I tried the seafood dirty rice. The rice was cooked well and the seasoned great. They give you a lot of rice, but I wish it had more seafood in it. The people were also very friendly and welcoming. There were a lot of food vendors at the event and they had the most inviting energy which persuaded me to try their food. I will look out for other opportunities to try more of what they offer.

I love supporting local businesses especially when the owner is part of your community. Chef Ava has a remarkable spirit and is a joy to support. She offers a variety of services, private catering, large event catering, weekly meals, kids cooking classes to name a few. Her menu features an eclectic menu with southern and low country influence. I've never had a meal I didn't like! My latest meal that I tried from Chef Ava was fried fish and creamy grits with a banana foster cobbler with vanilla pudding. It was really great! The fish was fried in a cornmeal batter which is my favorite way to eat fried fish. The grits were savory and creamy and paired well with the fried fish. The dessert was a dish I had never tried before but will definitely be requesting it again the next time I get food from Chef Ava. So good! Chef Ava's brick & mortar location is open from 5-10pm on Friday's and Saturday's. Be sure to come out and support!

I like to recycle and do the environmental thing., so I let the young associates peruse through my Nike, Alo, brand names while I shopped. I went through the store for quite some time looking at items from SHEIN, Target, some brand names. I looked for myself and family, I saw a few things I liked, but way overpriced. I literally could purchase new stuff for the same or just a few dollars more. I was disappointed not only about the prices but the selection and quality. I didn't get the hype, as I've definitely found better stuff at thrift stores for cheaper. I do see they appear to cater to the teen and young adult demographic, and maybe that's why they get repeat business. Not for cost savings or quality, because if they'd spend a little time at other thrift stores they'd get more for their buck. I did buy one item that my grand really liked. Of the items I brought in, 90% weren't accepted even though in season, like new, and clean. The 10% they wanted to keep, they offered an insulting amount and I declined selling. When asked why they didn't want the nice brand name items, "just not what we wanted". I did sell all my items on Vintage and all sold for a good price. It's a national chain, so that explains a lot. As for customer service that was lacking. I observed the young adults on cell phones, ignoring customers while chatting to each other and the store needed some attention, as it was dirty and clothes were off hangers or in wrong sections for sizes. I'll skip this one and leave it for young adults who want convenience and not value for their buck.

Quality of flowers were horrible and the delivery guy called my neighbor a fat c@&$ when she came out to see what he was doing. He was driving erratic through our community and instead of knocking on my door he was kicking it. My flowers were on my porch but the stuffed bear was about 20 feet away. I'm assuming he forgot it in his car and just threw it out onto my property. The owner was very rude and actually tried to turn issue around to play the victim. Not to mention the horrible message he sent me. This is the FIRST time I have ever given anyone a bad review. I had to give a star in order to post but they don't even deserve that one.

I was told to come back in three days, Friday the 10th between 1pm and 2pm to pick it up. It was important that it be a wristlet since last year the corsage being pinned to her shirt did not go over well. I returned on the 10th at 1:30pm, receipt in hand. They asked me what I needed, so I said I was there to pick up my corsage. They asked me my name. I told them. The girl went over to the refrigerator, looked at 3 corsages in there and asked me my name again, I told her. She kept going over the corsages in there looking at name tags apparently. She looked at me and asked if I was Mr. Gibson. This was getting stupid. There were no other customers in the store, but there were about 10 people in the back with a guy sitting at the computer table that was so loud it was unbelievable. I went over to the refrigerator to tell her my name once again. The girl grabbed a corsage and said it listed under another person's name and apologized. I could barely hear her since everyone in the back were so loud. So I was handed the corsage and left. I refrigerated the corsage immediately. I live a mile away. On Mother's Day, I drove 16 miles to give Mom her corsage before she went to church. I wanted her to look nice. She opened the plastic container to find the sprays had a tinge of brown around the edges, and not only that, the corsage was pin on one with two long pins, NOT the wristlet I ordered. So once again Mother's Day got screwed up right from jump street. $28.62 for what? This place is a disaster. If you want to get something special for a loved one, GO ELSEWHERE.
