The hotel looks good on the website, but looks can be deceiving…read more First, this "new" hotel is a reskin of a vintage Holiday Inn motel, the sort where every room opens to the outside (no interior hallways). In May that isn't a huge deal but I don't know that I'd want to stay here in the winter or the fall. YMMV. Because it is an old motel, the rooms are very small, much smaller than they look in the photos. Dark and dingy, too. Vintage wall AC units. In contrast, the interior common area is quite large and more modern. It houses the restaurant, the main bar, and a few secondary rooms. The outdoor pool is large and has extensive seating. There is also a lift to get in to the pool for those with a disability, but it is quite vintage. The bar has a good bourbon list and small bites. The restaurant is just OK. Fine for a hotel but nothing notable. Staff was very friendly. I would be very careful to watch prices when booking this hotel. I booked in February for a May stay, and was charged over $300 a night. This is not a $300 a night hotel. If I was paying closer attention, I could have cancelled a week before and rebooked for $150 a night. You have been warned! Accessibility note If you use a wheelchair, as I do, I would not recommend staying here, for two reasons. As mentioned above, rooms are small - barely enough space for a wheelchair to navigate. The roll in shower, in particular, is very very tight and I ended up not using it. The other issue is bed height - they are extremely tall beds, the tallest I've encountered. I was able to work with the staff to have the platform removed, so that the box spring was on the floor, and that helped. Staff was friendly and helpful, but still, there's no reason for such tall beds. If you are not wheelchair bound, but of a modest height, you may still find the beds a challenge.

After checking in and entering our room, I immediately noticed that Cody had already turned the heat on, ensuring the room was warm and comfortable upon arrival. This thoughtful gesture made a great first impression and was especially appreciated by my wife. Cody truly went above and beyond what we expected, and that level of customer care makes a huge difference when traveling. I would highly recommend Lincoln Lodge to anyone traveling to or through the Hodgenville, Kentucky area. We will absolutely stay again.

You're Invited Inn was so much more, and so fantastic, that it's the perfect spot to stay when you're touring the Bourbon Trail. Easter and Alvin are fantastic hosts, and their house sits not far from the highway. Their directions are easy to follow, and GPS easily finds the address which is even more important when your flight's delayed and you don't get to the area until after midnight. They left us a note on the door, made sure we could get in, and the room was beautiful and even included some homemade brownies as a "sorry for the airlines being lame!" goodnight snack. The bed, at least in the red room we stayed in, was a king size and included a couch, supple carpet and a bathroom with a soaking tub. But we weren't interested, just interested in sleeping, which we did forthwith. Breakfast, similarly, was as fantastic as you'd expect it to be. It's the first three-course breakfast I'd ever had, and included an appetizer (coffee cake), a main course (potatoes, eggs and bacon and/or sausage) as well as a dessert. More coffee than you can shake a stick at, and flexible timing so if you want breakfast a little earlier or later, Easter would work with you to make that happen. For Bourbon Fest, and a lot of other prime leaf-viewing weekends, people make reservations a long time in advance, so get your request in early. It's one of the best spots to stay.

The lodge and additional kitchen/party space is huge, there is so much room! You can do everything here from weddings to family reunions! It's right on the lake and there are so many beautiful little sitting areas and reflection spots. There is a playground for the kids. There is something here for everyone! If you are looking for a place to have an overnight event. I highly recommend Pine Paradise! I met the owner and he is a real down to earth and friendly guy!

There were six homes on the tour this year. Each home has its own history with unique homeowners creating new history. The newer constructed homes have the charm one would want to expect. Most Gracious Hosts with refreshments at each home, each with their own exclusive design style made us wonder. How in the world did they think of doing that? Loved Loved! Will return every year now!

The campground is normally well manicured, a genuine camping experience with the amenities of a bath house and certain sites having electric and water. The only thing I could dock stars for (but figure it's part of camping anyway), would be the bath house. The sheer amount of spiders and large insects lingering around at all hours is insane, especially when showering or dropping the deuce, as 8 legs come hauling ass your way! The campground has become increasingly packed on weekends with many of the sites being booked months in advance. That's fine by us. Our schedule allows us to be off while the majority of the workforce is hard at it. We absolutely love being at the campground through the week, especially while school is in session. This allows us to sometimes be the only campers in the area and the waters of Nolin lake to be like glass. The campsites vary in length and layout as well as some that offer electric and water. They all have a picnic table, lantern hook and a fire ring with grill top. Just bring a tent and some chairs, don't forget the graham crackers, chocolate and the marshmallows and make memories that you and your family will cherish forever. You will see plenty of deer and wild turkey in the area throughout the year. Many of the sites have lakefront footage as well, allowing you or loved ones to wet a line and maybe catch dinner for the evening. Hope your family enjoys your stay as much as mine, Happy Camping!

Trash can and fire wood on site at entrance to the camp grounds. Be prepared with bug spray and to check yourself and little ones for ticks. We had a raccoon visitor. If tent camping place food in car overnight if possible. I'm surprised no one reviewed the beach area on Yelp. It was hard to find. We drove a ways to Nolin State Park public beach. Small area but just right if you're looking for sun, sand, and water. There is a concession stand that was open from 1-7 pm. I thought that was brilliant and convenient. Overall wonderful experience! We would return.

We walked the loop before bedtim, trying to get a break from the loud noise, but realized the ENTIRE LOOP was affected by the loud generator. When there are plenty of sites with electrical hookups, generators should not be allowed Be considerate of your neighbors, leave the LOUD generators at home, and book a site that comes with electricity
