Haven't eaten the food but I'm giving it five stars for the great atmosphere and because it looks like a large tipsy turtle for those of you from Springfield Missouri. Ive tried this bar a few times before making a review and asked for the same waitress by the name of letrice and the second time was worse then the first. She came after 45 minute wait for drinks and the bar was not even full. The place has decent prices but not a friendly staff. She was rude when I went to ask for service from the get go because i interrupted her playing pool. To top it off my friends and I saw her drinking while on the clock behind the bar. Very unprofessional. SO if you want good service please do not go there. If I was her boss Id give her the boot. read more

Adair's is a fun bar in the classic Dallas sense. It feels like a bar straight out of the Dallas soap opera. It's what people from out of state probably picture all of our bars to be like. I like most of their live music. I'm a sucker for good rock-a-billy. The prices are cheap which is nice. Unfortunately some of the staff are rude and there are a lot of weird rednecks who show up. One has to wonder, how do they even find Deep Ellum? Anyways, it's definitely worth trying out to see what you think. An absolutely amazing dive bar. Adair's is a true dive with pretty much every surface you can see covered in scribblings from past customers. There was a solid country cover singer when I went, who covered "real" country music, not the newer, pop-ish stuff. There is a shuffleboard table and golden tee to keep you busy if you want, and the bar staff was incredibly friendly. Great low key bar, when all the bars a pack to the max in Deep Ellum, Adairs is usually not as packed. Often the have live texas county playing while you talk, drink, dine or dance! Burgers are delicious, shuffle board & some buck hunter. Write on the wall, the table or anywhere you can find a spot but mostly taken up. I recently went here with my boyfriend on a double date with his cousin and his wife. This was a really great place to hang out for this occasion especially! The atmosphere is cool, low-key and vibrant. There is a shuffle board table so it gives you things to do besides sit around and get smashed. The night we went they had a live band, not sure if this is a regular thing or not but it was nice! A little loud at times, but not too bad. If you do want to chat and be social I suggest going towards the back. The staff there is super friendly too! You also can sign your name with sharpies all over the entire bar which is fun for couples or even a birthday party or group of friends celebrating something to "mark the date" (girls eat that stuff up, you know!). We ate dinner at Cane Rosso so I can't comment on the food but my boyfriend has said nothing but positive things about it. Definitely would recommend it for a fun night out for just the guys, just the girls, or both! read more

This is a great place. Authentic and real - you have no soul if you are uncomfortable here. But let's get down to the real reason I'm reviewing this venerable Bar, I don't drink much these days, but I love cheeseburgers...and this place serves one of the best in the country in my opinion. If you are ever downtown and have a little time to listen to a jukebox, have Lone Star beer and enjoy one of the best burgers ever - hit up Adair's Saloon and don't look back! read more

Just recently discovered Adair's, and I'm kicking myself in the ass for never coming sooner. This is my new favorite go-to neighborhood bar. I daydream about Adair's while I'm stuck at the office. It's dark, dively, and Texas true - absolutely perfect. Live music every night, no cover. Great for dancing or just listening. My friend and I are here at least once a week, usually more. When we go to other bars, we will inevitably look at each other at some point and say sadly, "I wish we at Adairs." read more

