Once she came into the room, she was very impatient; in fact, did not greet and my wife, but rather went right into my reason for the visit. She was very quick to provide solutions to my problem, which I was very impressed with. Here's my problem...she did not offer me a chance to express or explore causes for, nor long term remedies for my problems. In fact, she left the room and said that the nurse or whatever her title was, will go over how to apply the remedies she prescribed to me. While she was pleasant, she did not appear to be genuinely interested in me as patient. Absolutely no Customer Intimacy.

I stopped in during the 4th of July holiday week with my three nieces (two little ones and my twenty-something shopping buddy, lol) and we had such a lovely time. Even though it was busy, they made sure we had a comfortable space. Kevin was super accommodating from the moment I booked. He helped coordinate everything so the group could stay together, and I appreciated the attention to detail (also shoutout to Mandy, Diane and V!...our techs for the day). My elder niece and I went with spa pedicures, and I also had dip removal and a nail shape-up on my natural nails. My pedicure was terrific--the leg massage almost put me to sleep in the chair--I was so relaxed and it was just what I needed. My niece also got a manicure and said her experience was good, not mind-blowing, but still enjoyable. The little ones got their nails polished and were happy as can be. The Ulux staff even let them hang out in a massage chair together like "big girls" while they waited for our services to wrap up--adorable. Ulux offers complimentary drinks too: wine, soda, and water. My elder niece and I sipped wine, the girls got a bag of chips from the staff, and it all made for a festive girls' day out. Also, I received a discount as a first time visitor, which was a nice touch. Kevin mentioned they also have a second location in Oak Lawn, which I plan to check out next time. Parking in this area can be a little difficult, so I chose to Uber--definitely a smart move on a busy holiday week. UPS delivered the package to the wrong address and I emailed Joanna Czech asking if they could deliver another hand soap and they said because I didn't select the additional shipping charge that it was against their policy. This company charges hundreds and thousands of dollars for products and services, you think they would want to keep a customer with such a small $50 product but they do not. I also did not see the additional shipping charge feature nor did I see any notice on their site that explains this policy in a way that was easily navigated and clear to the consumer. I've filed a BBB complaint and will continue posting reviews showcasing what happens when you do not cure customer issues. I will also continue showcasing how amazing House of Preservation is as an alternative - they work very hard to respond to customers and earn your business - they're in the same space/same city - give these guys your business vs. Joanna Czech.
