Street and valet parking available. Five stars for the views and service alone. The indoor space was beautiful and had live music performances, but we opted for outdoor seating for the scenery and it did not disappoint! The views were spectacular, especially at golden hour (obviously sun sets on the NJ side, but the clouds and the light hitting NY were beautiful!) We didn't stay past sunset, but I can already tell the nighttime views must be amazing. This is definitely the kind of spot you'd want for a date night or celebratory dinner. We ordered the calamari, ragu, truffle fries, and a porterhouse to share. We originally asked for the porterhouse cooked medium, but it unfortunately came out well done and extremely dry, so we had to send it back. Thankfully, the manager and server handled everything perfectly and completely won us back with their service. The second steak came out juicy, tender, and full of flavor - exactly how it should've been! The ragu sauce was a little too watery for my taste and probably wouldn't order that again, but the truffle fries were SO good. My friends had also reserved dinner as a birthday surprise, and the management team came out with complimentary cake and house made limoncello, which honestly ended up being one of the best alcoholic drinks of the night. Such a thoughtful touch! Service was top notch from start to finish, and I was told they even have an upstairs venue space for weddings. The outdoor venue area is absolutely beautiful. We also got a chance to check out the rooftop where they have an open bar where the views and vibes were even better! I was really looking forward to our dinner reservation to try this place, and really sad at how disappointed we were. We had a group of 12 tonight, and had unbelievably slow service. One member of our table waited 45 minutes for her drink, another member waited 30 minutes. Food was mediocre at best, and one person steak was cooked incorrectly, not once, not twice, but by the third one she gave up. Another member of our table only eats well done steak, and twice they served him a medium rare one. We love to get dressed up and go out to nice dinners, but for the price point of this place, the steaks and food should be spot on. It was far far from that. Definitely not a place that we would return to again. A few of us were even very excited about the pizza oven, and the pizza was flavorless, soft crust, floppy, and not what you would expect from an expensive pizza oven. Typically, we do desserts, but we didn't even want to bother asking for a dessert menu or waiting even longer for that. The restaurant was like half full when we were there as well. I went here solo and sat at the bar and honestly had such a good experience. Kevin (the bartender) was so kind and kind to talk to. He made me feel comfortable being there alone. He helped me pick out what to order and I ended up getting the mussels, calamari 6/10, and a Caesar salad with chicken. While the food was delicious and our server, Ariel, was attentive and pleasant, the valet experience completely soured the evening. We waited nearly 20 minutes for our car. When I inquired, I was told one of the attendants was on lunch--an odd explanation for almost 8:00 PM on a busy weekend night. More frustratingly, the attendant who was on duty was dismissive and prioritized guests who arrived after us. When our car was finally 'retrieved,' it wasn't brought to the awning; it was left at the end of the long driveway near the street with the driver's door wide open in the rain. We had to walk off-property in the rain to get it while other cars were being serviced properly under the cover. If valet is the only option, it must be executed professionally. I truly enjoy the food here, but this level of carelessness makes me hesitant to return. If not for the great kitchen and dining room staff, this would easily be a one-star review. read more

The pizza was outstanding, the meatballs were full of flavor, and the truffle fries were addicting. I ordered the filet mignon, which was a little overcooked (I asked for medium), but still very good. My husband ordered the pork chops, and he absolutely loved them -- tender and perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately, our server was not attentive. He never came back to check on us after dropping off our meals and even messed up our martinis. The saving grace of the night was the manager, who was truly exceptional. He immediately made things right by comping our drinks, was incredibly professional, and even invited us upstairs to see the beautiful rooftop bar and lounge. I am a frequent flyer here! They are a must see stop when visiting Jersey City. The hostess(es) is always friendly & attentive. Downstairs bar and resturant usually has plenty of seating and bar tenders available. Sometimes when crowded, holidays and special events they can use additional staff to help tend to customers. The stork club upstairs has fantastic views and a beautiful Set up to lounge inside or out and have drinks, appetizers and conversation. Some places are too loud to speak but here allows for conversation while still listening to music in the background. Again it's never crazy crowded which is a plus, so you can get quickly served and not worry about someone taking your seat I enjoy