Absolutely terrible experience with Adams Family Moving Help. I provided my full moving address and all the necessary details two days before my scheduled move. They had more than enough time to review the job and let me know if there was an issue. Instead, they canceled at the very last minute, claiming they were from a different city and couldn't make the trip. How was this not something they realized two days earlier when they already had my address? Their lack of professionalism and planning completely disrupted my moving day and forced me to scramble to find replacement movers at the last minute. A move is stressful enough without a company making it even worse through poor communication and unreliable service. Very very bad experience. I live in College Station. I placed an order like many days ago before the appointment on 6/30 1-3pm. On 6/30 around 1:30 pm they told me that they could not come with no reason. They asked me how about 7/1 1-3pm. I was already pissed a little but I said that works for me. On 7/1 1pm they still didn't show and I called them and asked where were they. They said they were still in Houston since no one wanna come because College station is too far. I was speechless. I totally got it if you don't wanna come. But please DON'T post your service in the location you don't want to serve in the first place. Also just let the customers know the situation in advance, so the customers can prepare a back up plan earlier. Now I was homeless for at least two days because of this. Here I just wanna warn all potential customers outside Houston. Don't trust them. If you do, you have a high probability of being a clown like me. read more

I was initially hesitant to book with this moving company because they required full payment upfront rather than a deposit, which hasn't been my experience with other movers. I decided to move forward because the quoted price of $270 with two movers for three hours seemed reasonable. The two young men who arrived were polite, professional, and helpful. However, they could improve their efficiency. I live in a small one-bedroom apartment with limited furniture, most of which was already packed in IKEA Dimpa bags and a few boxes before they arrived. My largest items were a bed, sectional, and two flat-screen TVs. It took the movers about two hours just to disassemble and reassemble my bed, which surprised me since it has taken about 30 minutes in past moves. Additionally, despite being told by the owner that my TVs would be wrapped for protection, they were simply placed in the truck without moving blankets or padding. Because the movers were working slowly, my friend and I helped unload the truck to save time. Once the initial three hours were up, I agreed to pay an additional $120 for one extra hour so they could finish assembling my bed. However, when I received a text from the owner, Charles Adam, he claimed I owed $240 more, saying the original invoice only covered two hours of service -- even though I was quoted for three. When I questioned the discrepancy, he said he wasn't sure why "they" had done that, despite being the owner. In total, I paid $546.44 for a small one-bedroom move that should have easily been completed within the original three-hour quote. For nearly $600, I shouldn't have had to help move my own items. Overall, the movers themselves were courteous, but the company's billing practices and communication were misleading. I booked them less than 24 hours before I needed them and he confirmed immediately. Very professional and they were sure to keep me updated on their arrival time. They arrived promptly and moved everything with precision and even went out of their way to de -mount my tv. I had to initiate contact at the scheduled move time, as I received no prior notice or update from them. After waiting an additional hour and a half, I called again and was told they were still working and that I could continue to wait. He text me every week to make sure the move was still scheduled and to see if I had any questions. On moving day he arrived at the exact time we scheduled! He had 3 young workers with him that were polite and courteous. They moved my items with speed while making sure everything was moved safely. Charles stayed in the back of the truck strapping and arranging the items so everything was secure during the move. I highly recommend Charles and his company for your next move! I would avoid this company. Found this company through the U-Haul portal and booked with them through U-Haul. Got to the moving date and there was no notification of when they were going to come. I reached out to U-Haul to obtain help. U-Haul stated that they could pick up the U-Box around 10. I waited until about 9:45 and attempted to contact them about three times. Voicemail each time. Contacted U-Haul. U-Haul reached back to me and told me they were going to cancel. One of the most inconvenient and inconsiderate things I've been through. Schedule at your own risk! read more
