Very good food. Service was excellent. Had the falafel and rice and it was delicious. Would definitely get again. I highly recommend.

I love Polish food and was so happy to come across Taste of Poland in Jersey City! When I first…read moretried them, they had run out of house-made pierogies due to their popularity, so I opted instead for a sausage sandwich and was not disappointed! The bun was just a hot dog bun, but the sausage was great - made with a "crunchier" casing and topped with some herbs and sauerkraut. On another occasion, I finally got to try the famed pierogies - and they fall solidly in my top 3 pierogi experiences ever! You can tell they are freshly made by the texture of the shells. Mine were served slightly toasted, topped with sour cream and some green herbs. They were delicious and I inhaled them immediately. Service was friendly and I believe they are family-run. JC is definitely lucky to have them!

It's the schedule. We have shown up to the farmers market each time hoping to get some polish food, and each time we come back in disappointment. If you ask the people running the farmers market they will tell you that they come every other week. Which is not true. The SOMETIMES come and when they do they get there late, and take an hour to get setup. Please get your shit in line. P.S the number doesn't work.

I recently had it for the first time in a couple of years and was so happy that it continues to live up to the incredible hype. This is the best dessert, hands-down, you can have in Manhattan. My go to is the Liège waffle with strawberries, speculoos, and fudge, and it is out of this world. Nothing quite hits the spot that it hits, and yesterday I was so happy to see that years later it remains out of this world.

She got the S'mores waffle, and I went with the WMD, and honestly... both were so good. The smell alone was irresistible. It was the perfect sweet treat for the holiday. My WMD was loaded just right--fudge, whipped cream, bananas, and strawberries--everything you want, nothing missing. Her S'mores waffle had the whipped cream, graham cracker, and chocolate, and it was just as good. We were both very, very happy. It hit that perfect balance of warm, sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being too much. Exactly what you want when you're treating yourself. If you see the Waffles & Dinges truck, go to the truck. Don't think about it--just get you something delicious.

The platter comes with perfectly seasoned chicken over rice, along with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I got the famous white sauce and hot sauce on the side so I could add as much as I wanted, and both took the dish to the next level. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the rice. The portion was generous and incredibly filling, making it an excellent value. Everything tasted fresh, and I honestly enjoyed every bite. That said, it was so good I could probably eat two platters! The line was long, but don't let that discourage you it moved steadily and was absolutely worth the wait. Whether you're a local or just visiting NYC, this is one of those iconic spots you have to experience at least once. it!

I don't go as much as I use to, as the price has more than doubled since 2017/18. However, that has nothing to do with my rating. My problem is that meats have gone downhill. I used to love gyro meat - never sure what it was exactly lamb or beef - but now it is just gross and greasy. The chicken which used to be excellent is now very dry. The white sauce is great and the rice is fine, but that is it. Not worth getting anymore. Maybe one of their competitors is better, can't really be worse.

In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, I finally made my way to Angry Archie's. I'd seen them on my previous exploratory walks and possibly saw them with a food truck at a nearby park event. However, it was the fact that they sold lobster rolls, and frankly, the marketer in me loved the graphic logo! Would I be angry or happy with Archie for my first lobster roll experience in New Jersey!? PURCHASE Angry Lobster Roll ($22.00): A massive amount of Maine lobster meat mixed with a spicy corn mayo all stuffed into a toasted bun, this was sufficient to split with my friend. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and the buttery toasted bun was truly the icing on the cake. It was pricey, but dammit it was so good! I would love to try the heated version next! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=goUcQr5lYWSZGJbXYKHnzg Angry Crab Cake Sandwich ($17.00): A bulbous lump of crab meat mixed with spicy aioli, drizzled with citrus crema, while rested on a bed of crispy arugula, and placed between a buttery toasted bun, this was more crab-forward in flavor as the other elements didn't stand out as much. Possibly if they used the same mix from the lobster roll, the taste would be more enhanced? Again, the bread was outstanding; seriously, I'd buy the bread as a side! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=l-4TdG2hdYIq98cTDexPnA Full Portion Parmesan Truffle Fries ($9.00): A massive portion size of long thick spud sticks covered in parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, and truffle oil with a side of garlic truffle aioli for dipping, this was a blissful meal on its own! And, although we used the aioli, it really wasn't needed or seemed overkill at this point. We had leftovers which weren't as good, so eat it while it was fresh! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=uUhKPVY-0yYo0Uhavagcqg Double Cheese Mac N Cheese ($11.00): An absurd amount of tender pasta mixed with a four-cheese sauce, shaved parmesan, and herbed panko bread crumbs, this was one of the best mac n cheese dishes I've ever had! The cheese level was off-the-charts, and the panko was an ingenious idea. This was enough for two meals if you ate it on its own. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=idy1dMFN72rKV_12nlFuEg SERVICE I placed the takeaway order online, arrived about five minutes early, and soon after a friendly young man behind the counter came from the kitchen with everything wrapped up and ready to go - perfection! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 20-minute walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Palisade Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A simple layout https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=y5tIh_oEthczcPn2oM6SRg with a central order/pick-up counter that looked into the kitchen, a very legible menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=uo0dcsKpxRtaaKCYUf1RkA behind the counter, a dining bar with stools along the front window, a handful of tables, a hint of nautical decorations, and generally a really clean place. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front window and door while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=dI0QvZ2MaTIkFqGlAgh2iQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Angry Archie's was awesome, and I would definitely return to explore their menu even more! Hands down, the portion sizes were incredible, everything tasted amazing, the prices were very reasonable, and the service in our case was straightforward. And, I always loved supporting small businesses whenever possible. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $63.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... The warm sandwich on bread was topped with brown butter. As a side, I decided to go with its nephew to the seafood family. Never would I have ever guessed that crab meat topping blends perfectly with French fries! The taste was so superb I couldn't find a flaw even if I tried. The only minor downside was these two seafood dishes burned a hole in my wallet, but it was definitely worth the splash!
