Osteria ai Cacciatori offers outdoor seating along the canal or indoor seating. There are tables or you can just stand and enjoy your order by the bar. We opted to sit inside on a table. They also seem to have some games in the back and a private restroom for customers only. I ended up ordering 3 pieces of cicchetti to snack on with a glass of red wine at the display case. After we were handed the glass of wine and plate, we found an empty table to sit at. The red wine came from tap and it was a lot better than I expected! From what I read online, the bread is usually toasted but their bread was soft and room temperature. It was still good and the fish topping was quite good. Eating, laughing and dancing. Drinking wine of course. I wanted to join them! We had reservations and were seated inside at the window, so we could watch the sunset. It was perfect, from the appetizers, to the entrees and wine. I ate more than my share and drank so much incredible wine I was glad we were walking only a short distance back to the hotel. When we left over an hour later, the family in the courtyard was still there. I regret not bringing over a bottle of wine and joining them! I remember loving every morsel I ate and the wine wasn't extravagant, but it was excellent! Definitely worth the boat ride if you're staying in Venice.
