Amazing amazing food. One of the best burgers I've ever had (Tx cheeseburger, double, add bacon). Delicious 1/4 lb hot dog - more like a good smoked sausage. Fantastic fries. Fantastic side salads. And without question the best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten in my life the motherclucker, sub fried chicken for the grilled). I'm having kind of a visceral reaction just typing about it. Here's the deal. These guys are trying to make the best of a new place that was going to be the shit; but then they had to fit into the covid standards, and try to survive. Granted I love Mark and Joel so I'm a little biased. Both these mother fuckers have given us a safe space with the COVID rules to get food and a safe space to hang out. Masks always required. My friends don't like the bar stools on the bar, but I get it, just makes people remember to space out. I peeked in at The Peak Inn last night! Thanks to KA for hosting a very successful UYE, I now can brag that I had the best $5.50 burger in Dallas. Where else you can get a delicious and cheap cheeseburger while sitting by the fire in a room with exposed brick? Only at The Peak Inn ;) Beers are cold and they also have decent selection of whiskeys and other spirits. I had their Lil Kahuna Burger (beef, American cheese, housemade Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, onion, and pickles) served on a somewhat sweet bun which complement the salty and tangy flavor of the meat, cheese and slaw. (Drooled a little while typing that) Check out this new spot, Uber/Lyft if you live in the area. Plenty of street parking around the area if you get there early enough before a big crowd later in the night. read more

There food will blow your mind, it's SO good! The menu is standard bar food but the quality is outstanding. The fries and ranch are not what you get at any other bar or restaurant, they're the best. The staff is groovy also. I recommend this spot for those that are not in a hurry, those that may be industry or maybe just understanding of those that work in the industry. Literally a place where if you are of any race or color other than Caucasian your turned away and not getting served. Walked in asked about getting something to eat and only to be told by the bar tender he wouldn't help us since he claims his the bar tender and chef all at once and it would take too long which was a lie since I saw a cook. Glad we didn't spend a dollar here. Be cautious when going as you won't be approached and if you approach the employee he ignores you for a long time. read more

I am in love with this place, and so happy it opened near our neighborhood. It's a spacious mellow dive bar. My main obsession is their cheeseburger... especially the Big Kahuna (it's gotta be good if shares its name with the burger from Pulp Fiction). I've been on the hunt in Dallas for the best burger and this one is in my top three. It's ridiculous. Homemade thousand island, skillet grilled, buttery bun the best part of all. The burger is 6 bucks. Goddamn. No burger should be over 10 bucks and they get it. I'm addicted. There's always parking, the staff is super nice, gender neutral restroom, the pool table is new, and the juke box has a solid selection. read more

The burger looked great! However, the atmosphere was not so great! The windows are blacked out and the lighting is so dark you could easily trip and fall. They have a patio and back room with a pool table, big screen tv, and jukebox but people tend to be selfish with the pool table. There are a few menus in which to order their food but they tend to disappear or get misplaced quickly. Hunting for a menu when you are starving detracts from the entire experience. I would say the management is a chaotic style which, is seriously surprising considering the owners are the folks who brought us Adair's Saloon and The Elbow Room. Oh how I miss The Elbow Room. There supposedly was an issue with their payment system that supposedly caused my credit card to be charged twice even though I paid cash. I gave my credit card because they said it was required and easier for them to keep track of orders. If you are a seasoned business owner you should already have the system close to perfect and have processes and back ups in place. I tried to get them to reverse the charges because I had my CASH RECEIPT and they refused and kept telling me to wait for the charges to drop off. They didn't drop off! I had to dispute them and kill a bunch of trees with all the paperwork I had to fill out with the dispute. All of this could have been avoided had they been better business managers and better attitude towards their customers. The Peak Inn tries too hard to be a dive bar and just falls short on every aspect. Not sure if it's the location, the owners, or eveyone else who patronized the place but I was very UNCOMFORTABLE the entire time. Karma do your thing! read more

A hidden gem, the perfect dive bar. My friends and I all work in the service industry so we get out of work late. This is the perfect spot for all of us to unwind after a long shift. The food is excellent, and I happen to be a chef by trade so I'm one of those people that really really cares about the quality of food, even at a bar. Marc the bartender is just so nice and cool, and he gives us A+ service every time. Coming from a bunch of servers, that means a lot. There is a pool table and lounge area that feels very comfortable and homely, and the outdoor patio in the back is just the best. A nice fire pit and comfy seating. We spend a lot of time out there. I just love this place, it has become like the show "Cheers" for us. Stop by and show them some love, promise they won't disappoint. read more

I called this new establishment to gain more info about the venue and I spoke with Mark. Mark was very dry, rude and not helpful at all, even said "we don't play music here". What kind of new bar doesn't play music to gain more attraction for new customers and tourists. I asked if there was a manager or owner available and he advised me they come and go. After that he hung up in my face. If I got treated like this over the phone, I can only imagine how I would be treated in person. I'm so glad I didn't waste my time or money. They tend to get an interesting eclectic group at the bar which has made for some terrific conversations.
