I've come to Adam the Answerman since the early 1990's when I lived in Mesquite. The staff is always friendly and gives solid advice on how to fix ANY appliance. They have helped me out when I felt appliance businesses were overcharging me. Their prices are reasonable. If I can, I take the part that is not working and/or take pictures along with model #, etc. Adam the Answerman has yet to fail me. Recommended from ChatGPT,so I called. Steve answered and was very knowledgeable about the model I needed a part for. It was an older model dishwasher and the parts for the rack were discontinued. He said he had a wheel that would work. I took the whole rack in to make sure the wheel would fit because what I ordered online twice from Amazon did not fit. Joking I asked if he had a lower rack or could order one. He checked his computer and said I was in luck, he had a preowned lower rack for my 33 year old kitchenaid. If you are trying to save money by repairing your own washer/dryer? Steve is your guy. I should've left him a review a long time ago. I've bought dryer belts, motor couplers, and today I picked up a washer inlet hose from him. He's never let me down. His mere existence as a business and him having the parts I need in stock, have probably saved me hundreds of dollars. After hiring a person to fix the dryer and the dryer not getting fixed, I decided to try my hard at fixing my dryer. Went to Sdam the Answer man for parts, and he was SOOOOO HELPFUL with getting the parts together and what else to be aware of that may not work. We purchased our first home (the last of the Non Qualifying Assumptions) in west Garland in 1990. it was the end of the yellow street light era...lol! I first went to Adam The Answerman in 1991. NO RETURNS on anything electrical even if it is still in the box. They don't tell you that nor is there a sign staring that. When they told me the part I needed that was $150 and it was something else that I fixed for $1.25 they would not take it back; Not even at a percentage of purchase price. As it's been stated by numerous reviews ahead of mine, these people have everything you could possibly need. I'm still amazed that they actually have that random little part that I need. Out of about ten times I've needed something from them, the only time he didn't have what I needed was an electrical breaker, but even still, he told me where to go and get it. These guys are great. I had a washing machine quit working last night. Had a repair company out that tried 2 different parts and that didnt work. Then they told me it must be the circuit board. I told them to forget it, I would just buy a new washer. Paid them their service call and went to home depot and ordered $2150 washer a drier. Then I figured I would call ATAM. Long story short, i fixed the washer with about 2 inches of electrical tape. Unbelievable. I will be buying the $10 hose from ATAM and I just cancelled my HD order. I can't say enough good stuff about Adam the Answer Man. Really it's the lady that answers the phone that is the genius. She has told me how to fix just about everything in my house. I even replaced the tumblers in my dryer when it started sounding like it had tennis shoes in it. She made it easy. My husband traveled and repairmen are so expensive. I have called on Adam the Answerman a few times when I was having appliance problems. (Ice Maker issue, Gas Oven that would'nt ignite, Dryer that made Gawd Awefull noise, and such). The people at ATAM know their stuff. If you can provide them with the appliance brand, model number, they can help you with the parts needed to repair, and the instructions on how to do the repair. I have saved BooKoos of bucks using them. They have walked me through the whole process of each project, and if I didnt have all the information they needed, I could just bring the part in and they would match it for me. I know this sounds repetitous to all previous reviews, but if you are the least bit handy and you can take simple directions, you can save a lot by getting your own parts from Adam the Answerman. Bring your part in or call them with brand and model number and they will tell you what you need and give you helpful hints on the install. We moved into our north Dallas home in 1997 and I have repaired a washing machine, icemaker, dishwasher and other items I can't remember. My brother in law who is much handier than myself has also used and thinks what they do is so cool. I was ripped off over $200 by these people. I describe the problem I was having with my furnace in the man guaranteed me over and over that a new gas valve would fix the issue. The first thing I did was replace the circuitboard and guess what the furnace works just fine. Not only did he rip me off he gave me false information and refused to give my money back. We came here looking for a replacement glass top for our cooktop stove that had been cracked. The lady checked and told us that they had the part and was ready to install it the next day but it would cost $302. Very pricey!! She suggested that we might as well get a new stovetop since this part was almost the cost of a new stove. Very nice lady. Any time something breaks down in our home we call Adam the Answerman! We are so blessed to have stumbled upon this awesome business over 17 years ago. He has saved us thousands of dollars. He listens and tells you if your broken down appliance can be repaired, what part(s) you will need and how to install them. Recently our GE Profile side by side just stopped cooling. Needed to replace down draft filters in cooktop in rental-from-hell. Useless Home Depot actually recommended ATAM. Linda is a gem! I was able to order the filters by phone. I shopped here for twenty years but never again. In the last week bought an icemaker from them and some parts to fix a dryer. They said the parts were returnable over the phone prior to picking them up, The first part did not fix the dryer so they sold 2 more parts that might work. No luck. Called today and spoke with John several times as dryer door micro switch had stopped working and dryer would on stay when I opened the door. John said they had the micro switch I needed, and in several other short calls, told me how to take the top of the dryer off. Within minutes, I had the switch out, and it was gunked up. I took a tooth brush and cleaned, and lubed slightly. It worked! I have been using them for years, as introduced by my dad, when younger.