going to Selina's steakhouse with friends family or just one on one. We had a wonderful dining experience at this steakhouse, where the ambiance immediately set the tone for an upscale and relaxed evening. The space felt elegant without being stuffy, and the service was attentive, professional, and perfectly timed throughout the meal. We began with the Cesar salad, meatballs, fried calamari and bruschetta, all were excellent starters. The calamari was light, crispy, and well-seasoned, while the bruschetta was fresh and flavorful, with fresh figs, whipped ricotta and perfectly toasted focaccia bread. For the main courses, the 10oz filet mignon was the standout --cooked beautifully, incredibly tender, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes. We also ordered a selection of pizzas, including the Margherita, Vodka, and Soppressata. Each pizza was well-executed with a thin, crisp crust and balanced flavors; the Vodka pizza in particular was rich and comforting without being too heavy. The truffle fries were a great addition, aromatic and crispy, and ideal for sharing. The ambience here is incredible, breathtaking views of the New York City skyline with a clear shot of the Statue of Liberty. No matter where you sit, you'll have a view. The live jazz music was the highlight of the night the vocalist was amazing and really set the mood. Service was just as impressive as the atmosphere. Every server was attentive, not just our waiter. They were courteous, sweet, and on top of everything--crumbing the table before dessert and anticipating needs without ever feeling overwhelming. It made the whole evening feel seamless and special. The food was delicious overall. Entrées are definitely on the pricier side, but the appetizers were outstanding. The Caesar salad was to die for I'd honestly come back just for drinks, appetizers, and the atmosphere. That said, don't sleep on the entrées; our steak and pasta were excellent. The meatballs from the appetizers were moist, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely worth recommending. We went to celebrate a birthday, and it was the perfect choice. Between the views, the live music, the food, and the attentive service, it was a memorable night. We'd definitely return. As a sidenote, I wouldn't recommend the potato purée. A lot of hits and misses at Felina. Let me start by saying the food was good. It's prepared well and most dishes tasted wonderful. Only problem of the night was... they ran out of popular dishes that left our party scratching our heads. Odd that a steakhouse wouldn't have ribeye anymore. Also odd that a popular dessert, the cheesecake would be out. I wouldn't complain as much if this was a high volume mom and pop shop but it is a large beautifully decorated establishment. Service: they did the best they could. Especially when they were short staffed and both servers were new. They told us upfront they didn't have the tomahawk. So we then ordered ribeye. They said they didn't have that either. Ok. Then no cheesecake. They need to warn us ahead all at once like most places do. Hospitality: they fell short on their menu items and they were short staffed yes, but the manager made it up at the end of the night. Unfortunately I got too caught up with the conversations I completely forgot to take pictures of the food we girls had 2 bottles of wine while the guys had the bartender make different kinds of mezcal cocktails all night. It was a drab Mother's Day disappointment. You get a special view of NYC in a piece of prime real estate. You can see the Freedom Tower and the Statue of Liberty - a major plus there. I understand why wedding services are hosted here. Also, our waiter was kind and helpful. Leaving all that aside, the experience was an overt rip-off. $80 per person for a 3-course pre-fix menu, containing 17 options, 3 of which were dessert items. This is already a pretty steep price to charge, so my family was expecting something very special in addition to the pristine view of NYC. Having such a limited number of items should have, in theory, implied strong focus on quality. We didn't see the price justified in the slightest. 3 of the 5 people in my table ordered the caesar salad as an appetizer since the grilled octopus was out...at 4:30 pm for an establishment that closes at 9 pm. That was disappointing. However, the caesar salad was great, and we were served a heaping pile of it. I was a big fan of the dressing. The croutons, meanwhile, were stale and unwanted. Some of the leaves were also far too big, which made for some comically large bites. The tuna tartare was the only other appetizer we ordered, which underwhelmed the remaining two diners. The tuna wasn't cut properly, so it ended up being a stringy mess; and there was something off flavor-wise, like it was missing sesame oil and/or seasoning. As an aside, for an $80 pre-fix menu, we were expecting bread or focaccia, which most places provide. This was too much to ask for, apparently, as we got none. Overall a mixed start to our dinner Entrées were the same: hit or miss. My crispy skin salmon was tasty except for one thing: the skin was a soggy, limp, and unappetizing slab on cooked fish flesh. The cook on the salmon was fantastic and the flavor combination worked great; but marketing crispy skin salmon and