The restaurant is near the Glass Museum. Nice outdoor seating with view of the canal and the bridge. Love my eggplant parmesan. The others liked the black ink pasta and fried mixed seafood.

Located on the island of Murano a bit away from the glass shops and tourist areas we happened to stop in for lunch and I loved everything about this place. Tip: It's well worth spending the day in Murano and check out all the glass shops and artisans workshops. It's a seafood and pasta place and the menus look tacky and we almost did not stop here. Service is courteous and the food is simply amazing. I ordered the Spaghetti Vongole with Squid and it was delicate, flavourful and the squid was cooked to perfection. The tiramisu for dessert was also very good and creamy and packed with flavour. We had the house Rosetta for drink and it was reasonable and a great drop for a warm day. Coffee and Limoncello here is also excellent. The limoncello I had was one of the best ever for me. I would gladly come back here and it is quite reasonable. The waiters do speak some English so you should not have a problem. Pick something from the daily specials and you won't be disappointed. Don't expect fancy food but the taste is exceptional.

Came to Murano to spend the day and got hungry. My mom and I saw this place had good reviews and decided to try it out. I randomly ordered the spaghetti carbonara and fried prawns and oh man! Both dishes were amazing. Best meal I've had while in Venice so far. Definitely worth a stop.

4.5 and rounded up. Interesting the range of reviews here. Came here in April and found the food…read morestellar and prices spectacular for the quality of food relative to NYC. Initial impressions--the outdoor patio seating along the canal looked lovely though was completely packed at lunchtime around 1pm. Waiting at the front of the restaurant, service looked to be quite busy, I walked inside and saw what appeared to be a manager or waitstaff having a conversation with the bartender. Not wanting to interrupt, I waited for about 5-7 minutes for them to be done, it was a bit strange because neither of them seemed to acknowledge my presence until I finally interrupted and asked if there were any tables available. Not sure if Italians expect you to make yourself known in this type of situation? In any case, we were directed to a different waitstaff and seated pretty promptly after that. Once seated, service was actually pretty great overall, though it did feel with the lunchtime rush each of the table staff had many tables to handle simultaneously. The overall ambience was warm with partial stone walls, and a bit formal, with white tablecloths and fabric-covered high-back seats. The waitstaff were polished and in uniform. The outside patio seated around 20 and interior dining rooms probably another 50 inside. We were seated in a smaller side room with tables for about dozen people which ended up being kinda nice to have some privacy. Menus come in Italian and English which was very helpful. Food and drink: Glass of chianti €5: lovely. I'm not a big chianti drinker so not quite qualified to make any judgements here, it was an enjoyable glass of red! Gingerino €3.50: this is not ginger ale, (which I knew ;) so anticipated and ordered this non-alcoholic aperitivo soda with curiosity. It's native to Venice and flavored with bitter citrus and herbs, similar to a root beer/sasparilla with citrus notes. Really enjoyed this! You can also find this in supermarkets in Venice. 30-month Parma ham with carasau bread and pears in red wine €14: ugh....that ham ((drool)). The complex sweet/tart flavors from the red wine poached pears went really well with the ham. Glad they have us a separate bread basket as it was helpful in pairing with this appetizer! Pappardelle with beef cheek stew fried leek and currants €15: delicious. Pasta was maybe a little over but beef cheek meat was tender, sauce was good and fried leeks added a bit of a crisp on top. Linguini alla Scoglio - linguini with mussels, clams, prawns, squid €19: superb. Would def recommend this. The picture doesn't do it justice, the sauce was great, not really spicy at all, the dish was chock full of seafood, quite a decent portion size (the plate was quite large), and all was cooked perfectly. Yummy! Desserts: we were too full but our German and British neighbors at the table next to us ordered a couple items and by the amount of "ooo's and aahh's" coming from the table were clearly delighted. Looking at their plates, both plating and desserts were creative and gorgeous. If I go back I'd surely order dessert here too.

It was a cute ambience, brick walls, arched walkways, colorful glass decorations. Servers were friendly. We got: Pork belly with radicchio and balsamic sauce: one of our appetizers, absolutely the best dish!!! It was a perfect mix of textures with the crispy pork belly with the moisture and crunch of the vegetables, sprinkled with some raisins and nuts adding interest, and the balsamic sauce with the perfect amount of acidity. Worked so well together, refreshing, loved it! Burrata eggplant appetizer: it was ok, cooked tomatoes were amazingly sweet and just wish there was more of it. The burrata itself doesn't have much flavor, but that's the same as what I've experienced elsewhere in Italy. Maybe that's normal? Eggplants were fine. It came with 2 chip-like things which were a nice touch. Beef cheek with purple potato and fried leek: meat seemed roasted, was impressively soft/tender. Purple potato was a fun color and sauce was ok. Fried leeks were a nice crunchy aspect. Overall though, it was a very mild dish and I wasn't blown away. Spaghetti with black garlic and langoustine: a little salty but otherwise pretty good, spaghetti was bouncy and cooked perfectly. Langoustine was slightly raw, I think intentional but not my preference. My partner cracked into the shell and got to some sweet sweet langoustine meat--delicious! Actually the dish reminded me a little of Chinese chow mein... Mousse cake: so beautiful! Loved the presentation. There were a few layers inside the half dome. It was a bit sweet but with the raspberry sauce was perfect. Also got the ginseng coffee which was a bit sweet but pleasant and my partner got the Machiatone which was good. Overall pleased with the experience! Loved the creativity and attention to detail.

