The 'ombre' wine was decent and cheap - in total we paid less than €10 for 8 cichetti, a glass of water and a glass of wine. Perfect! When I come back I'd love to try the osteria side as the portions looked impressive and fresh. For now, on the basis of the cichetti alone and the friendly staff, it's a solid four stars. It's also well-located for the station and the Rialto bridge so an easy place to reach from the main sights in the centre.

They also seem to have some games in the back and a private restroom for customers only. I ended up ordering 3 pieces of cicchetti to snack on with a glass of red wine at the display case. After we were handed the glass of wine and plate, we found an empty table to sit at. The red wine came from tap and it was a lot better than I expected! From what I read online, the bread is usually toasted but their bread was soft and room temperature. It was still good and the fish topping was quite good. Once you're done, you go up to the register to pay. Great experience trying cicchetti in Venice with excellent customer service!