serving salmon skin that is the complete opposite was a surprise for a place charging $80 per person on a holiday. It was as if the skin was taken off the salmon before cooking, left it out at room temperature, cooked the fish, slapped the room temperature skin on top of the salmon, and served the dish. I don't know what was done that made believe the skin was crispy, as there was a blatant gap in quality control. I also noticed a solid tablespoon of runoff oil on the side of my bowl that was probably the salsa verde, which I didn't taste. So my dish was essentially great salmon, tasty fregola and eggplant caponata, a collection of wilted green herbs on top, and everything covered in vegetable oil from a broken sauce, with some skin piled on the side of my plate. Overall was expecting better. The chicken milanese was either great or borderline inedible. One order was crispy and pleasant, and the other chicken was rife with tendons and inedible pieces that rendered half of his order a total waste. We considered returning it for a replacement, but we were already 1.5 hours into dinner service such that we wanted to leave and didn't want to wait any longer for our meals. This leads to another issue: it took incredibly long for food to come out. There was around a 45-60 minute lag from when we finished our appetizers to when we received our entrées, and then nearly the same lag from entrées to desserts. Our dinner was approximately 2.5 hours. The fillet mignon entrée was good, minus the crab, which was essentially mushed on top; and minus the asparagus, which was mushy. The short rib was "good, but not great," per my acquaintance. Overall, disappointed with the entrées. That left the dessert to end on a good note. Instead, we left Felina absolutely outraged. The chocolate mousse ordered by myself and two others was a pathetic, syrupy, dense, and warm brown cement that occupied one-fifth of my plate. If that wasn't incredible enough, 30% of the plate was taken up by cocaine lines of raw cocoa powder, another line of Oreo crumbs that was insignificant to any part of the dish, and a tiny pile of whipped cream with 2 blackberries. The other half of the plate was empty. As a health concern, all three of us who ordered the mousse went home with stomach problems, probably due to the brown Elmer's glue of a dessert. This wasn't the worst of it. The lemon crème cake was an indiscriminate archipelago of coulis drops, a dollop of whipped cream, and two bite-sized pieces of cake. I found myself cracking up over the WORST desert I have ever seen. And note, assuming an even pricing distribution, this dessert EXCLUDING TIP is $26.67! What a vile and inexplicable disgrace of a dessert that occupied 15% of a plate. Don't expect me entertaining the money-grab that is a pre-fix menu at any establishment ever again, let alone at Felina. My father's suggestion of making pizza instead of incinerating $550 in disbelief sounds way better in retrospect. Catastrophic! I want a refund for this waste of time and money on a holiday evening. read more

The one star is for the Ambiance because it truly is in an excellent location. The view is beautiful. The food not so great. The calamari was not fresh, the pork chop was also spoiled and served on cold polenta. There was no reason that should've made it out the kitchen. The waitress was nice but she should've seen we barely touched our food and asked us if everything was ok which tells me they know the quality of the food is bad. The Manager comped my pork chops and my friend's steak which was not cooked to the temperature requested but the other two meals were just as bad and we just got tired of complaining. This was not the dining experience you'd expect anywhere. Especially a fancy looking place. I cook at home and would never serve my family what they had the audacity to serve and charge $$$. Getting the manager to understand how unacceptable it was to serve food that is not fresh or safe was an ordeal. The whole building was modern, beautiful, and located on an inlet at the Port of Liberte. We valeted my friend's vehicle and headed into Felina, which was located on the first floor of the building. While the dining room and massive bar were nice, we asked if we could dine outside in order to enjoy the lovely weather. I was worried that we would receive poor service since we were the only table out there, but the amiable staff was top notch. Plus, we were able to enjoy beautiful views from the relaxing patio. My friend had decided to start her experience with the Apricot and Beet Salad. I did not order an appetizer, but I sampled hers. The large salad was assembled from baby arugula, goat cheese, and spiced almonds in a thyme vinaigrette; it was a plate full of bright freshness. Her second course was another appetizer - the meatballs, which I did not try, but she enjoyed. I, on the other hand, opted for the Potato-Crusted Cod entrée. The flaky fish had been topped with crunchy, flavorful potato dust, plated with a few fresh clams, and served in a tomato- and clam-based broth. The robust dish was excellent! We came here a couple of weeks ago. Made reservation through OpenTable, it was easy and smooth. That's for the one star I gave here. We were looking forward to celebrating good times enjoying food, drinks and view with the