I would honestly recommend considering a different dealership. The staff were friendly and persistent during the sales process, which ultimately convinced me to lease a 2026 Honda Civic Sport. I selected a navy blue vehicle, but after waiting hours for the paperwork to be completed, I was presented with a silver Civic instead. When I questioned it, I was told all of the paperwork had already been completed and would need to be redone if I wanted the correct vehicle. After spending nearly the entire day at the dealership, I felt pressured into accepting the silver car. Within three months, I began having issues with a tire constantly losing air. When I brought the vehicle in, I was told one tire was warped and another had been previously patched. As this was a new leased vehicle, I found that very concerning. Instead of taking responsibility, the dealership attempted to charge me nearly $300 for a replacement tire, offering only a small discount after I complained. Since getting the car, I have continued to experience issues, including the vehicle jerking while driving. For a 2026 leased vehicle, I expected better quality and customer support. Unfortunately, my experience has been that the dealership does not take accountability for problems and has been difficult to work with when concerns arise not only did this dealership put my life at risk they put my two yr old daughter at risk. read more

Where do I even begin? I have been a loyal Honda owner my entire life. I believed in Honda's reputation for reliability and stood by the brand--until now. I purchased my vehicle brand new from Honda and had every single service, recall, and repair done at the dealership. Despite doing everything right, my car failed far earlier than it ever should have. This is a well-known issue with 10th-generation Hondas: premature head gasket failure that costs anywhere from $6,000-$7,000 to repair. I've spoken to multiple independent repair shops, and every single one confirmed the same thing--this problem is common. They see these vehicles come in constantly. One shop even said Honda simply isn't what it used to be, especially with newer models. What's most frustrating is that American Honda is fully aware of this defect and yet refuses to issue a recall or provide meaningful assistance. Owners are left holding the bag for an extremely expensive repair on a vehicle that was supposed to be reliable. Before purchasing any Honda, go check the NHTSA website and review the consumer complaints. You'll quickly see the pattern and the major issues repeatedly reported with these vehicles. Do yourself a favor: don't buy a Honda. And if you already own one, seriously consider getting rid of it before you're stuck with this devastating repair bill. Stick with Toyota instead. I have not once written a review for this kind of situation but I feel I have no choice as it involves the safety for my children and I. I financed a brand new 2025 Civic from Lodi Honda and less than a year a head gasket needed to be replaced while still under warranty. While the major work wasn't done at Lodi Honda it was done through another Honda dealership. Shortly afterward I've had to bring the car to Lodi Honda multiple times for issues that were not present before the major repair. What has been most frustrating is the lack of effort to resolve this issue or reach back out to me. Awesome experience! Night and day difference from Modesto. Greeted at door by calm and understanding young man who carefully listened to me vent, then asked questions to understand my concerns. While I was in the waiting room, he updated me on the status of my car every 30 minutes. Lodi found the problem and fixed it in 2 hours for $421. Modesto had my Honda for 8 days and charged me $7,500. and NEVER found the problem. Will only go to Lodi from now on, they were honest and caring- exactly how a service department should treat a customer. The Honda dealership in Stockton is closer for me but I always go back to Lodi Honda for their prompt service and convenience. I usually take my vehicle for service on Saturday mornings. I make an appointment on line and they take my vehicle right on time. When the service is complete, they are quick to call and notify of the completion and the price of the repairs. These things all seem very elementary and basic on the surface, but with service and craftsmanship not being much of a priority anymore with businesses, Lodi Honda has distanced itself from the competition. read more

