Ever got pissed about BS work stuff? (SMASH that monitor!)…read more That guy who cut you off (without blinkers) near University, have you foaming at the mouth? (THROW that glass tea cup!) That lying, stink breath, snake of a property manager who takes weeks to respond & overbilled you, make you see red? (SWING that metal pipe!) You ever feel so angry, you want to scream and break sh*t without someone calling the cops? (SLEDGEHAMMER that plate!). (All of this is being done legally & safely, of course, with safety suits and helmets/gloves, if you decide to drop some $$ and spend some time here.) There is a good selection of shattery breakables to choose. We were given 45 minutes but the two of us finished in about 20 (I guess we had a lot to unleash!). It gets hot in the helmet/suit, especially when you're expelling all that rage, so expect a good workout (cathartic even!) Call/check out their site for discounts/promos (including Kama'aina). Parking: lots of garage parking around the Ward/Kaka'ako area, if you don't mind a short warmup walk over.

Tried Out a Rage Room for the First Time - Totally Worth It!…read more I've been hearing about this rage room for a while and finally decided to check it out. I called ahead to ask about any discounts for locals or birthdays, and they told me they do offer a local discount with valid ID -- nice little bonus! They also said they had availability that day, so I figured, why not? The whole experience was super satisfying. Ever feel like breaking something at work but don't want to get fired? Break n Anger is the place to let that urge out safely and legally. Here's how it works: You get to choose 2 items from the top shelf and 5 items each from shelves 2, 3, and 4 -- so about 17 items total to smash. After signing the waivers, you suit up in a jumpsuit, gloves, and a helmet. They offer earplugs too, but I skipped those -- the sound of breaking stuff is half the fun. Honestly, the time flew by -- I went all in for 10 minutes and it felt like seconds. I probably should've paced myself, but I really wanted to let the rage out. No regrets though -- it was super fun, and I can totally see this being a great team-building activity. I'm definitely planning to go back and try the premium items next time!

They were very kind and informative. There were ten of us aged 5-40 and we all had a ball. Games in the escape room were fun to figure out. The staff gave us clues when we needed. I would 10/10 recommend for a group gathering, team building, couples date night. I'll definitely be coming back to try a different room. Thank you for the best birthday for my daughter.

The two kids that were working seemed almost bothered and uninterested in us and it was like everything was a chore -- from simply telling us about the waiver, to "welcoming" us, to introducing us to the room, to giving us clues, to "congratulating" us at the end. Everything seemed forced, like we made them wake up early or something, and they could barely crack a smile. At the end, we got a half hearted "come back soon." No thanks. I also played the room we had today before, and it seemed like they toned things down a bit and it was just meh. The first time I played this room we needed more than the 3 clues and barely made it out at the end. This time, we made it out in less than 30 mins lol. We're not THAT good. The room was mediocre, the staff is mediocre, and sadly this place has gone downhill. Go to the Ala Moana escape room if you want a great experience and a staff that makes you feel like they want your business.

You need to gain access to the trailhead as it is in the military housing behind Tripler Hospital. Fortunately, my hiking buddy works for the military and we were able to get to the trailhead with no problems. There was ample parking and appears to be fairly safe given that this is on military area. So while I wouldn't recommend leaving your car unlocked, the chances of your car getting broken into is pretty slim. Going up the paved path is pretty straight forward. Just make sure you take the HECO road on the left once you're on the "trail." The incline is steady and you're quickly admiring views of Oahu. We went around lunchtime so the sun was overhead and shade was a bit scarce. I can imagine that once the guavas are ripe, the air would smell guavaey lol. So it was a relief to get to the end of the paved area, do some drone shots and go back down. We would definitely go again to do the full ridge!

A $5+tax deposit is needed to secure your time slot, with the remaining balance due upon completion of your activity. Total was $36+tax per person, for 90 minutes of play time. Located in Keahou Lane with ample parking on the 1st and 2nd floor. Look for the stalls with orange signage for "shops at Keahou Lane," and avoid the reserved stalls. When arriving, the check-in counter is on the Keawe Street side. They get you all setup in a lane and explain how this all works. There's a whiteboard to keep track of your scores, but you can make up the rules and games as you go. There's a QR code with suggested games to play, along with a snack and beverage menu. Our coach Myles was fantastic. He was checking people in, bartending, filling waters, and bussing dishes. All the while, he would pass by our lane, give us tips and tricks, along with very encouraging words of affirmation. It's not about strength but finesse at the end of the day. With 2 people, I would say that 90-min felt very long, but at the same time, we got our money's worth.

Upon check in for our reservation, they ask you to read and sign the waiver for liability. If you are not wearing closed-toe shoes, they have disposable socks and loaner shoes available. Our coach went motion by motion, to show us the technique for throwing an axe. She stepped back and watched the first few throws and then offered a little more guidance. I had zero experience, never even touched an ax before this so it took me a while to get the hang of it. It was a little discouraging at first but overall, we had friendly competition on our scoreboard and the time went by too fast. Pleasantly surprised to see a full bar with great options. We ordered a cocktail and a beer. This may have helped my throws get better because the axe started landing on higher scores LOL This was a wonderful indoor activity to try. We both had a lot of fun with a little friendly competition.

Never thought I'd enjoy virtual golf as much as I do now…read more Last year, I signed up for a membership because I used to go to the driving range 2-3 times a week and play on the course every other week. With how much driving range prices have increased over the years, the membership has actually helped me save money each month. Being able to play 18 holes twice a week on the simulator alone makes it worth every penny. The Golfzon simulator is also the best one I've tried compared to other sims. One feature I really enjoy is being able to track my stats and review my swing analysis videos directly in the Golfzon app on my phone -- something I can't get at a regular driving range. I also enjoy the flexibility of having private late-night sessions after a long day at work. It's a great alternative to the gym and a fun way to switch things up. Bringing friends to play in the virtual league has been a blast too. On top of that, the owner, Anant, is very welcoming and accommodating. The members I've met are all different skill levels, and everyone has been super friendly and cool. This is definitely the golfing community I've been looking for.

I love that you get the whole place to yourself, the room is huge and there's a lot of things to do aside from the simulator itself. Entertainment- putting area, 2 arcade games, karaoke, cards, 2 smart tvs. Food/comfort- tables, extra chairs, 2 comfy sofas, refrigerator, microwave (can bring your own drinks and food) Parking is easy to find, we just park by Hawai'i USA and take the elevator up. Kahi is an easygoing guy and made everything simple to understand when teaching us about how to use the simulator. We liked it so much that we signed up for membership that day. We're here maybe like once a week. It's also kid friendly! We have a 1 and 4 yr old that we bring sometimes. We always book the 2hr reservation and that gets us through an 18hole course (2 players) and time for driving range or parts of another course after. They also have an app connected with the simulator that records your swing and gives you feedback on it. It records your scores on the courses too. Booking is also super easy! Communication with the owners is also really good, they respond pretty quickly. So far they've done an outstanding job. If you love to golf, but can't go out to the courses all the time then a membership here or even just visiting here to try it out is definitely a must!
