A little oasis of calm, and great food. Hidden away from the busiest parts of Murano. The mixed cheese and meat plate is a perfect lunch! And great value.

We had beer and a cheese/sausage platter, and the biscotti. All was fantastic. Ordered the platter for two but we got three plates regardless which was thoughtful. The staff is very friendly but doesn't speak a lot of English, it didn't bother us. They also offered us a place in the garden.

Staying on Murano instead of in Venice turned out to be an incredible experience. Venice is great,…read morebut getting out of the crowd was such a relief at the end of the day, and part of the wonder of Murano is Versus Meridianem! This quaint, understated INCREDIBLE restaurant is located on the water, at the end of a quiet street in a quiet part of town on this quiet tranquil island. This whole island feels local, not touristy. And that is probably because it is local. This is where a lot of the locals live. And that feeling extends into this restaurant. The entire outdoor courtyard when we arrived was filled with a large family, who must've been from the island, as there was about 40 of them. It looked like the matrons birthday. Celebrating. Eating, laughing and dancing. Drinking wine of course. I wanted to join them! We had reservations and were seated inside at the window, so we could watch the sunset. It was perfect, from the appetizers, to the entrees and wine. I ate more than my share and drank so much incredible wine I was glad we were walking only a short distance back to the hotel. When we left over an hour later, the family in the courtyard was still there. I regret not bringing over a bottle of wine and joining them! I remember loving every morsel I ate and the wine wasn't extravagant, but it was excellent! Definitely worth the boat ride if you're staying in Venice. If you're on Murano, I'm jealous, I wish I was there! Definitely get a table.

It has big and pretty amazing Murano glass chandeliers which are the perfect center piece of the dining room. The huge floor to ceiling windows make it nice and bright. I had the vegetable soup which was delicious and did my unsettled stomach a world of good. Hubby had the prongs and zucchini pesto pasta (which he shared with me) Oh lord, it was so good! And we shared a prosciutto ham pizza. It was one of rhw best I have had on this trip. Because I was a little queasy for some reason, I didn't have any wine but they have a great variety. They weren't too busy, which I didn't get because the view alone is worth it, and their prices are very comparable to everywhere else we have been. Service is typical Italian, they take your order, ring it and leave you alone until you are ready. Great place!

Location is very nice, right at a pretty trendy canal, filled with lots of restaurants and bars. Right next to is an excellent gelato place. It's quite small inside with few tables, many just hang around outside - and why not, the location at the canale is a pretty spot. We did manage though to get some seats inside. Our Bulldog was very welcome here as well. The various cicchetti are presented at the counter. There are some classics of course, but also some very innovative creations. We went for the latter. There was gorgonzola with strawberry, radicchio with brie cheese, pesto topped with an anchovie and mushrooms, mashed fava beans with pulp and mashed fava with goats cheese and a cherry. All really wonderful combinations. Our favorite were the radicchio and the fava/goat cheese. Surely something to recreate back home. Staff was very friendly, we felt very welcome here. And instead of focussing on Aperol, Select and Prosecco, it's mostly about white and red wine here. And they have an excellent selection of wine. Not all cheap, but definitely worth the money. We especially loved the Pinot Nero "Terre di Giotto". A brillant cicchetti bar. Definitely a place we come back to next time in Venice.

Maybe he was having an off night. He asked what we wanted to try. He'd pour a tasting and then roll his eyes and wander off, bring his friends their charged phones from the back, and then just look at us. Such a shame, we had hoped for a better experience. We found many other places in this area that we loved and enjoyed their wine. Such a cool hip local area.

Decor is super cute and def gives off that Venice vibes! Not to mention this was actually a very highly rated restaurant according to google with a lux dinning experience. The seafood we both had was super fresh and actually quite filling. I was worried I was still going to be hungry after eating. The service is A1! he speaks fluent English and was very helpful answering our questions before we ordered. They def have some top notch quality food and service to accompany you!

The restaurant quickly filled completely after a short time. We had the thinly sliced beef with apricots for an aperatif and the beef was so tender you could cut it with a fork. They had an extensive wine list and we had a bottle of Teroldego which we had sampled at the Rioja winery in Romero and it was perfect. My husband had the lamb - tender and perfectly done. I had the potato and zucchini filled pasta which was delicious and the plate presentations for everything were beautiful. We had their tiramisu for dessert which was also delicious. It was an outstanding and memorable meal for our last night in Venice.

We decided to check them out because I wanted to try cicchetti while in Venice. Cicchetti originated from Venice and it's basically small plates (think tapas). Osteria ai Cacciatori offers outdoor seating along the canal or indoor seating. There are tables or you can just stand and enjoy your order by the bar. We opted to sit inside on a table. They also seem to have some games in the back and a private restroom for customers only. I ended up ordering 3 pieces of cicchetti to snack on with a glass of red wine at the display case. After we were handed the glass of wine and plate, we found an empty table to sit at. The red wine came from tap and it was a lot better than I expected! From what I read online, the bread is usually toasted but their bread was soft and room temperature. It was still good and the fish topping was quite good. Once you're done, you go up to the register to pay. Great experience trying cicchetti in Venice with excellent customer service!