Where to begin with this place. Everything was bad. We had a party of 6 and the burger was recommended from one of our friends. We asked for condiments on the side but ended up w mustard anyway. We ordered the egg on top over easy and the yolk was hard. The burger was actually the best thing there. It was juicy but had no real flavor otherwise. My sister n law found 2 individual hairs. One in her food and one on the top of her beer. The cook had a mountain man style beard which had food all in it. We ordered the tater tots w cheese and they literally threw a slice of cheese on top and put it in the microwave. Terrible! I asked for a side of ranch and i got sour cream and onion dip and they said it was their house ranch. It didn't even move it was so thick. My sister ordered the sliders and burnt thre top of the bread. I'm not even gonna really complain about the $4 can of bud light cuz it is downtown. I took a solo trip to Dallas recently and decided to stop by Adairs Saloon as I had previously visited and had a good experience. See below the email I sent to management: "Hello, I was recently visiting Dallas last weekend and wanted to hear some live music. On a previous trip to Dallas I remember hearing some great music at this bar so I looked up who was playing and after listening to some of his songs before hand I decided I would stop in again. I was really excited, I travel alone often and one of my favorite things to do is listen to live music. I get to Adairs and present my ID card to the bouncer. I have an Oregon ID and if you change addresses in Oregon, instead of reissuing the card they give you a white label to put over your old address. My ID has had weird looks in the past, but normally if I inform whoever it is about the rule or present a credit card also issued in my name they realize its not a fake ID. Now I am 100% aware that this bouncer was only doing his job. I appreciate that especially after working in a bar myself. I saw the event nearby with what looked like a party of younger underage people so I image he was keeping an eye out for people from that party trying to get in. What bothered me about this situation is how he handled it. He could have just said "This looks fake to me." And sent me on my way. Im not one to push back on those types of situations. But instead he chose to say "This looks fake as fuck, get out of here." I honestly thought he was joking. I responded with "are you serious?" Because I truly thought that he would of been more professional about it had he been serious. But no he was serious and proceeded to tell me to "get the fuck out of here." Best hamburger I've had so far! Apparently I've had a few of these in the past but don't remember - it happens!. But I remember this one! No cheese and a fried egg on top. Great combination of bread to meat as it stays intact and you can literally taste the meat. Only been in here once with some overly intoxicated pals who may not have even noticed the drawing on the walls but did elect to spray ketchup into 'cock and balls' shapes on our table, as well as my dress. Food was immediately ordered in an attempt to prevent what seemed to be impending alcohol poisoning. We got a grilled cheese and a chicken sandwich. The place was busy, but it didn't seem to take that long to get the food. I remember the chicken sandwich being good - I think I devoured the entire thing myself before even trying to force my drunk friend to eat. She was unable to hold the half grilled cheese in her hand, dropping it onto the floor listlessly. Once she realized it was on the ground, she retrieved it, only to attempt to force feed the floor-food to her significantly less intoxicated husband. He refused, so she put it in her underwear. A few minutes later, after harassing some people standing at the bar who were trying to order drinks, she retrieved the crotch-floor-sandwich and, well, you can guess what happened next. While neither her husband nor I were super thrilled with our experience at Adair's, our issues were with his wife, not the establishment. The goods and services rendered by Adair's were just what the doctor ordered - perfectly greasy + cheap food, and somewhere to sit and blend in while my friend sobered up enough to go outside and not get arrested for drunk in public. I came by for an early happy hour and so enjoyed myself! ...until the night shift bartender showed up. After the complete lack of any acknowledgement of the bar full of guests by said night shift bartender, names Amy, she took it upon herself to berate the daytime bartender, who had been so greatly attentive and pleasant and had made our experience so memorable, that she was relieving, and she did so in front of a full bar of guests. As a fellow bar manager, I am disgusted. I would never employ anyone that displayed the actions I witnessed tonight and I pity the poor daytime bartender that had to endure the demeaning embarrassment that we, as bar guests, witnessed. An employee like this will only run off any quality employees you may have the chance at and squash the opportunity of creating return patrons. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I sat there all night enjoying myself and paying for drinks all night long. Come closing time, they kicked me out without even letting me close out my tab. I turned around to try to recover my credit card and close the tab and they refused me! I took LITERALLY (yes, *actually* literally) took less than five steps out of the bar before turning back, but they didn't care. "Got a plane to catch in the morning? Who cares. You're on our schedule now!" I knocked on the door and tried to explain my situation - and had them threaten to call the cops on me, simply for trying to pay my tab. This is a bar that will delight taking your money, and then throw you out on your @$$ when they can longer profit off of you. Stopped at Adair's on Saturday during our weekly bars on bikes tour and had lunch. Now if you've never been to Adair's its a hole in the wall. There is a live music stage that have really great acts on the weekends and a sweet shuffleboard table plus golden tee. The cool thing is there are a ton of marks-a-lot markers at the bar and you're allowed to write wherever you want, and people do. Anyhow, I ordered the cheeseburger and steak fries and was impressed. It was a baseball size patty with onions, lettuce, pickle and tomato topped with cheddar cheese and a jalapeno. It was money! The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were actually cooked on the grill and had a nice char to them. Another cool thing about this spot is that they serve beer in a can! read more

How to have fun in Dallas on a Monday night when you're by yourself on a work and melancholy because you haven't seen your dog children for a few days: -Hit up Adair's Saloon; -Enjoy some Duck Dynasty-looking motherfucker do soulful renditions of Johnny Cash tunes in a setting that looks like what movie executives envision when they read "Scene: Dive Bar"; -Continuously marvel at the singer's beard, which would easily put him at the top of the Amish food chain, assuming the pecking order is determined by beard fights, which I can only imagine it is; -Tense up when someone references Duck Dynasty and the singer actually gets a little mad, which is like, okay I understand how it could be annoying but you wake up every day and consciously make the decision to continue looking the way you do, so references to Duck Dynasty sort of come with the territory; -Order like ten drinks and a meal for yourself; -Pay $37.66; -Repeatedly ask the bartender if the bill is right because you're fucking hammered but you can still do basic math and factoring in the burger and totz you ordered each drink was like two dollars and that just seems like a bad business model and you need this bar to stay around for future work trips. read more

I don't hang at Adairs often because I always think of it as a country bar dive honky tonk type place and that is usually not my thing. However, in the past few years I'd say that has become more and more my thing and I've found myself at Adair's on two separate random occasions now and I can honestly say yeah, it is pretty good! They have strong drinks. They have good bartenders who may or may not be friendly. However, they will still bring you your drink quickly. Strange and sometimes sketch patrons (which is always an entertaining thing if not always a good thing) mixed in with regular folk and some good ol boys. If you like beer in a can and strong mixed drinks then it doesn't matter, you are welcome. You can write your drunken poetry or "NICKIE-N-STEVEP" on the wall all day long in magic marker. It's got that divey feel that just makes you want to say "I'll have ONE more" even though you have to be at work in 5 hours. The live music usually leans toward country every time I've been there so if you only like to rock out then you might want to check. But last night the band was playing "Swingin" - you kick that old skool country - and it made me almost want to get up and dance while yelling YEEEHAAAW!