A one-star review. That happens very rarely with me. When travelling I prepare myself well…read more Checking ratings, reading reviews. Making lists with options to eat. So, what happened here you might ask? We walked by this restaurant a day before our experience. A lively place selling tasty-looking seafood. Checked the ratings, looked all fine. So we decided to come back the next day to get some nice early dinner. We wanted to sit inside actually, but were told to get a table outside. Looked like rain soon - which luckily didn't arrive. Our waiter seemed rushed and not really in a good mood from the start. Got handed the menu. But there's a nice counter inside with all kinds of nice fish and seafood. That's actually what we came for. We asked the waiter on how to order that, but were told "no need to rush" without further explanation and left. So my wife went inside to have a look, since we didn't find that on the menu card we've got. She ordered a nice plate of mixed seafood inside. Which somewhat angered our waiter. I was still reading the menu for some more dishes to order. Waiter took it out of my hand, telling me "you don't need that anymore, you already ordered". Yeah, some. But we wanted more. But we made a decision that moment to leave it and to stop ordering more. Really weren't in the mood for food anymore. Shortly after he arrived with the mixed seafood. And that was actually very tasty. Fantastic even. Had two glasses of white wine with if, tasty as well, but not cheap. After less than half an hour we decided to pay and leave. Even great, we didn't enjoy it much anymore. Asked for the bill, our waiter arrived with it shortly after. Then the reason for the one-star review came (actually reason enough at that point already). My wife merely asked if she could pay with a credit card. "Be quiet!" was the answer. Yes! Be Quiet...to my wife! These exact words. Not because of a language barrier (his english was more than fine), not because of a misunderstanding. Plain and simple rudeness. I hope his mother is proud of him. How dare you talk to a woman, to a paying guest like that. If my wife wouldn't have signaled me to stay calm, I would have caused a very big scene at that moment. But we were on vacation. We won't a moment like this kill our mood for the rest of the trip. But at that moment I was cooking inside. A verbal attack like this I've never encountered. I've read some more reviews later. It seems not the first time that service here is out of line. It's a shame. The food is wonderful. Not cheap though, paid almost 50 Euros! Coperta is a normal thing, but here a bit higher than elsewhere. And this is the first time I've thought that the coperta was not deserved. Almost took it off the bill, but we didn't want to cause a bigger fight. Not sure what was/is wrong with this certain waiter. A dislike to tourists? A bad day? But: there's no reason to treat us like this. THE worst service experience we've ever had. And that means something. If you read up on my reviews here on Yelp and other platforms you'll see that bad reviews like this rarely happen. Nothing's gonna happen to Mr. Friendly anyway job-wise. But I wish at least he would be told by his boss. Then again, one day he'll meet guests that won't hold back if he acts like this again. And I find comfort in that.

The waiter was overly pushy from the start, constantly upselling and pushing bottled water (which, of course, they charge for). The food was highly mediocre and felt like typical tourist trap fare. Our two teenage daughters ordered pesto pasta, and it was overwhelmingly salty. My wife's pomodoro pasta had no flavor at all. I had a pasta dish with red sauce, mushrooms, and shrimp -- the shrimp were tiny, rubbery, and clearly frozen. This place is all about location and catching tourists, not about serving quality food. Our perfect single day in this city was completely ruined by this meal. As my husband said, "Olive Garden has more flavor." If you are US based, you know exactly what I am talking about. I got the spaghetti with seafood. One prawn, two shrimp, a few mussels and clams with squid. The seafood itself was fine - it should be as I'm on the water - but nothing to blow my skirt up. The pasta? Salty and watery and.....boxed. It was hard, thin spaghetti and tasted like the $1 great value brand, My husband got the spaghetti with mussels and clams. Not even sure what the sauce was supposed to be? Garlic and olive oil perhaps? One thing we have found is that Italians love to brag about their food - in Venice, along Rialto bridge you had people begging you to come to their restaurant - so we figured we would go off the beaten path away from the touristy areas and got completely shammed. As for my previous comment: unless it is fresh pasta or gluten free, while I am not celiac, have a problem processing it and my joints and stomach get bloated. We are on day 6/8 and after eating bread/pasta or multiple courses, this one meal has me feeling absolutely horrible and in pain.
