Cute little spot right on the canal. Drinks and snacks as the cute gondolas and local boats pass by. The staff seemed pleased to seat us right away and the fast service helped us keep up with our busy day. Nice break from the masses. Great to give the feet a brake as well! read more

Upon entry we were left waiting with no one acknowledging us. We understand restaurants are busy so we waited until someone sat us. Unfortunately our experience got worse. Our waitress was screaming from the dining room to the kitchen the entire time, at times it was in my face. She had little care to our food allergies but we were still able to find a meal that would accommodate for the allergies. We ordered the grilled eel, it was 80% skin and like rubber. My wrist hurt trying to cut it for so long. Upon trying to get the waitress's attention, she responded saying "quickly" waving her hands at us as though she didn't have the time of day to attend to us. She didn't come over to the table to look at the food just said that was how it was prepared and walked away. We wanted to order something else, and still pay for the first meal, just wanted something that wasn't rubber, but she rushed away before we could ask. I have never experienced anything like this rude and abrupt service. We respectfully paid the bill while our waitress was shouting in our faces to other tables and the kitchen. read more

Not bad, not great, but good food at decent prices. There is some outdoor seating by the canal, and a small air conditioned section inside. We chose the AC, but it was very cramped and people had to push past us to get in/out. They also brought out one entree about 15 minutes before the second, and the staff was not the most attentive. I have to admit, this place gave us the best meal in Venice. Granted, we didn't look very hard for really good food while we were there so it might not be hard to find better, but what we did get there was quite delicious and that if you are on the Murano Island in Venice, you really should go and order it - this would be their seafood spaghetti. For 30 EUR for two people, it's not cheap, but they don't cheap out on the seafood (shrimps, crayfish, squid, mussels, clams, and RAZOR CLAM). I'm not sure if it's the pan that's deceiving or the food is that good, but when the pan came, we thought that there was no way we could finish it, except not only did we finish it, we cleaned every bit up and wiped it clean with bread, offering the last bite to each other but both secretly hoping the other person would say no. They do charge a cover fee of 2 EUR per person on top of a 12% automatic gratuity, so if you sit down, don't ask for water, just order the seafood dish, you would walk away with a 34+4.08 (38.08) EUR bill. If you are like us, who said no to water but got 3 glasses of wine (in addition our neighbour table kindly offered the extra wine in their bottle or else that wouldn't have been enough), you'd end up with a 51.52 EUR bill. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? My boyfriend thinks the pasta was better than any paella he had in Barcelona. Myself? I wouldn't make that comparison. But if you are okay with forking out the cash on a sunny afternoon and sit next to a canal, I would totally go for it. read more

Best all-around meal we've had in Venice so far. The menu is very extensive, which was welcome after several days of the same old fare. The restaurant is patroned by locals and tourists alike, so they're doing something right. We ate outside, which is always nice, and had a seafood-centric feast: mantis shrimp (ok), three-fish carpaccio (fantastic!), sea bass baked in Salt (very moist and filleted tableside), and a pasta sampler with pumpkin ravioli, seafood gnocchi and seafood lasagna (would have been good if it were warmer), as well as the bottle of house wine. All of that, with cover, for a little over 70 Euros! Our server was pleasant and attentive, and brought us a complimentary granita (iced lemon drink) as an aperitif. If we lived in Murano, or even in Venice, we would go here on a weekly basis. read more

Unfortunately the food here was definitely sub-par compared to the other meals we've had during our stay in Venice. The waiting times were pretty awful, it took 25 minutes just to ask us what we wanted for drinks. The portions were on the smaller side and the mains came with no vegetables or sides whatsoever despite the high-ish prices (we had grilled salmon and beef). There was a €3 service charge per person and a 12% gratuity fee, for our order this meant 30% of the cost had nothing to do with food or drinks, which seems shocking. The food quality was average at best, we heard tables around us complaining they'd received the wrong orders (although this didn't happen to us). Would not come here or recommend, there are plenty of less expensive and better meals to be had in Murano. read more

Excellent food and fair prices (especially considering the very touristy atmosphere). The pizza was some of the best I had in Northern Italy. We also had the fried mixed seafood, which was also delicious. The location right by a canal was nice (as was the lack of exorbitant charges for sitting outside in a prime location). The reason for the four stars rather than five is the horrible service. It took sooooooo long to be served. Don't come here if you're under any time constraint. It worked well for me because we were waiting for the other members of my family to finish shopping while we ate, but had that not been the case, I may have walked away without ever tasting their delicious food. read more

This place has all the trappings, looks and feels of a tourist trap, and by most standards it probably is one, but we had a blast here anyway. Seated just off the canal in the spring sunshine, we enjoyed two of the best pizza's we've ever had, one of whom was a great pizza bianca with a pumpkin ('Zucca') sauce. My wife and I randomly stopped here for lunch back in April 2017, and it was the best decision we made that day. We shared the lobster spaghetti for two, and holy moly was it incredible. Been trying to recreate it ever since with little luck (it should be simple, right!?). The food in Venice was superb on the whole, but there was something amazing about this one lunch. I can't recommend it enough, and the next time we have the opportunity to go to Venice, we will absolutely take a water taxi to Murano to have lunch at Dalla Mora. read more

My party of 2 sat down outside before the party of 6 behind us sat down inside. We Proceeded to watch them get menus, drinks, and put in their order... while we still sat there without acknowledgment. When I went in to ask if we could move inside, after being walked past 4x without eye contact, I was informed that they were closed. Closed?! Are you kidding me? The party of 6 just sat down AFTER us and ordered. Not to mention the 3 tables full of people still outside. I would never recommend this place to anyone. On a rainy evening we decided to stop at this very cosy looking place, were locals dropped by for aperitivo before going home . Because of the nice atmosphere and very friendly service, we also stayed for dinner. Everything was perfect , well presented and very tasty, with the final highlight , the chefs cake of the day, which I thought only my mother could make in her best days. Obviously the next day we went back just for a drink, the cake was gone but lady chef quickly presented a freshly made tiramisu and later even surprised us with strawberry cake ... Because we had no intention of leaving this place. Good gluten free option for Murano. We stayed on Murano, a quieter alternative to staying in overcrowded Venice and came across Ristorante Dalla Mora one evening. Walking distance from most Vaporetto stops on the island (not sure but maybe Museo or Venier are probably the closest), Dalla Mora offers indoor and outdoor seating on a canal. Having celiac, I was thrilled to see that they were familiar with 'senze glutine' and had gluten free pasta, which I ordered. The pasta was so good my wife wasn't sure it was gluten free! We confirmed with Tanjil, our waiter, who promised us it was. My wife got grilled salmon, which she really enjoyed. Food is good, not excellent. Prices are reasonable -- expect to pay at least 15 euros per person or more, depending on the number of dishes and type of drinks you order. The setting is very nice, and we were very pleased with the service we got. Thank you Tanjil for taking such good care of us and ensuring that my meal was gluten free! read more
