I've been here twice now and have my third appointment in 2 weeks! I got my first tattoo here by Cat and she's absolutely amazing! The place is very cool and has a nice vibe to it. Cat is amazing and she's extremely skilled! I just got my second tattoo by her and am so freaking happy with it! She did an amazing job and throughout the process she was able to accommodate a few changes I had asked were possible. She made this tattoo perfect and I couldn't have asked her to do it any better! She's very sweet and makes sure your comfortable while tattooing and that's something that made me feel so comfortable. She's very talented. I have already written a review about my incredibly awesome experience with everyone at Addicted to Ink and especially my tattoo artist Cat (Cathy Morpin). I went back to have Cathy fulfill a wish I had to have the names of my nieces and nephews tattooed on my arm (I have 17). I wish I could portray the vine that Cathy twined around my arm, interspersed with the 17 names, it's beautiful and lace like, and the delicacy is spectacular. (This review is on behalf of a friend). A friend of mine went in TWICE to get a small tattoo and was rejected both times for inexcusable reasons. Please note - THIS IS HIS FIRST TATTOO The first time, he stopped by the shop to get consulted and potentially get his tattoo done the same day (if there was availability), check out some artists and at the very minimum, make an appointment. He was told there was no availability for that day, that he tattoo was too small to make an appointment for and to top it all off, were quite rude about it. Odd, but fine. So, prior him to going back for the second time, I decide to call for him since he was going from a city 45 minutes away. A woman picks up the phone and says that a walk in would be fine and he should have no trouble. He gets there, they say they're unavailable and he still can't make an appointment. Why not at this point just make an appointment? Even if the time slot is short - why not? To say the least, he's not going back. The entire scenario felt unprofessional and well, not even worth driving the 45 minutes any longer. read more

This place is so rude! I went twice to try to get pierced. The first time the front desk girl blew me off, and then told me the piercer would have to check my nose to see if I can fit a septum ring. She told me she didn't know when she was coming in. The next time I tried to go in, I was yelled at in the parking lot. I was told it's private parking as per the sign. I don't know how there are not more great reviews for this tattoo shop! They have got some of the nicest most talented artists around. The shop itself is super clean, everyone is incredibly welcoming and friendly and all the artists take lots of pride in their work. They have even recently added on an area to do laser removal, so if you need that, you can go there for that too now. I have been tattooed by Little Mike and Cash and although I would highly recommend any artist that works there, I can say without a doubt these two guys are funny and talented as hell. Getting a tattoo from Cash will feel like your oldest friend is doing it, he's talkative and will make even a first timer feel at ease. Compared to other local White Plains shops these guys have it. Many of my friends and even family have also been tattooed by Cash. Be prepared to wait for your appointment, but trust me it is well worth the wait. This establishment looks attractive and catches your eye when passing it. It is located next to a small flower shop. The strip of sidewalk it's on is small and its across the street from the massively sized Westchester mall. Finding parking isn't easy. There is neither any parking lot nor are there any street parking spots. Probably the best place to park is in the mall and to then cross over the street. Inside, I noticed that the shop has all the cool new updated tattoo technology on the market. You dont walk in and hear that familiar but daunting buzzing of the tattoo machine because they have the quiet and best technology in new tattoo guns. It is sparkling clean and the main "clerk" (for lack of a better term) is also the piercer. She seemed very friendly, welcoming, and organized, both to me and to all other patrons. She came across as very professional. I just so happened to witness one occurence that also gave me immediate respect for her: Someone came in wanting a tongue ring and she quickly inspected the tongue and had to turn the customer away because, as she explained, she had a certain vein on the bottom side of her tongue that may have caused complications. For smaller tattoos, they even have that special clear tape that goes over the fresh ink and is intended to be left on for 3 or 4 days, and avoids the initial Eucerin stage of maintenance. Also, their pricing is very fair and pleasantly surprised me. I inquired ahead of time by email about a few process and protocol issues. Based on that, I decided to come immediately upon the opening of the shop, to minimize my wait-time. The shop operates largely on a walk-in system which then becomes a first come first serve system. I get it and I've been in enough shops to know to expect that. Anyways, my wait, considering I was the second customer there, on a weekday, was about an hour. So, I suggest you anticipate dedicating several hours upon randomly walking in, even if it is a small piece. They do have several large televisions that are going and I thought that helped with the wait... I definitely preferred it to the typical tat shop where music and conversation are blaring. I was assigned, basically seemingly at random, to my artist. I'm not one to chat it up with a random artist/person but honestly, I felt like he had a sort of general negative energy. Other than discussing the color of a flower, I dont think he said more than 2 sentences to me during the hour or so we spent together.. and never was a smile broken. When very briefly discussing the tattoo I wanted, I asked for him to use some of his artistic eye and ability on a few components. Usually artists love being given that option and freedom but that wasn't the case here. He seemed like he would have ideally wanted a full sketch from me, with exact color choices and all - almost like he was being overly cautious in wanting me to entirely be in control of all choices, so if I didnt love the whole tattoo, it would be completely my own fault. ... Anyways, these are just a few observations and I'm not saying there is anything negative about them. To the contrary, some people may prefer having total control over their image! I can also add and say that upon completion, I was 100% pleased with the piece. My friend who got a substantially smaller piece done and was also randomly assigned an artist, explained having felt more at ease and comfortable with her artist. They shared a positive and friendly energy. I would return here, but for a smaller specific tattoo that I didnt need or want much input into. If looking for a larger piece that required trust and innate artistic ability, I'd probably opt to return to my former artistic in Brooklyn, despite the inconvenience. I think I discovered that for me, I really need to vibe with my artist and know their style of work. read more

