Do not go here! I went here a FULL YEAR AGO, and they just sent me a bill for $70 out of no where after I have already paid almost $300 with insurance. Also, a year ago, they lost my test results, and I had to call them no less than 4 times to beg for my results and never got them. They never called me back, so I just gave up and now they have the nerve to send me a bill a full year later. I seriously can't believe it. I will be contacting their team and fighting this. Was seen here and everyone was very nice. Did a blood test and my arm was bruised up for a week and the best part they said they didn't get the part of the blood work that mattered. They said they ordered it but it wasn't done and I might have to do another test. I asked them to please ask the company they had run the test re do it cause as they can see my arm is still bruised from the last test. They said they would and give me a call , a week now and no calls. They want you to use their app for appointments. BEWARE, the app will charge your co pay and add a $50 charge for cancellation. I asked them about the $50 charge and asked them to remove it. They said it will automatically get refunded. A week goes by and still no refund. I called the office and they now say they can't refund me and I will have to call their billings department. Hope it goes better for everyone else. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars- avoid. It was a Thursday night around 530pm and I walked in there were not patients waiting. The front desk was nice and got me checked in. I told her that I think I have strep throat and that my neck severely swollen, hurts to touch and it hurts extremely bad to swallow. Once checked in, I waited a few minutes to be seen. The girl checking my vitals seemed like she was in a bad mood, barley made me feel comfortable. I have "white coat syndrome", my blood pressure always spikes when they put the thing on my arm. She seemed less than pleased and made it seem like I was very unhealthy ( I was at a different urgent care 2 weeks prior for bronchitis and my blood pressure was fine the second time taken). She walks me to the room tells me that Tanesha, will he helping me. I said great, thank you! Tanesha comes in, I explain my story again. I am a teacher and three students in my class have had strep throat this week, I'm pretty sure I have it too. It's hard to tell when you don't have any toncils. I explained that even though I do not have toncils, I have had strep throat before. She looked at my ears and throat for a second, felt my extremely swollen lymph nodes and said it's a viral infection, take some aspirin for the pain and use Clorox wipes to clean your classroom. She was in and out in about 3 min. She didn't even bother to do a strep test!!! I went to work (in a classroom with 28 kids) the next day feeling like complete garbage, thinking that I was fine and not contagious. Well, the pain just kept getting worse. So Saturday, I go to a different clinic. They checked my vitals, asked me the pain rating 1-10, did a strep test and culture, asked me a million questions about what's bothering me. Validated that my lymph nodes were extremely swollen. GUESS WHAT!? The strep test came back and I DID IN FACT HAVE STREP THROAT. So now, I've had strep throat since Wednesday (it's Saturday) I've been in severe pain for 3 days- not to mention extremely contagious all because Action Urgent Care didn't want to be bothered with me. I sincerely hope that I did not pass strep throat to my 4 year old or to my 7 & 8 year old students. The second urgent care prescribed me antibiotics and a few hours after taking them my lymph nodes started to go back to normal. The next day my throat didn't hurt as badly. I came in person after having trouble with an online appointment, and even though I was scheduled at another location they were able to re-schedule me to be see me right away. My first bad review. They claim to give out COVID test results between 24-48 hours and it has been 4 days and we still haven't gotten the results yet. If you want to get tested and want the results within a day or two, I recommend you not to go to this place. You will not get the results in a day or two as advertised by them. Every-time we call-in to check, we get the same response, the labs are uploading the tests as we speak. read more

The lady at front is awesome. The rest was not good at all. They were not at all ready , or had proper material, bandages to take care of a scrape wound. Had to go home and use my own bandages. Lack of knowledge, expertise and material resources if you have a cut, wound etc. read more

BEWARE - BILLING SCAM I went for a bug bite issue on 7/31/2018, had an exam from a physician assistant and received a cortisone shot. 8/3/2018 I went in for a follow-up exam for the same bug bite to make sure everything was alright with the same physician assistant. The physician assistant provided acceptable service with regards to the bug bite. A few weeks later I received a detailed bill from Blue Cross Blue Shield showing that they charged my insurance for smoking cessation services for both appointments on 7/31/2018 and 8/3/2018. I am a smoker and I did mark on the initial sign in documentation that I was a smoker. Smoking cessation services were never provided at either appointment. I called their billing department and the representative kept avoiding the issue and said she will call me back after she speaks to her manager. I asked for her managers name then I never heard back from them. I informed Blue Cross Blue Shield of their billing fraud. In addition, I received a bill today for $30 and it was for "Services provided in an office during regularly scheduled office hours, evening, weekend, or holiday". Does that mean at all times? WHAT A JOKE! These people are scamming the insurance companies and people in need of medical services. read more

