My friend suggested this place as having good burgers. We are both from Texas so I had something in mind as perfect. The burger here was large juicy and tasty - spot on. Reminded me of the perfect lake burgers of my childhood. Small dark dive bar near it'll do dance club.

Here's the deal. These guys are trying to make the best of a new place that was going to be the shit; but then they had to fit into the covid standards, and try to survive. Granted I love Mark and Joel so I'm a little biased. Both these mother fuckers have given us a safe space with the COVID rules to get food and a safe space to hang out. Masks always required. My friends don't like the bar stools on the bar, but I get it, just makes people remember to space out. There's a pool table in the back and a huge patio to get all the space you need...cuz remember COVID. The food menu is usually open so get to go, curbside, etc

I peeked in at The Peak Inn last night! Thanks to KA for hosting a very successful UYE, I now can brag that I had the best $5.50 burger in Dallas. Where else you can get a delicious and cheap cheeseburger while sitting by the fire in a room with exposed brick? Only at The Peak Inn ;) Beers are cold and they also have decent selection of whiskeys and other spirits. I had their Lil Kahuna Burger (beef, American cheese, housemade Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, onion, and pickles) served on a somewhat sweet bun which complement the salty and tangy flavor of the meat, cheese and slaw. (Drooled a little while typing that) Check out this new spot, Uber/Lyft if you live in the area. Plenty of street parking around the area if you get there early enough before a big crowd later in the night.

The latest cozy neighborhood pub! I dig it..it has all the elements that make me want to have a extra beer. It's dark , good juke box and great spirits! Parking: Plenty of street parking all around. Or just uber/lyft.

Here for a drink but grabbed food. The Cherry Cricket Club is perfect!

Great day time atmosphere. Chill no frills. Perfect nook for a hideaway and mental break

I am in love with this place, and so happy it opened near our neighborhood. It's a spacious mellow dive bar. My main obsession is their cheeseburger... especially the Big Kahuna (it's gotta be good if shares its name with the burger from Pulp Fiction). I've been on the hunt in Dallas for the best burger and this one is in my top three. It's ridiculous. Homemade thousand island, skillet grilled, buttery bun the best part of all. The burger is 6 bucks. Goddamn. No burger should be over 10 bucks and they get it. I'm addicted. There's always parking, the staff is super nice, gender neutral restroom, the pool table is new, and the juke box has a solid selection.

How can you argue with that? You can't. Solid. - spicy chicken strips: these were good but nothing special. What was special were the sauces this came with. Aside from that, we felt the chicken was kinda dry. Very crispy though. - bourbon bread pudding: Just Good.

After requesting a water to go, we were unexpectedly accused by the bartender, Jake, of placing an alcoholic beverage into a to-go cup. The accusation was embarrassing, unnecessary, and made even more uncomfortable by the fact that it was made publicly and without cause. To be fair, the manager on staff handled our complaint regarding Jake professionally and with care, which we truly appreciated. However, the situation itself left a lasting negative impression. As professionals in the criminal law and medical fields, we value professionalism, discretion, and respectful communication. Being wrongly accused in that manner was disappointing and frankly humiliating. Because of this experience, we will not be returning anytime soon, despite what had otherwise been an enjoyable evening.

Okay!!! Las Palmas has officially been added to our work trip dinner rotation!! No…read morereservation...just a walk party of 6 and they had a table for us...as long as we could be out by a certain time...about an hour and a half after we walked in. We were there to eat so if they were going to wine and dine us in that amount of time, we were there for it!! Everything was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks and we are so glad we found this location and made it happen! I was looking forward to dinner here the entire day and it was worth it!! We had the queso blanco...it's got a kick...worth it! My wagyu fajitas were perfectly cooked medium rare and soooo flavorful!! I was my dessert in my pjs back at the hotel...the sopapilla cheesecake and ice cream held up perfectly and was everything I wanted it to be!! It's a dark atmosphere in the bar area, but the vibes were so cool. It wasn't too loud to where people were having to scream to converse...but it was not intimate where you could talk across the table softly with the other person hearing. We are still talking about Las Palmas days later and can't wait until we are back in Dallas to bring more of our group here to enjoy delicious food and great service!!

I came here for my birthday dinner with a couple of friends and overall had a really great…read moreexperience. A few important notes though: this place is SUPER loud, especially upstairs, so if you are trying to take your older parents somewhere for a nice dinner where you can actually catch up and have a conversation, this might not be the spot. Also, avoid the upstairs dining room if anyone has mobility issues. The stairs are a little sketchy in that dark space because you basically have to TRUST there is another stair step in front of you even though you can't see it. And a heads up, do not wander into the wrong bathroom upstairs like my husband did because the "men's" and "ladies" signs upstairs are also nearly impossible to read in the dark! But honestly, those are really my only complaints... The service and food were both very good. We had a couple of ordering fumbles. We got the regular queso, and then immediately watched another table get the tableside flaming queso and we were seriously bummed. Like, really bummed. That is definitely what I will be ordering next time. The chips and smoky salsa were excellent!! - and I always appreciate when everyone gets their own little portion of salsa so everyone can double dip without feeling like a heathen. I ordered the wagyu fajitas (the half portion), and it was still easily enough food for two people. I will say the meat was more like a filet mignon texture and less like the flavorful fajita meat I was expecting. My friend's pork fajitas were actually much better and had more flavor. When the manager stopped by to check on us, I had to announce my own birthday because apparently my friends were not going to help me out with that (some friends, huh?). They brought out a complimentary sopapilla cheesecake with a candle, which was a very nice touch. All in all, I loved the place and totally understand the hype. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. There is valet parking, but we found easy parking across the street. I cannot wait to come back and try that flaming queso!
