This place is awesome. I've been visiting bend for a few days and it's the only place I'll eat now. I've had a few meals, and everything has been amazing. I had one of the bowls, a burger, wrap, gelato, kombucha mojito and all have been amazing. I also love how eco friendly they are. I can really tell that they are detail oriented with how they do things. Also, thank you for supporting the military and first responders. The food I had here was delicious BUT there was a few things I wasn't happy about. 1- the kids menu is more geared to toddlers... You pay 6$ for a meal and it comes in a very small plastic bowl, my 4 hear old was still hungry and my 10 year old who's a light eater was still hungry. Prices are too high to be very family friendly. For the price you get your main item with a small side of plain corn chips--no salsa or anything to dip them in unless you pay extra. That's just not good business. I ordered the potato tacos and the OG sauce is what made them very tasty but the corn tortillas weren't even warmed up so they were brittle and fell apart. Everyone but my husband gave a thumbs up on their food as far as taste goes. He ordered the BBQ lentil burger and said he had to gag it down. Ordered dinner for delivery but only brought half of the order. We had to wait for the items they forgot, then the food was cold and had to be heated up in the microwave. Went there for breakfast had the chilaquiles and a breakfast bowl. I was a little disappointed with the chilaquiles, the sauce was more of a salsa then a ranchero sauce and I think they forgot the cilantro. Also was loaded with melted cheddar, too much imo. My husband liked the breakfast bowl but said he would have preferred a fried egg vs scrambled, more flavor! We will definitely go back, the food around us looked awesome! I was so excited to find Active Culture on the day of their Grand Opening. They generously served their whole menu at 50% off. Needless to say, I was hooked. I got the Bend rice bowl and chocolate smoothie. Actually, I ordered two of each, so I could have leftovers the next day! The rice bowl is so fresh with a wonderful combination of flavors and textures. It completed satisfies the sweet and savory cravings. And the chocolate smoothie felt decadent and healthy. My son, who is almost one, is always delighted by the outdoor play area - grass, sand, toys and a little two-story house. I went in the other day and got a breakfast bowl and fell in love with their OG sauce. It's just as tasty as Yumm sauce or maybe dare I say even better. So, today I went in and asked for a bottle. The girl looked kinda confused and said that they don't have bottles, but they could sell me 32 oz. Which they did in a rather large to go container. Literally, came home and ate a couple spoonfuls of just the sauce it was that good. Do yourselves a a favor, bottle it up and put it in that nice fridge you have. I know lots of people that buy yumm sauce weekly. For that price and taste I bet they would come to you instead. I'll give you five stars when you bottle it up read more

I have had breakfast at Active Culture two times and lunch three times. Each time I choose something different from their menu. EVERYTHING I have ordered and eaten has been delicious! It is a very family friendly restaurant with a kids' play area inside and outside with climbing structures and swings and a grassy area for them to run around in. I have called and ordered a couple of their bowls to go as well which is a very convenient way to take a portable, delicious lunch with you to the park. Tried the chips and salsa, potato tacos, minestrone soup of the day, very berry smoothie, and ended with the super yummy cora bora chocolate shake. Will have to have the gelato next time!