family but it was such a disappointment! I think so), I didn't pay attention if there's any fish in there, but there's a puddle of water. I mean the restaurant was just opened for the day! Why wasn't it cleaned? The food took forever to come out. We got complimentary bread, it came with olive and olive oil dipping, this was good. Then we ordered caesar salad (this was sad), shrimp cocktail (didn't taste fresh), Margherita pizza (this was good), spaghetti, tortellini, bucatini (all these pastas were disappointing), shishito peppers (was really good!) and tTomahawk steak!!! Market Price! We got charged $225 for it. The restaurant is a steakhouse, but do NOT, I repeat do not order the steak! I wouldn't recommend! Well to be fair, we did not order steaks other than the tomahawk. But save yourself from disappointment, skip the tomahawk! We had to return the steak almost twice! Ordered medium rare, and it came out over done, we returned it. Then after a while, the replacement steak came out and it's raw! It's way undercooked! We're too tired of waiting, didn't feel like sending it back, so we asked our wait-staff to just torch the steak. It didn't help. We took one bite then just asked the check, we're more roused to leave the place by then. Went to Felinas for a friend's birthday. First of all the restaurant is beautiful and has great views of New York and Lady Liberty. The bar is very large and with nice decor. The bar is very inviting. There was a wedding or event going on upstairs however event goers were asked to wait downstairs first which was very overwhelming to the restaurant patrons who were trying to get to the host stand or bar. Once we were seated our server Gary was amazing. He was attentive and accommodating. On to the food and drinks. For a steak place everything was pretty underwhelming. There wasn't much on the menu but I should have taken the hint when I saw pizza on the menu at a steak place. So let's start with drinks. The drink menu was small so I had an old fashioned which was ok. I later had a Pinot noir which Gary had me taste before he poured and it tasted like all the oxygen from the day was in that bottle. He thankfully opened a new bottle for me to which I was grateful. My friend however got a simple margarita which came out yellow. The kind of yellow that someone dreads it's going to taste like all sour mix. She didn't like it at all. On to the food. We ordered quite a bit. We had the Caprese salad, farm salad and arancini to start which were all pretty good. We then got the Scallop meal, the chicken scarpariello, the crispy skin salmon, the Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, broccoli rabe and we shared the Tomahawk steak. Everything came out lukewarm and lacked flavored. The scallop meal is pretty light and not much to it for the price. The broccoli rabe was mostly stem. We also got the Cacio e Pepe which was dry. It was also quite small. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that is hungry as their only meal. Now we paid a million dollars for the Tomahawk which in other streak houses have come out sizzling, juicy and flavorful. This was not seasoned well, was barely warm, not juicy or flavorful. We were so disappointed because of the price mostly and that it wasn't a steakhouse quality. I will say the focaccia bread was the star of the show. At the end of the night I asked for a port and the server said they had tawny 10 yr and 20yr but then came back with two bottles that looked like they had been sitting there opened and untouched for quite some time and said he was misinformed and that they only had a 2 yr and 5 yr in a completely different brand. I passed on the port. The restaurant seems to be missing the mark for a steak place in my opinion. We waited far too long for our meals, and when they finally arrived, we were disappointed by the portion sizes, especially considering the exorbitant prices. I celebrated my birthday with my family on Saturday, January 25. My daughter made the reservation. My husband and I arrived first and since the rest of my party wasn't there we sat at the bar for a drink. Not only were the drinks expensive which is expected, but after a total of three drinks that we ordered, the bar bill came with a 20% automatic tip. Why?? My husband didn't realize the tip was included, as I never heard of a bartender automatically adding a 20% tip for only serving three drinks, and so my husband added another tip to the bill! Tricky bartender! When my daughter arrived she spoke to the receptionist about the reservation. My daughter wanted to reiterate and once again confirm the section and table she had requested upon making the reservation over the phone. We had been to Felina's before so I knew my table preference. The receptionist was curt and rude to my daughter after my daughter mentioned she had requested a table by a window. My daughter was taken back by the receptionist's response. She mentioned the rudeness by the receptionist to the restaurant manager. The dinner service was also mediocre, for the money you spend, the server could have been more attentive and friendly. Servers need adequate training to communicate and engage with a clientele that is willing to dish out $600 for dinner. I saw the restaurant manager going to tables and engaging with customers.
