My first purchase was thru Door Dash... loved what I got but had a suggestion for a possible improvement. They called me a few days later.. had some of my suggestions available for me. OMG what was good was even better. Even more important, they listened and actually considered and used my idea. I can't wait for my next visit. Yemeni/middle eastern coffee shops have been trending in Birmingham lately and for good reason. They're full of variety and quality. Think of the most delicious pastries , teas and coffees, ice creams, crepes etc. Adam and Eve is the place you order plenty of things to share with a group. There's plenty seating to suit what you're in the mood for. There's comfy chairs, regular tables and booth style seating. You order up front and your order is called out. I ordered a Dubai croissant and a Yemeni tea. The croissant was filled to the brim with cream. It was delicious. I wish the pistachio was mixed a little more with the chocolate, instead of half and half however. It was still delicious. The Yemeni tea was amazing. It will be my go to drink from Adam and Eve on a cold or overcast day. It was soothing and paired perfectly with a sweet treat. read more

I came here one night with friends for dessert. We each chose one and shared. We had a banana pudding croissant, Oreo cheesecake, and Biscoff cinnamon roll. The Oreo cheesecake was my favorite of them. It was nice trying a little something of everything. The atmosphere inside was nice and inviting. Tucked right in the heart of Five Points, Adam and Eve Café is an absolute gem that checks all the boxes -- friendly staff, modern and comfortable seating, and an impressively clean, inviting space. The first thing you notice walking in is the fresh display of fruits and vegetables used for their smoothies -- everything looked vibrant and thoroughly cleaned, which gave me instant confidence in their quality and freshness. I ordered the Five Point Sandwich, made with roast beef, Swiss cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce, onions, roasted peppers, and jalapeño tomatoes (yes, jalapeño tomatoes -- and they were delicious). Everything came perfectly balanced and fresh on warm pita bread. We also tried the Dubai Croissant (available with pistachio, Nutella, or creamy pistachio filling), and it was so good I completely forgot to take a photo. It's easily one of their bestsellers for a reason -- flaky, rich, and absolutely decadent. For the quality, freshness, and generous portions, the prices were completely fair. Between the service, the atmosphere, and the food, this place deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. This was my first time trying Adam and Eve, and I was impressed with their large pastry selection. I went with some friends and was able to snag bites of a variety of items. While I didn't order any pastries myself, I tried bites of the Cinnamon Roll, Biscoff Cannoli, and the Tuscan Panini. The Cinnamon Roll was alright, nothing out of this world. The flavor of the cannoli was delicious, but the outside wasn't crunchy like cannoli should be. The Tuscan Panini was very good and was served warm. I ordered the Antioxidant smoothie and added protein powder. I got the smallest size and it was $12. It had apple juice, bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. I could've easily made this at home, so next time I would choose something different. The interior here isn't anything special. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Lots of single-use materials are used here. I'd love to see the business opt for reusable materials and perhaps spruce up the dining area and bathroom. Overall, I love that they have plenty of vegan/vegtrain food options and a large selection of pastries (however, I do question the freshness of the baked goods). So far I've tried their sunshine smoothie, cinnamon roll and their Yemeni tea. The smoothie was okay. I felt like it needed something or the proportions were off. It has orange juice in it but it tasted like too much orange juice. The cinnamon roll was delicious!! I was hoping with the tea it could be modified with nondairy milk but it couldn't be. I still tried it and it was delicious but I couldn't have too much of it because of my lactose intolerance. Later I learned it's probably made in huge batches so that one is on me. The reason I said maybe is because I wish they offered a chai latte or something that's not coffee, matcha or one of the regular teas. I'm not a coffee person and lactose intolerant so the one delicious option is one that can't be modified. I also wish they offered some nondairy ice cream options. I guess I was thinking they're known for having a lot of vegan items so that would extend to ice cream as well. I'm not giving up hope though of finding a drink I'll like there. I'll keep trying. The place is nice and it's a cool spot in Five Points. read more

Very accommodating owner & staff helped us create bowls that would work for our dietary needs. The place is spacious with a cozy coffee shop vibe, near (on?) the UAB campus. It's all metered street parking so it was tough finding a spot (especially on a Saturday night), but we finally lucked out. We both had the BBQ Tofu Sandwich but made into a salad. The tofu had a great umami flavor and the onions were grilled till soft, just the way I like them. I had my usual matcha latte with no sugar or flavored syrup and the owner was concerned I wouldn't like it because it wasn't sweet. Haha I told him no I like it that way. He was skeptical but I assured him it would be fine, and it was! Hubs had a coffee latte and it was equally good. Recommend! read more

Had book club with the girls here and it was a nice quaint shop. There were so many options that I was becoming a bit overwhelmed. Decided on the strawberry matcha and it was delectable. Tried this out for the first time for lunch. You order at the register and there are plenty of seating options with tables and comfy chairs. Starting off with the lattes they were delicious. The best pistachio latte I've had since they use pistachio cream instead of syrup. My sister got a smoothie and it wasn't super flavorful kinda just tasted like apples. We got two sandwiches and both were delicious and warm. To finish up we got the Dubai strawberry cup which was good but they were too light with the chocolate and pistachio cream. I have only tried the dubai chocolate strawberries, but they are DELICIOUS! The ambience in there is so cool and nice, whether you sit at a table of on the sofa at the grass wall. They are very nice and inviting and fast! I really want to come back and try some coffees. Their hours are great too because they are open later than most coffee shops around town.
