I did some extensive shopping around to get quotes from different HVAC system installers and comparing the cost and included services/hardware. Jeremy gave us the best priced quote with the best hardware quality and most services included. He was extremely communicative during our quote collection process and showed initiative of really wanting to work with us. This attitude and care continued through our install and after as Jeremy made sure to check in with us regularly to ensure our satisfaction with the quality of workmanship and hardware technology. When he came out to give us the quote he provided detailed and knowledgeable answers to all my deep questions about the California refrigerant switch and more. Our install days were schedule about 1 week out. On the day of install the 8 man crew including Jeremy came out and got right to work! They tag teamed the entire first day of install and on the second day 2 guys came to finish the job. They stayed late to make sure they got out AC working before the heat wave coming and after having gotten through the heat wave with our AC I can say I'm incredibly grateful they were determined to get it working for us. They then came back the following weekend to make final touch ups and adjust the airflow how we wanted it. And I don't want to forget to mention that we are based 2 hrs+ from the company home base so they made a trek out to us. I told them we needed Freon and was very specific about that, but the man that came didn't even have Freon with him and did nothing and took $200 from me and was at my home less than 5 minutes. The furnace at my son's Frazier Park home was not functioning properly. I called Jeremy at Active Air for an appointment. He analyzed the problem quickly. The furnace had not been serviced for many years. The coil in the furnace was clogged and gas valve required replacement. The entire unit needed cleaning and reassembly. I had also asked for an estimate to replace the 2 ton AC compressor which was not repairable and received a fair estimate for the work. The job was scheduled for just a few days from the initial call. The employees showed up on time, worked hard, did good work, were respectful and left the work area clean. We had an issue this week with our air conditioning system. It was not reaching proper cooling. We contacted Jeremy with active air on Saturday (100° day). He said he would send his team out on Monday. Jeremy called on Sunday and came out that same day. He was able to make repairs and said he would still send his crew out on Monday. As promised Active Air was out Monday morning to verify units were working properly and did a complete maintenance check to make sure nothing else needed attention. I needed air conditioning added to my home in Pine Mountain Club, CA. My dear friends recommended Jeremy at Active Air. I contacted Jeremy and he came out on the day that worked for both of us witthin a few days. Jeremy assessed the situation at my home and found out that we could add AC next to my heating system. Four days later Jeremy sent out his crew of five great guys. They showed up on time ready to get the job done. Everyone of the guys knew their job...it was like a fine oiled machine. A guy came by and looked at the system and said, "the coil is probably rusted and leaking Freon. So, you have to replace the system. Then wanted to charge $150 for his time, he was here less than 10 minutes and refused to confirm anything. Don't fall for his bait and switch. A real company come out. The coil was completely fine. There was a small leak in one of the lines. They fixed it. Also, don't let him lie to you... they have replacement Freon for the R22. They put in the replacement Freon. We are sitting in an ice cold house right now... his 20 years isn't worth anything because he was too lazy to inspect the problem just pitched an $8000 replacement. Also, they give free estimates! But I guess they charge $150 service fee for a free estimate? I am also glad I didn't pay the $150 for him to "think" the coil was bad when another company showed me the coil was good for free!! He wanted to be paid $150 to walk up to the system, say, "it's old." Would you pay a mechanic $150 to say "something needs to be done to the engine" Also, I never cried and I did pay him. He returned on his own to return the money. Which is when he saw a real company fixing the problem! Seriously, he didn't do a single thing!! And look at how he treats potential customers! Wait until you disagree with him!! He will probably blast you as well! We do have a very nice garden and we are renovating 2 closets, a bedroom and the kitchen, so, yes, things are stacked everywhere. That's how renovations go. Glad he likes to judge potential customers!!! He clearly is very upset, he continually txted us while the other company was here. And another point of fact, the other company came twice today with $0 charge! It is a sad fact today, that people want to be paid to do nothing. I could have googled problems with my AC unit, and it would have said, the coil might be bad. I can get that for free. I THOUGHT I was calling a professional to do a job. I called