***DO NOT USE SG APPLIANCE.** Guy came out and I told him freezer is fine but refrigerator was not cold. He opened door took a picture and said it was the compressor and circuit board. And how could you tell by taking a picture. Wasn't here more than five minutes. Said parts will be ordered. I checked on the status on my claim. They CLOSEDM it out and never called me!! Another company came out and thoroughly checked it out. It's the fan that stopped working. Had it been the compressor the freezer would not be working. But the SG guy proved he came out by the picture he took. He didn't give a dam about truly finding out the problem. He got paid for his 5 minutes of time. What a pathetic way to run a business. SCAMMERS! Totally an UNRELIABLE company. If I could have given them no stars I would have. read more

If you have another option other than this company, please choose someone else, I have a brand new fridge and I have my warranty trough this company, this is what has happened so far. 1. tech has been to the house about 4 times and the issue has not been resolved 2. after he tried to repair it, my fridge flooded overnight and my brand new hardwood floors got damaged 3. after confirming the most recent appointment 3 times, the tech called in and the Nate the customer rep and Troy the manager just basically said sucks to suck we will reschedule to another day. so its been well over a month, my problem is still not fixed, I now have new damages because of the "repairs" attempted. and I still don't have a solution. if the problem is solved on the next visit, I can consider updating the review, otherwise please stay away from this company read more

First you must know they are NOT open on the weekends regardless of what Lowes states! I had a washer warranty claim through Lowes! They set an appointment schedule 8am-12noon on a Friday. He showed up at 11:35, took a pic of the washer then left in less than 5min! I had to take off work loosing a whole day for that! They are very inefficient as they could have asked me to FaceTime that! They should have come with the circuit board! The tech "Efrin" said he "has to order part and set another appointment another day"! He showed no professional nor friendly manners. Nor did he show any care whatsoever I had to take a 2nd day off work! If you work during the hours they have available for your city, you will be out of luck! They refuse to try to accommodate a work schedule NO MATTER WHAT! 2 weeks without a washer! The final appointment they set again on another Friday, 8am-12noon showed up at 10:40 without calling the 30 min ahead as their operator said he would do. Efrin called at 10:30am said "he was on his way", showed up in 10min! Efrin had an attitude! I had a male adult there over the age 25 to let him in! This time he installed and left before 11am... less then 20min! Be aware of this if you have to take time off work! This Efrin tech was NOT at all friendly and professional as Ned who took the call and set the appointments! I pray I do not have any further issues as I will not be interested in working with this company ever again! read more

Some of the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. Our home warranty company sent these people out to repair our dishwasher, and since they're incapable of fixing it - after their very rude technician sent me into a illness flare with his terrible behavior, they are trying to say it's a hot water issue, when no other parts of our house, including my washing machine, have any hot water issues. Speaking to Whirlpool, they said it sounds like a heating coil. Cameron, the tech, is a rude, abusive human and if he gets sent to your house, I would not let him in. Sam, the person who called me, continued to try and gaslight me, despite all the info I sent. Do not trust or hire these people. read more

We were set up with a service call through Lowe's Service Advantage. These guys called to tell us there was not availability on that day. Hat's off to them for calling. They schedule us for the following Monday from 8-12. We get a call Monday about the tech having an emergency and couldn't come to work. I was furious but my husband tries to be an understanding person, so they scheduled us for Friday from 12-5. Around 430pm, my husband calls to check the status of the technician only to find out that Ned had screwed up and put us on Monday. So, now my husband Curtis has had to take off two half days from work only to be stood up both times. They scheduled again for the next week, and my husband asked to be the first call of the day since they already dropped the ball twice. Ned asked the technician, and the technician said no. Did you get that? The technician runs things, not the boss. My husband asked to speak to the owner, Sam, who had conveniently just left for the day. It's nice he was able to go to work that day since my husband wasn't because he was waiting on Sam's company to show up at our house to which they never did. Ned said he would take the information and Sam would call Monday. My husband hadn't heard anything, so around 330pm, he called them. He was on hold for about 40 minutes only for Ned to tell my husband our service call had been canceled. Did you get that...canceled? No call....no text...just canceled. What a way to do business!! Sometimes when you drop the ball on a customer, you might need to give them certain concessions - especially when the customer has suffered a monetary loss because of that company's actions. Keep in mind, this happened TWICE, simply because they don't care about the customers. By the way, SAM NEVER CALLED US. read more

