I was able to get a quote really quickly over the phone by providing the piano size, distance of the move and number of steps(stairs). The appointment scheduling was very simple. I was given a phone reminder a day before and they showed up on time for the move. My piano and bench were nicely wrapped, carefully moved out of the narrow entrance without touching anything, put on the truck and arrived safely in my new home. I contracted Adagio last weekend to move my upright console piano up into my new manufactured home. When making the appointment, I fully disclosed the fact that this was a manufactured home and that this job would involve taking the piano up six steps and making an immediate 90-degree turn into the house. Somehow this got miscommunicated as six landscape steps up onto a wider porch followed by a 90 degree turn into the house. Not sure how this happened but it did. This resulted in me having to leave my piano outside under my carport for two days until I could get another company to come out (on a rush basis) to do the job. I will say this: I did have Adagio move this piano for me once before and they did a good job. Bottom line: If you have more than one stair leading into your house, then I'd recommend finding a different company. If you have less than that, then Adagio might work out okay for you. read more

For starters they don't even answer their phone because they don't want telemarketers . So the owner asked me some basic questions which I tried to answer and then he asked me how much I paid for my piano or do I mind telling him and I politely said it was none of his business. The reason he asked is because he had a piano for sale? I go back-and-forth with the guy for a few minutes but there's just something off about him. I love this service. They have moved three different pianos for me and charge a reasonable amount for their service. They even moved a small piano from Hollister all the way up to Sunnyvale. We worked with Adagio as a recommendation from a piano tuner. Craig was the one who helped us and did an excellent job moving a 100+ year old Sohmer grand we purchased to our house. His team was very careful, and even did a followup visit to repair a damaged leg on the piano before bringing it upright. Afterwards, he gave us tips for how to clean up the piano, move it around if we needed to move it slightly around the house without damaging it, which parts needed extra attention if we had to move it in the future, and how to operate said grand piano as it is our first. Craig was actually driving by my place and saw that I had my piano in my garage. We had just moved in, and I thought we wouldn't be able to get the piano into the room we wanted. He assured me it would work and left me his number. I'm so glad he did! We set up an appointment and he and his assistant showed up promptly, helped me move around a couple of things, got the piano into the room with no problem, and even tightened the old wheels and replaced a missing wheel and a damaged wheel. We had a great experience with Adagio Piano Moving last weekend. We scheduled the move at 1pm, and by the time I came back home around 1:10pm, Craig already had the piano moved to his truck. He then patiently waited for my husband to move the fish tank for over an hour. We were pretty stressed about the delay, but Craig seemed to be very calm, and comforted us. He even went out his way to help my husband move the fish tank that he didn't even sign up for in the first place. We were very touched. When we got to the new house, he helped us put the piano in the right place, and provided us with the correct floor protectors to protect the hardwood floor. The piano was moved smoothly without any incidents. Craig was kind, and very easy to talk to even with the hearing problem that he has. By the way, he IS very responsive with text messages. I got a response from Craig even on Sunday to reschedule the move. We will ask Adagio again in a few months when we move to our permanent house. read more