Jeremy at 8 in the morning and promised to be at the house sometime during the day, and called to let us know he was on his way and would be at the house shortly, and this was in the middle of the afternoon and it was quite warm. He arrived and had diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and offered his solutions and recommendations and we went with his recommendations and he had the parts and had the AC running and cooling within 30 minutes. Our air conditioner went out in the middle of 100+ heat. Jeremy came out at 3:00 pm to find out what was wrong. The motor and a fan blade were shot. Our roof mounted HVAC unit quit working after a power brown out. I called our normally wonderful home warranty company, but after 3 calls they were still having issues with their servers, and gave me authorization to find my own service provider. Now it's well after noon on a Saturday, it's over 90° inside my home, and my elderly parents are home with their big furry dog. After calling no less than 12 HVAC companies these guys not only answered, but showed up at the end of a very long day of fixing everyone's problems during a heatwave. Jeremy came out 2/27/19 & today is 3/15/19. Nice guy/knowledgable but zero follow up or follow through. No promised email, call, text or Yelp communication so I am going elsewhere. They apparently do not want to sell or install ductless systems. All I got was criticism for for previous work done and "we are better than that." I said I was getting a second opinion, which I did, due to the quote being 7,950 for a Rheem/Thermal Zone or Goodman. Cost of $85 for service call could be applied to repair. "We can meet any quote but you will not get the warranty we provide (10 years parts/4 years labor). This unit would not work for us because our ducting is not sufficient. read more

When I think of a great customer service and install experience, I find it hard not to think of Jeremy, Charlie and their team at Active!! I usually am very cautious and skeptical of contractors I have not personally worked with, but from the start, Jeremy took my situation (LA Heat Wave) with great urgency - even agreeing to check out my situation the next day. Upon meeting Jeremy, I quickly realized that he seemed very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, cared about the dire circumstance I faced without a working AC. Despite a slight delay in receiving the replacement, the install was actually performed within the exact window he advised. On the day of the install, I met with Charlie who answered all of my questions and concerns, and provided clear explanations of the install process, equipment, wiring, approximate timing and set up etc. Even though I hoped for a faster install (only because I was burning up), I knew the time I took off of work was well worth the wait; especially knowing they were handling multiple urgent projects on the same day. This review is way over due! I found Jeramy on yelp (of course) because my furnace wasn't warming up my townhouse during last year's cold spell. He arrived on time for the estimate and had to crawl up in the attic to take a look. He was completely honest about the job. He told me the pros and cons of both options....to partially fix it or replace the whole thing. Not once did I feel like he was trying to sell me on anything. Active Air came thru for me again. They installed a new Central Air system for me in July 2020. I was very satisfied with their work and how they back up their work. Today they came out after I informed them my heater wasn't putting out hot air and my gas bill skyrocketed about $300 dollars for the month. Jeremy sent out the same two guys who put in my system, Charlie, and Tom. As before they were very professional got my system back up and working. Some bug found its way into a/c circuitry and cause a short which caused it to continuously run which caused ice to form. Like others, Active Air was sent to us by our home warranty company. And just like a vehicle that knocks, our system would work intermittently - on again & off again. Unfortunately for us, the first two times Active Air came by, our system was working perfectly and their hands were tied as, per their contract, there was nothing they could do. I understood their position but I was not happy when for four nights in a row, the AC failed to work. Third time's a charm as the next time Active Air came through, they were able to diagnose our system and repair several components resulting in an estimated $2,000+ in savings. And now, the system works perfectly. I too have had numerous conversations with these guys, both over the phone and at our house. There are very courteous and listened to our concerns. They are very professional and gave us great advice and tips on how to keep our system running efficiently. Bottom line, they fixed our AC system and I am now figuratively and physically able to sleep at night. P.S. I only paid a one time fee of $65 to our home warranty company throughout this entire ordeal. read more

Jeremy is AMAZING!!!! We had a power outage that blew out our thermostat. It got up to 90 degrees in the house on a hot summer day!
