The entrance is on the parking lot side, and once you go in there is a waiting room where you can hang out until your appointment. Jay rents out a little room on the left, and he'll come out once he's ready for you. Don't be fooled by his humble studio--he's an excellent piercer and is very careful about sterilization and care. I was super nervous about getting my conch, but Jay was incredibly sweet and professional through the entire process, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. The piercing itself was SO quick and literally painless. I love it and am so happy with the placement we decided on. It's been a long journey since 2022, and here I am in 2025 still going through tattoo removal. I've…read moreheld off on writing this, but I think I'm finally ready to share my experience. I originally went to Mary to get a tattoo of a paper crane with "Mary" worked into the design. I had gotten a small tattoo from her before, and she was super nice and warm -- which is what made me comfortable going back for a bigger piece. When I arrived for this session, she seemed friendly and welcoming at first, but her vibe shifted. She was kind of cold and dismissive once things got going. Looking back, I should've taken that as a red flag to maybe not go through with it, but I brushed it off. I gave her several reference photos and she drew something up. During the session, I chose not to look because I wanted it to be a surprise -- but I was still checking in, asking questions like, "The blues are going to be really light like the photo, right?" Just trying to make sure we were aligned on the look and colors. When it was done and I finally saw it, I was shocked. It didn't look like the reference at all. The lines weren't straight, some looked blown out, and the light blues just looked muddy... and it looked disproportionate. It had none of the delicate, clean feel I'd been going for. It honestly looked like something done by a beginner. I kept telling myself maybe I'd get used to it or it would look better once it healed -- but the more I looked at it, the more I hated it. Within a few weeks, I was already looking into laser removal. The clinic told me I had to wait about two months for the tattoo to fully heal before starting, and I did. Then I began my removal journey, which I'm still going through today. It's been tough, but the tattoo has faded a lot, and I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I think I paid around $220, including a drawing fee. One of my best friends is a tattoo artist, and he once told me something I'll never forget: "Good tattoos ain't cheap, and cheap tattoos ain't good." That definitely hit home for me after all this. Just sharing my story -- along with my reference photos, Mary's drawing of what she will be tattooing, what she actually tattooed, and the progress from my laser sessions -- in hopes it helps someone else avoid the same experience.

Girl is QUICK at her craft! The price was incredibly fair for the beautiful work. It's been 3.5 years and the tattoo still looks good as new! I had messaged her about the intent of my tattoo and she put her own spin on it and offered suggestions of placement. She was gentle and it was not very painful as she does not heavy handed. The studio is nice and clean. Kat made me feel comfortable and asked me a few questions. She made this experience nice. She even gave me a limited time goodie bag with all the aftercare products I'd need. She also stands by her work and if your tattoo fades, she will offer a free of charge touch up. In fact, I just scheduled an appointment to do a little bit of touch up in a month once my tattoo heals. I saw Nhi's artwork on Instagram, while looking around for a fine line tattoo artist. Her work…read morethoroughly caught my attention because it has such detail and whimsy. I had an idea for an anklet tattoo I was considering; I wear an anklet normally and it kept catching on my sneakers at times...very annoying, so I figured why not have my lucky anklet charm permanently on me. Nhi is very responsive via direct messaging on IG, and I had my appointment easily booked for 2 months out. We chatted for a while about what I wanted, but I still wasn't sure about the exact design at the same time. She said she'll design one with her own twist and my criteria. An estimate of the cost (very reasonable) was given based upon the custom criteria. A deposit from me was needed to make an appointment (as expected with most custom products and services in general). About a week before my appointment, she sent me a draft; I had some changes I wanted to make to that draft, and she was very accommodating. On the day of my appointment, I was a little confused about the address of her studio; the entrance was 2 glass doors with an elevator visible through the glass, next to Aota House Vietnamese Restaurant. The doors were locked, but Nhi came down to open the doors, and up the elevator we went. The offices were quiet and quite a few other tattoo artists worked there as well. There are restrooms right around the corner from the studio, which were very clean. As for the studio itself, it was very cozy and clean, with a comfortable work area and good lighting. When putting the stencil on, Nhi was very patient and we made additional adjustments on placement. I think my soul died a little bit during the session, because I got an ankle tattoo; the ankle is a very sensitive area for me apparently. She was very precise and light-handed with all her strokes, which made the session go much quicker than I expected. Hilariously, we just kept apologizing to each other back and forth over the pain I felt, but it's what I wanted. Nhi made the experience the best it could've been, given my choice of tattoo placement. She has a rabbit plushie in the studio and allowed me to use that as sort of a stress ball. That poor rabbit had its ears gripped ridiculously tight during my session. An hour and a half went by very quickly, and I was a tired, yet very happy customer. For my tattoo post care, she gave a little care package with a cleaning solution and lotion (that I am still using) to keep my tattoo moisturized. It also came with a beautiful soft bandana with her logo; I'm putting that up on my wall because of how pretty it is! Final Thoughts: If you're looking for a super talented, friendly and steady handed tattoo artist, Nhi is the one to get a tattoo from! Thank you so much, Nhi!
