot weather. One caution is that the sites are very tight. We were fortunate in that the site across from us was pretty open when we backed in. With all of that said they are planning on adding additional sites which will hopefully be a bit more spacious. All in all a very nice campground.

Bathrooms were well kept with several different buildings through out the campground, timed showers with very warm water. Two playgrounds , the one by the main office is AMAZING, our kids spent hours playing and having fun. Stocked store, Rec hall, with rentable yard games, weekend activities. Pool. The only complaint I have would be the location of the electrical hook ups for the weekend campsites, compared to the fire pit, I felt as if we needed to move our camper further away and fun the extension cord because I was afraid of the fire being to close. Also the campsite we had was not very level, so we had to use several stabilizers to get one side high enough to level out. I didn't take many pictures because we were busy outside playing, but we really did enjoy our stay. ****Also make sure to be aware of their visitor policy and prices*****

The other car finally got the hint and went around but made it clear they were not happy. Needless to say our arrival was anything but pleasant. We had to dump and drove to the station, the trees were so close together at the 90* degree turn we scraped the side of our Rv. When leaving we dumped again but had to drive into brush to avoid our previous peril. The park was obviously designed for pull behind cracker boxes. Our visit was pleasant with a large space, large fire pit and view of the pond across the road. The entire park is 30 amp and we had to use a pigtail for power. Our guests had to pay $12 each just to enter the park, a rip off in my opinion. Our two day stay was to be $180, but the add on fees brought the total to around 250.00. We have been full timers for over 7 years and have never been charged such add ons in any other park. Final thoughts, after everything I can say we probably will never return to this park. It was pleasant but adding the damage to my rig, our arrival pleasantry and being nickel and dimed to death I should rate this park and visit a "one". When my wife went to check out Monique was very apologetic but she was limited to that.