Be Aware - Billing scam. I went there last year to get an annual checkup (covered by my insurance) but they charged me several hundred dollars. The receptionist told me even it's an annual check up, you still need to pay for the visit. I have been fighting with their billing department for over a year, and now they are using debt collector to threaten me. I feel so hopeless as they are threatened me to ruin my credit and I have no choice but to pay for a "suppose to be free" annual check up. I started my invisalign and my jaw was getting some inflammation. My dentist who is now out of area said if I have a problem just get a steroid pack at an urgent care. 1 person in front of me and I waited 21/2 hours. Gave me a covid test even though I have 0 symptoms. Tried to sell ne on making them my PCP, then said they couldnt prescribe me steroids and I had to go to a specialist they recommend. This is an absolute joke. How can you staff people who aren't able to prescribe a steroid??!?? But I am sure the bill will be put in with my insurance. read more

Went in for an appointment at 9:30am, wasn't seen until 12pm purely because the receptionist Skype call couldn't connect? There was no receptionist and only one doctor. On that visit where I waited almost 3 hours, I was literally seen for 5 minutes with the nurse saying "oh, you're fine. Just come back if something changes." Beware- billing scam! I had a very bad experience there. I went there because of my bruised foot. At first, they told me they accept my insurance but later on, I got the surprise bills. They even charge $200 just to hand over me the report. The receptionist told me that the doctor is busy he cannot come. A life saver! My daughter developed a UTI and symptoms started Saturday evening of Memorial weekend. (of course!) She also has autism, and great anxiety about doctors and new situations. I found an open urgent care and explained the situation. They gave me the number for Telecure and suggested I try that first. I was skeptical that they would be able to prescribe any antibiotics, but I called and the agent took my information. Within 20 minutes a medical person called back (not sure if it was a doctor or nurse practitioner ) we went through some questions about symptoms and she prescribed an antibiotic. Just like that! Since it was now after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, most pharmacies were closed. The agent called around on my behalf and found a 24 hour pharmacy near me. The customer service and follow through were excellent. The whole thing (outside of the prescription) cost $45. (If they can't prescribe anything there is no charge) and well worth it. An urgent care visit would have been three times as much, plus the wait and stress on my kiddo. Absolutely an excellent experience. read more

While in San Francisco I came down with one of the worst sinus infections I've ever had---my teeth were hurting and I couldn't eat! I had a class commitment until late enough on Saturday that all the local urgent care center were closed. I didn't want to go to an emergency room, yet I couldn't wait. This was super convenient! I had a bad cold that developed into a sinus infection and I was really suffering. I had severe facial pain and headaches. I knew I needed an antibiotic to clear up the infection but I have Medi-cal and therefore no regular doctor. There were no appointments available in any of the 5 clinics in my plan for the next 3 days and since I work and have a toddler, I was not going to wait in the emergency room in order to get antibiotics. My friend told me I should call TeleCure and I didn't hesitate. The receptionist got my name, phone number and preferred pharmacy location and said the doctor would be calling me back in about half hour. The doctor did call me back in about an 1hr and asked me what my symptoms were, she diagnosed me with acute sinusitis and asked a bunch of questions about whether I could be pregnant or had any chronic health issues. Then she sent over the prescription and I picked it up at Walgreens in 30 mins. Boom! It was great! read more

I recommend readers consider an Urgent Care provider which puts as much emphasis on patient outcomes as this care provider puts on collecting your money. I visited this Action Urgent Care location last May after an unexpected bout of persistent nausea and dizziness. Though it took a while to get seen by a doctor (this facility uses telemedicine), the doctor's questions and guidance were on point. I was recommended for a followup visitation, which I went ahead and scheduled. On my followup, I met with a different doctor who seemed not to have any information about the prior visitation available and recommended an entirely different and substantially more expensive approach to a problem (surely requiring additional followups) which by that time had already been solved. I've already been double charged for the first visitation (I paid on site, and my insurance was also billed). This appears to be on the road to being resolved, but I'm now two months later finding that I seem to be about to be double charged for that second substantially less useful visitation. I've already configured a payment through my HSA for the second visit, but it seems Action Urgent Care uses a payment processor "Collectly", which takes advantage of the fact that they already had my payment information from my first on site visit to forcibly schedule an auto payment for this bill which I'm already in the process of paying with my HSA. This payment processor provides no means to cancel the automatic payment. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this urgent care location check on their BBB accreditation status. As mentioned by other reviewers, Action Urgent Care's billing practices are questionable. The quality of the care providers also seems to be somewhat hit-or-miss. read more

The doctor misdiagnosed my condition and made me take something for 10 days which of course didn't cure my problem. I had to get it checked at Stanford to know that I was completely misdiagnosed. Not sure how and why the reviews are great but completely misleading. Made me wait for 30 mins over my appointment in-spite of being 15 mins earlier for the appointment. Then the doc took 3 mins to diagnose and done. 10 days gone and it didn't go away to only know that it wasn't the case. Don't trust this doc or this facility. read more