Had a water issue with the freezer. Water would run down the inside and then freeze. SG technician assessed, knew right away that the Solenoid was bad, ordered the part on his phone, and out the door in 10 min. A few days later arrived with the part, installed in a few minutes, and that was that. Excellent service, the tech was very respectful and friendly. The repair was complete and problem fixed. I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM MORE STARS!!! My 6 year old Speed Queen washing machine started to "act up". Of coarse the warrantee expired at 5 years. SG Appliance Repair was one of the preferred companies listed on Speed Queen's website. Not knowing anything about any of the companies listed, I chose SG because their website was the easiest to navigate. Sam responded immediately. His communication was exceptional. Before I knew it, Sam had my part ordered and an appointment was scheduled. My appt. was scheduled for 12-5. At 10:30 Gary called and said he had a cancellation and ask if he could come early. I was thrilled. Gary was delightful. I felt like he was very knowledgeable on the Speed Queen Brand and the best approach to take regarding my repair. Both Sam and Gary not only met, but, exceeded my expectations!!! I will definitely be using SG in the future and also recommending them to friends and family. read more

The technician was courteous and called to let me know his timing so I wasn't waiting around unnecessarily. Fair and reasonable pricing as well. Had a rep come today contracted through warranty plan. Rep took my working ice maker off fridge to replace with new one. Rep told me it was the wrong part. Rep then left my ice maker on the counter and then left without even letting me know anything else or that he was leaving. When I discovered this I asked via text why he didn't put my ice maker back on. He replied back because it was broken. I asked how it got broken and he never responded back to me. Rep never called warranty department to advise of wrong part nor to advise he was there. I had to report all of that and now have to wait for warranty department to reach out to him and for him to respond. Do not use this company if you want your stuff broken and them not to follow up. We called on them on a Sunday. On Monday it took awhile for them to even have our request. Finally scheduled an appointment for Wednesday. Technician came open freezer drawer looked on refrigerator said it's frozen. Please defrost for 24 hours. Called on Friday Theo let them know that didn't work. Called on Monday they still hadn't received our return request. Day 10 of no refrigerator was on Tuesday. Technician returned saying now it's compressor. I called to ask them to report to warranty company as soon as possible. It's now Wednesday and they still haven't reported it. 11 days with no refrigerator and they could care less. I would not recommend this company. They really don't care or try to help. read more

I called this company after dealing with a different company were unsuccessful to repair my dishwasher after numerous trips. The guys at SG Appliance were very friendly and helpful. The tech came out and diagnosed the problem on a Tuesday and was back on Thursday with the part he needed to fix it and the job was done! First visit: I was told that the tech would be here between 8 a.m. - 12. I got up extra early to be sure I was ready. A little after 12 noon, tech calls to say he's almost there. Forty-five minutes later, he finally arrives. Had to give shoe covers to the tech and ask him to wear a mask. Not a good start. Tech looked at the dishwasher and ordered a part to repair the problem. Second visit: Had to again provide shoe covers and ask the tech to wear a mask. Midway, through replacement of the part, tech asks if he we have a tool he could borrow. A set of nut drivers is something ANY tech should have. I did have the tool and let him use it to complete the job. Third visit : Because the problem was still occurring, either the tech didn't properly install the new part and/or the part was defective. Tech AND his friend show up (no idea why he had to bring a friend, especially during COVID times). Again, I had to have shoe covers for the tech; had to ask the friend to please remove his shoes before entering our home and to please wear a mask. Tech looked at the dishwasher, sort of tried to blame me for the problem and performed ZERO tests/analysis, etc. I called the company ONE WEEK LATER only to find out that the tech had decided on his own that the part was NOT defective and that, evidently, I was to blame (?) Had to spend time called Home Depot for the umpteenth time to ask for a different service company to come fix the dishwasher. Made sure I let HD know about the terrible "service" from SG Appliance! read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! The technician seems unstable, raised his voice and said he didn't need to be laughed at. (What?!) There was nothing to laugh about here! I needed service because my cooktop/oven shorted out suddenly, and all four of the burners turned on HIGH and would not turn off. I had to disconnect at the breaker. The tech they sent literally looked at the control panel for less than five seconds and turned on two burners. He said, "It's not doing it now. There's nothing wrong with it." I asked if he could double check the main panel and make sure there weren't any shorts anywhere, because I was concerned that it could come on again, as it did before, and burn my house down if I was not right there to turn off the breaker. He said no, there's nothing there, and asked if I just wanted them to start randomly throwing parts at it, because that's stupid, and he wasn't going to fix something that's not broken! He was aggressive and scary! After a couple of minutes of his verbal abuse, I made him leave. Just getting him to my house was an ordeal to start with. He tried to come three hours before our first appointment, because he was finished with his other calls. I couldn't get home then, so he said to text him when I was headed home and he would come then. I did that (which would've been thirty minutes before the original appointment time) and he said he was out of the area and wouldn't come. I had to press for an appointment the next day, which he did confirm. He showed up an hour and fifteen minutes late, and went to the wrong house before finally arriving. Outside of wasting my time and interrupting my schedule for two days, making me feel unsafe in my own home, and raising my blood pressure, nothing was done. My dryer stopped heating pretty unexpectedly. Used yelp to get some quotes and SG was one of the ones that got back to me pretty quickly. They were very honest about the costs of the diagnostics and explained it could be multiple issues. They were able to send someone to get repairs done within 2 days, and luckily it was the least problematic! Will go back to them for other appliance issues, and thankful my clothes are are back to being fresh again. read more

