When our garage door opener stopped working we called Action and the owner, Dave, sent one of his employees out for a repair. Jesse was there the same day. He was knowledgeable and efficient and concluded that the opener itself needed replacement. My husband installed garage doors many years ago and was there as Jesse worked diligently to adjust the existing limit switches. When it was evident that we needed a new opener. It was replaced the next day by Jesse and Sal who did a fabulous job, not only replacing the unit but lubricating all the old tracks. They removed all the old parts, trash and left the garage in the same condition as when they started. Walked us thru the instructions on the new unit, Guided us through the steps for the new entry panel. Great service from beginning to end. I accidentally closed the red rope that hangs down from the garage door rail in the truck door. As the door tried to close one of the hinges between sections broke. It also ripped the metal the hinge screwed into. This was my at my Dads house so I felt terrible but also couldn't see an easy fix. I called Action Garage Door Co. And received a call back almost immediately even though it was only 7am. A message was left by Dave giving me the name of someone who would call me and could come later that day. Sure enough, I got the call but I was at work so didn't see it until after 5. But when I pulled up to my Dads house, Jeramy had already stopped by and replaced the hinge with a longer one and everything worked like new. Action was fast, reponsive, and reasonably priced. Our garage has been broken pre COVID then it became hard to get anybody out to take care of it so we gave up for awhile. While passing through mound house I saw their sign and they came out for an estimate the next day. It did take 3 weeks after the first call but they had to go all the way to Sacramento to get the brand new garage. After they had the garage in their possession they then came out the next day and installed it. The installation took 3 hours but it was a brand new garage with new brackets wheels and the garage door itself plus they hooked it all up to my current garage door motor. They gentlemen were friendly and efficient and made sure everything worked to my satisfaction before they left. I would recommend to anybody who needs repair or a whole new garage. read more

Worst customer service! Rude employees and owner! I had a garage door opener installed and it was defective after a few weeks. I did not call them back due to the rudeness the first time around. They charged a $95/service charge which is higher than the going rate of any other service company. I did not want to pay that again. I sent the defective opener back to them asking for a refund. The call I was not professional at all. They refused to refund my $85 dollars for the opener and said they would send it back to me. I never received it. I had another garage door company install a new one for $55 (same manufacturer as Action sells) and there was not a service charge. Would not recommend Action Door in Dayton to anyone!! read more

Had a major door malfunction which needed repair to enter the garage. Called Action and spoke with Dave. Reuben was dispatched and he completed an 'overhaul' of my track system. The options of the work to be completed were presented, no pressure at all. Reuben completed the task and a slight error which needed to be corrected was immediately remedied by Dave himself. Old system but it was salvageable due to their expertise in the business. Will I recommend them...you bet and to all that ask. Highly recommended in a world where many businesses are lax in even returning calls, they were above and beyond; professional; courteous and they cleaned up after the job was completed. 10 stars if there were more available. read more

We hired Action Garage to install a whole house fan and the whole process was very professional and well done. Joe came out for a preliminary inspection and set a follow-on appointment. Had to postpone a day due to a coworker being sick, but still communicated with clear updates and the next day they arrived 15 mins early and did a very professional job. I put our request online on Sunday afternoon, within minutes Dave had called us to set up an appointment for an estimate,( we live almost an hour away). Dave came out on Monday to check out our door and give us a price. He kept us informed when there was a one-day delay on our door, and came out on Thursday to install it. The garage door would not open all the way, it kept sticking, Contacted Action Garage Door, (Dave), he came over checked it out and recommended one of his workers to come by to fix the problem. Jerame C. came by about 30 minutes later and replaced the rollers and springs, adjustments made to the garage door and fix the problem. The door now opens and closes correctly. The spring on my garage door broke last Monday rendering my door useless. I called 4 garage door companies in the Reno area. I live in California south of Gardnerville. He was right on time, had our new opener installed in about 30 minutes which is super fast, and also took the time to show me all the new features and how to change the lightbulbs and adjust the sensors and everything.