My fiancé and I are on vacation in another city and my fiancé woke up with an abscess behind his ear, causing him lots of pain. I found this service on yelp and gave them a call, not realizing that everything is done over the phone and email.. And I have to say that I was amazed at the level of service provided. This was my first experience with using urgent care service and I was quite impressed with the service at Action Urgent Care. I had a skateboarding accident in the afternoon where I effectively face planted and my upper teeth punctured through my lower lip. A coworker found this urgent care which was close by, so I headed over and they saw me immediately (after about 10 mins of new patient paperwork). Dr Nubia Steffen-Daguia examined me and she took her time in carefully anesthetizing and stitching up my lower lip which was quite a mess. She warned me that my mouth will likely get infected since the mouth is far from sterilize, so she prescribed me some antibiotics and scheduled me to remove the sutures after 10 days. Thankfully for Dr Steffen-Daguia careful attention to stitching, my stitches exhibited little problems with infection. After 10 days later, she removed the stitching and besides some minor swelling you wouldn't be able to tell that I even had that accident. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service I received from Dr Steffen-Daguia at Action Urgent Care. read more

Please do not visit here if you really need urgent care. I was diagnosed with Appendicitis and in that pain I was sitting there. My mom accompanied me and she requested the assistant multiple times to first let a doctor see me since I have already provided my insurance and credit card information but she did not listen to that. I was throwing up and was almost fainting. After 45 mins she took me in and kept me waiting in the room for the doctor to come. My mom again went 3-5 times requesting her to call the doctor soon since I was constantly throwing up but the doctor came after another hour and told me to go to ER. She had no pain killers and did not even provide with a basic medication to survive until I land in the ER. She instead handed me "driving directions" to the ER. Post that, the facility also mis-charged me $225 which when I called them they said were charged by mistake. I do not want any patient to suffer what I did and would sincerely request not to go there./ There are lots of other urgent care express clinics nearby and I would highly advise to please visit there and atleast receive a basic treatment. read more

Horrible! They told me my insurance covered my visit. It was a lie. I had a Skype appointment with a doctor, not even a real appointment, and I got a strep swab taken. This somehow amounted to over $500. I know how much things cost, as I have paid out of pocket before at other doctor's offices. Not even an ER visit would cost $500 unless a lot more samples were taken than a STEP SWAB! I didn't even see a real doctor! THIS IS FRAUD! It makes NO SENSE. This place is a SCAM. DO NOT GO HERE. Now it's months later. I paid off their bill of over $500, have gotten no further mail about it, and somehow I have a derogatory remark on my credit score for a charge I know nothing about and a visit I never had, for $236. It makes NO SENSE! I think they made this up because I put in a complaint about them with BBB, a complaint to which they never responded I might add. No wonder they have an F review on Better Business Bureau. Whatever you do, do not go to this urgent care unless you want to be scammed. I want the derogatory mark removed from my credit score and for them to check their records. My father paid their fraudulent fee. They have no right to do this. read more

This is a really good service, and filling a gap in the health care system. This is basically for when you know that you need a prescription, and it doesn't warrant an office visit. I had a sinus infection, had had one before, and just needed someone to prescribe the antibiotics. It worked exactly as advertised: I called them, they called me back promptly, I spoke with the doctor for a few minutes, she called in the prescription, and it was ready when I got to the pharmacy a few hours later. The doctor asked me all the questions that the doctor usually does when writing a prescription: verification of symptoms, allergies, verification of medications you are currently taking. I did not feel that there was anything shady about it. But remember that this isn't going to be appropriate for everything. If you are confused about what is going on with your health, or you have any symptoms for which you need to see a doctor, you need to see a doctor. Also, this could definitely result in care that you don't need and can impact other people, i.e., overuse of antibiotics (though I myself can't claim any moral high ground on that one). I follow the health care situation pretty closely, and IMHO this is exactly the kind of service we need, to keep costs down and so that doctors have appointment slots for people who actually need them. So be savvy about your health, and use this when you need it! read more

Highly recommend this service. Being sick in bed with the flu, the last thing that I felt like doing is getting up and going to the doctor. Luckily I found this service and was able to speak to a doctor for a consultation and she ordered my prescription to my local pharmacy. This company is amazing. I always hoped I would find a way to treat typical illness (cold, flu, etcetera ) without having to visit my doctor every time and pay heavy copay and insurance claims. From the comfort of my home and resting while feeling sick, I called them, they put me in the "line" and I received a call back in an hour. I am incredibly happy with this service! I was reluctant to use it because I've never heard of it before and it kinda seemed too good to be true: A $25 consult with a physician and if you need a prescription they will send it to your local pharmacy. I asked if there was another way of payment (instead of giving my CC #) and there is currently a yelp deal to get $5 off the service. So, I paid yelp (which I feel comfortable with) and gave Telecure my voucher code. Sure enough I got a call a few minutes later from a doctor and explained my symptoms and she called in my meds to my pharmacy just minutes after that. So, in total, I spent 5 min on the phone and $20 for my consultation. I will take that over a $200 (out of pocket) regular doctors visit any day! This is quick, easy and cheap. This service is amazing!! I got an insect bite that caused a large, swollen rash on my arm. When it didn't get better after a few days, I decided I wanted to get it checked out, but didn't have time to wait at an urgent care center right away. After finding Telecure on Yelp, I decided to give it a try. The service was amazing and the physician prescribed me antibiotics that I was able to pick up at my local CVS.
