My wife & I were in the mood for sandwiches. When we looked up Adam & Eve Cafe, the food looked good & the prices were very reasonable. Think of the most delicious pastries , teas and coffees, ice creams, crepes etc. Adam and Eve is the place you order plenty of things to share with a group. There's plenty seating to suit what you're in the mood for. There's comfy chairs, regular tables and booth style seating. You order up front and your order is called out. I ordered a Dubai croissant and a Yemeni tea. The croissant was filled to the brim with cream. It was delicious. This was my first time trying Adam and Eve, and I was impressed with their large pastry selection. I went with some friends and was able to snag bites of a variety of items. While I didn't order any pastries myself, I tried bites of the Cinnamon Roll, Biscoff Cannoli, and the Tuscan Panini. The Cinnamon Roll was alright, nothing out of this world. The flavor of the cannoli was delicious, but the outside wasn't crunchy like cannoli should be. The Tuscan Panini was very good and was served warm. I ordered the Antioxidant smoothie and added protein powder. I got the smallest size and it was $12. It had apple juice, bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. I could've easily made this at home, so next time I would choose something different. The interior here isn't anything special. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Lots of single-use materials are used here. I'd love to see the business opt for reusable materials and perhaps spruce up the dining area and bathroom. Overall, I love that they have plenty of vegan/vegtrain food options and a large selection of pastries (however, I do question the freshness of the baked goods). Very accommodating owner & staff helped us create bowls that would work for our dietary needs. The place is spacious with a cozy coffee shop vibe, near (on?) the UAB campus. It's all metered street parking so it was tough finding a spot (especially on a Saturday night), but we finally lucked out. We both had the BBQ Tofu Sandwich but made into a salad. The tofu had a great umami flavor and the onions were grilled till soft, just the way I like them. I had my usual matcha latte with no sugar or flavored syrup and the owner was concerned I wouldn't like it because it wasn't sweet. Haha I told him no I like it that way. He was skeptical but I assured him it would be fine, and it was! Hubs had a coffee latte and it was equally good. Recommend! read more

The best pistachio latte I've had since they use pistachio cream instead of syrup. My sister got a smoothie and it wasn't super flavorful kinda just tasted like apples. We got two sandwiches and both were delicious and warm. To finish up we got the Dubai strawberry cup which was good but they were too light with the chocolate and pistachio cream. So far I've tried their sunshine smoothie, cinnamon roll and their Yemeni tea. The smoothie was okay. I felt like it needed something or the proportions were off. It has orange juice in it but it tasted like too much orange juice. The cinnamon roll was delicious!! I was hoping with the tea it could be modified with nondairy milk but it couldn't be. I still tried it and it was delicious but I couldn't have too much of it because of my lactose intolerance. Later I learned it's probably made in huge batches so that one is on me. The reason I said maybe is because I wish they offered a chai latte or something that's not coffee, matcha or one of the regular teas. I'm not a coffee person and lactose intolerant so the one delicious option is one that can't be modified. I also wish they offered some nondairy ice cream options. I guess I was thinking they're known for having a lot of vegan items so that would extend to ice cream as well. I'm not giving up hope though of finding a drink I'll like there. I'll keep trying. On Tuesday after my class at UAB I decided to eat at a vegetarian spot. By me not being a vegetarian I could not think of a place right off, so I googled vegetarian spots near by. While searching for a local vegetarian spot, I discovered a restaurant called Adams and Eve Cafe which is located less than 10 minutes from campus. The name along made me become curious, so I headed straight to the restaurant. I arrived at Adam and Eve Cafe just before noon. Parking was a little difficult, but I managed to find a spot In walking distance. As I entered the restaurant, I was amazed how clean and comfortable the place was. Walking in to the establishment gave you that lounge type feeling. I proceeded to the counter to purchase my order. As I began to order, the staff ensured that I was aware of all of their regular, vegan, and vegetarian options. I ended up ordering a vegan meatball sub with marinara meatball sauce and shredded vegan cheese. The taste wasn't a wow but, nevertheless it was decent. Overall if I had to give Adam and Eve Cafe a rating it would be a 9/10 , please visit and let me know what you all think. The food was amazing. I ordered the vegan chicken salad sandwich. Surprisingly, it was served hot and it was very delicious. With every bite I could not believe it was not real chicken.