When I picked up the car the total cost was $665. He explained to me that there was an additional charge for diagnosis. I expressed my dissatisfaction with him and explained to him when he says TOTAL to someone on the phone then that should be the total. He left to call his manager and returned to tell me that the manager cant do anything about it. I highly doubt that he told the manager the real story. They performed a courtesy service evaluation on one of our civics and found my radar sensor needs replacement (2nd time). Lodi Honda Service Department: My almost 6 year old Honda who isn't quite the road-runner, with about 71000 miles of drive. Had me hanging-out unexpectedly in a neighborhood off a busy street with my little one, smack dab at 8am rush hour, because Life Sucks like that sometimes. And cars need a life break too, I guess. Two thumbs up to salesman Justin as well as management at Lodi Honda. We live in Chico which over 2 hours from Lodi. Oct 2023 I was searching everywhere to buy a new Honda Pilot EX-L AWD in silver. I searched online, did a number of emails and text with dealers and also spoke with at least 4 Honda dealers and most made promises. They all wanted me to physically come into their dealerships and for me to sit down with their salespeople and discuss what I wanted when I knew exactly what I wanted and was willing to pay MSRP (as currently new Pilots are a hot/rare commodity). I was jacked around so much until I spoke with Justin at Lodi Honda. Long story short is we made a verbal deal and he kept his word and management there then didn't try to do add-ons as so many dealers try to do after promises have bedn made. Three weeks after Justin and I agreed on all my Pilot arrived at their dealership and I went there and Justin treated me well and I bought my Pilot. Lodi Honda talked me out of my lease Passport into a purchase of a brand new Honda HRV. The purchase price went from 24,000 to 36,000 and they couldn't explain the difference. The biggest upset was the electrical went out and I took it in to get fixed since I only had the car for a few months and they refused to fix it because they said rats ate the wiring. Google reports 2024 HRV's to have electrical problems, but they won't honor it. Now, normally I might believe something like that but there were no teeth marks and there was no way the rats could have eaten through the black harness case made out of solid material. The cost to me would have been 1700.00 to replace. I was so upset, I continued to drive the vehicle without fixing because I couldn't afford it and didn't believe I was at fault. The other 3 cars at my home don't have that issue. So, 6 months later I came back to have them look again, still said it was a rat and the price went up to 3600 to fix. I refinanced my car through Redwood credit Union and will never ever buy a car from them again. The guys in the service department were rude as well. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE.... read more

Went in for an oil change. My car was done, no one said a word. Juan Sanchez asks how can I help you? I tell him my car is done, then he questions if someone called me? My response "no, it's parked right there". He doesn't say a word and walks away and comes back with a totally different customer, helps her, doesn't say a word. At this point I'm waiting to see how long before he says "give me a sec or let me finish with this customer" who to my knowledge he wasn't helping in the first place and if he was he should have acted professionally and used his words. Time passes he says nothing, sends her on her way and then decides to help me. There's more too but at this point you get the message. Sadly to say my experience with the service department had me in tears, frustration n because this was my third time back I left with my car getting fixed with parts of a used car off their lot so I didn't have to wait yet again. I came here for a car recall, they said it would take half day as they needed to take out back seat to get to fuel pump. N my trunk door was now damaged n they said it was like that when I brought it in. Not OK. I have a case with Honda of America n a complaint with BBB. Take ownership of mistakes, rectify them and you will be more successful. From the service consultant to the technician n service manager you know you did not make it right in the end. Dropped off my Odyssey EX-L 3 weeks ago with the main request to diagnose and fix the intermittently failing sliding doors, which on this car are electrically powered. On drop-off I even demonstrated the issue by pulling on the door handle, and the door right there did not properly open. Three weeks later I needed my car back, but according to the dealership they stated that they did not reproduce the problem even once! Which I find hard to believe - now that I have the vehicle back this issue happens again every few times I try to open one of these damned sliding doors. Sometimes they open with a loud thud and/or ratcheting noise, beeping, etc., sometimes they get stuck an inch or so into opening or closing. According to the dealership these doors don't even generate any diagnostic error codes on failure (that seems to be a pretty poor design by Honda). Before picking up I asked the dealership to at least do a tune-up, which they did. I had mentioned that the A/C emitted some strange smell and was told this could be due to the cabin filter. But they found the filter to be clean, hence did not replace it, but when I picked up the vehicle the smell was still there. When I started the car on pickup the key fob completely disintegrated - no mentioning of this either. This must have happened to the technician(s) before I am sure if it was in such a bad state - the screw that holds it together apparently had broken free. And interestingly, nobody at the dealership had apparently noticed a large crack in my car's windshield - when I dropped the car off there was a crack, but now it was quite a bit larger, so why wouldn't they have offered to replace it? After all my insurance covers for that after a $100 deductible. My service technician was very friendly though, but after all he's not the technician performing the work, so I won't be bringing my car back. read more

Marvin was great, honest, and up front in getting us the deal we wanted.
