My apologies for the long review but very good professionalism should be recognized. Our relaxing Memorial Day afternoon suddenly got a little crazy when we heard some loud cracking and popping in the front yard. Thankfully no serious damage occurred other than a large tree branch crashing down onto the front lawn due to gusty winds. A quick Yelp review helped me find Rays Tree Service. It's no wonder so many others have rated Acevedo's Tree Service stars! Ray was at my house within 30 minutes to review the project and provide a very competitive quote for the job. We actually decided on additional work to trim and prune the entire tree. Ray came back the very next morning, a half hour earlier than expected to begin the work. I stayed home to watch the entire job. It was cool to watch him study the job and explain the game plan to his assistant. He was very careful around the neighbors property and especially the surrounding telephone pole wires while getting his aerial lift high into the tree. After cutting was completed, all the debris was placed into the wood chipper. Final raking and leaf blowing cleaned up the area nicely. Ray has cleaned up my Queen palms twice now, and each time he has been extremely fast in setting up and scheduling the work. He's the only one I know that uses climbing ropes to get into the trees to clean it up, meaning there are no marks left on the trunk from climbing spikes. I was looking for a tree service that could cut down an orange tree bearing fruit, pear tree that seems to have been on it's last leg and about a 10ft stump of what I believe was a honey suckle tree. In addition all 3 need to have the stumps ground down as well. I sent out a request through Yelp and Ray was one of the first people to reach out to me on a Saturday. We arranged for him to come by my house I believe on a Sunday to provide an in person estimate. He should up within the timeframe we had agreed upon and was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and the possibility of one of the stumps not being able to be ground down, but it would be a situation that we would assess once we began the process. Ray and his team came today, Wednesday 10/18, and as he said he would show up in the morning and hopefully be done in the afternoon. He arrived prior to 9am and by the time I returned 15mins later the orange tree was completely cut down and the branches were in the driveway ready to be shredded. That was quick! Anyhow, they continued to cut down the remaining two trees and shred the debris. I had to leave and they left to get their stump grinder and upon my return a few hours I couldn't be happier. The orange tree as I had mentioned is fruit bearing, I wasn't sure if he was going to be able to pick up all the oranges that fell on the ground and to my surprise my backyard was much cleaner than it was before Ray and his team got there. I was so happy. I wanted to recommend Ray and his team as he has awesome communication via Yelp, Text, or even by phone. I find that many services struggle in that department at times, and it was much appreciated. He is very respectful of your yard and the neighbor's yard (if the tree is big, limbs will likely fall into the neighbor's yard...gravity after all). Neighbor was being rude to Ray accusing him of leaving "a few twigs" in the yard. I know this was not true because I checked neighbor's yard both the night before and immediately after Ray's crew left. He left it in exactly the same condition it was the night before. He took the accusation in stride in a mellow way and did not react to cause neighbor friction. Great people skills. His crew is efficient and respectful. I was lucky to find Acevedo Tree Service through Yelp. I called them for stump removal and Ray answered the phone. He was driving so he told me to text him my address so that he could come by. He said we did not need to be home since the stump was in front yard. About an hour later, Ray was in our front yard looking at the stump. He called us and gave us a quote on the spot. Actually we were very surprised that he showed up so soon. We had contacted several other companies and they were either no show (some even twice) or did not follow up with a quote.