We had our dishwasher repaired. It took several weeks to get the part in, but that I can understand. But the very same week after installing the new part, we had an issue with the dishes cleaning. They sent their guy back out. This is where this issue came in. He opened the dishwasher and just looked in it. I was trying to tell him what I was experiencing when he decided to tell me all the things that he thought it could be. I again tried to explain and He said " if you are not going to listen to me, I am just going to walk out!!" His tone and attitude was uncalled for. He did not have any interest in hearing what I had to tell him about what the dishwasher was doing. He never even ran an analysis or checked anything. read more

If I could give a negative rating - I would. I have a new GE double oven. The timer/beeper didn't work. When contacting GE - they subcontracted this repair with SG Appliance. This company sent "Roy" to my home to repair. He was rude, would not explain anything he was doing. After about 45 min, he walked out of my home - I followed him asking what he did. He told me he would write a report. I called the company - "Ned" explained Roy had ordered a part and they would schedule a time for it to be installed. I asked for any other technician - Ned told me that Roy was the only technician that serviced my area! Two weeks later - Roy returned with the part. He again was rude - when I asked him a question he would reply "Are you the technician?" He told me to "let me do my job." I was actually concerned for myself to be in my house with him. He frightened me. When he was finished - I asked him to show me the beeper. He tried to show me - and it was clear he did NOT know how to work the oven. He kept turning on the lights. After he left - I realized that, not only was my oven not fixed - it no longer heated up. The entire unit was unusable. I called Ned at SG Appliance a few days later to ask for the status. Ned told me that Roy had ordered another part and they would schedule another time for him to return. I knew that was NOT going to happen. I called GE appliance - explained that Roy was NEVER going to enter my home again. I do not believe anyone should be around him - for their own safety. GE sent one of their technicians to my home today. He explained that Roy had not reconnected wires correctly - and that was why the oven would not heat up. He said Roy had replace the "wrong" board (as well as not reconnecting the wires). The GE technician replaced a different board as well as hooked up the wires (fixing what Roy had ruined). I am glad to say that - with the help of the GE technician - 6 weeks after I started this process - my new (not much longer) oven is working and the timer/beeper is working. I would strongly encourage anyone considering to use SG Appliance to NOT be at their home alone when the technician arrives. read more

Called this company off of a limb to take a look at my Thermador stove and Sub Zero refrigerator at one of my rental properties in Dallas. The office manager who took my call was very nice and straight forward, and scheduled my tenant 2 days after my initial call. The technician I believe named Cameron called me on site and gave me a quote to repair the stove and refrigerator. They repaired the stove on the spot and needed to order a valve for the leaking fridge. They came back 3 days later and got the refrigerator taken care of. All in all I will be using this company again for all of my rental properties in Dallas as they are nice, knowledgeable, and very fair priced. read more