I got a tattoo last summer with the artist Gera- I had sent her what quote I had wanted weeks prior to getting my tattoo, and she had sent over a few stencils for me to choose from which had the correct quote. When I went to get the tattoo, the stencil was correct on the ipad, but the stencil printed and placed on my back was incorrect. Sooo I got an extra word added into my tattoo... it was on my spine so it was hard to read the stencil when placed on my back. I was told that my laser removal would be paid for, or I would get a free cover up of the tattoo. It is a year later, and I have paid for several removal sessions ($160 each for the size of a quarter) when my tattoo wouldve only been $200 itsself. She has yet to respond to any of my emails, messages on instagram or calls to the shop. Yes the tattoo came out great, but as far as it being correct and the shop being reliable, I would not recommend. Not for their customers. read more

Let me start by saying I had my first tattoo done here at the age of 18. Theres a reason why I haven't returned. Worst service, walked in for a small tattoo with a friend. We were both denied, EVEN after telling them I'd leave a large tip. They close at 8, why am I denied for a 5 minute tattoo at 7. Also, front desk girl belittled me by implying that a tattoo that small would not be able to hold as much detail...not sure if she saw that my BARE arms are covered in tattoos, I am well aware of the necessary size for tattoos to be to incorporate enough detail. I came here upon recommendation from a friend and was very pleased with my experience. I had a conch piercing done by Keri for $45 + tip (including jewelry), which I feel is a very reasonable price for a piercing, especially compared to many places in the city. The process was quick and easy with less than a 10 minute wait time. Keri was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even offered to look at my forward helix piercings after I mentioned that I had difficulty taking these piercings out due to the location. I have very sensitive ears and usually experience a lot of irritation with new piercings; however, I have not had to deal with this nonsense over the past week since getting the piercing this time around! This is the only area a shop I trust with the art on my body. I tried another shop for their Friday the 13th event and I've learned my lesson. I'll be having that tattoo fixed at Addicted to Ink in the future. The shop is always clean, always lively, and always busy. They have a super comfy couch to wait on and multiple tv screens which are always playing good movies. I've been tattooed by many artists, both past and current, including Joe, Ca$h, and Lindsay and the work has always been stellar and I've always been treated with respect. I've never really written a bad review but I just thought my experience in this place showed that the artist was not very professional. I came in to the shop twice, first time went in to look for an artist that knew or had the aesthetics I was looking for and second to get pricing range and book. Talking to the artist he seem like he didn't care and started giving me random price range for the piece i wanted after showing him where and how big I wanted it. After we settled on a price he personally asked me for my information and wrote down everything we discussed and gave him the deposit he requested. I scheduled my FIRST tattoo 4 weeks after the deposit and when I came in a few days ago to get it I was completely turned off. I came in and told them I was scheduled, the receptionist got the artist and he looks at me very confused. I gave him the card appointment to show him and tells me had double booked but what got me annoyed was that he said HE FORGOT to put me on his calendar a few minutes later. He offers me to come in at a later time, but knowing that the store closes a few hours of the hour he had suggested, I did not want a rushed tattoo especially if it was going to be my first and it was a decent size piece. I just asked for my money back and decided to look somewhere else. I came here because my friends had suggested the place but i found a place near this one and will not be coming back. read more

I loved this place for a tattoo. I had the "little person" do my tattoo and quite honestly I couldn't have asked for a better person! He was great, his lines were so crisp and clean that everyone stops and asks who did it because of that reason.. (I will have a picture of it fairly soon so you can see it) but in all honesty, having drawn it myself and made the lines close and so intricate he redesigned it, with my permission, a tiny bit so that he could make it more clean on my body. Only downfall, I came in January... and because of some situation with their landlord they couldn't turn the heat on till 1pm which is about the time I got there but the place doesn't heat up for a while... so I sat there shivering, in the middle of the room with my shirt off to do this tat and barely any heat... the space heaters they had were doing jack shit.... i almost froze my fingers off by the end of the session which took about 45 mins but still! My friend and I went in to get matching tattoos and our experience was great! We were greeted when we walked in by Keri who was super friendly and asked us what kind of design we wanted (we already had a rough sketch we drew ourselves) and helped us through the paperwork and all that stuff. John perfected our design and made some changes - we wanted it pretty small so he helped us out with getting the details to look right. He also did my tattoo and made me feel at ease about the whole process - it was my first tat so I was a little nervous about how it would go. It turned out exactly how I wanted. Eddie did my friends tattoo and she was really happy with how hers turned out too. They were both very thorough in explaining the aftercare procedures. Extremely patient, friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. Every single artist here is AMAZING! They work with you and no one is ever pushy. I always hear clients praising about how wonderful their tattoos turned out. I was recommended by a good friend to "go see Ralph". When I made my appointment back in April Ralph helped me consider embellishments/personal touches for a design that I wanted. I took my homework assignment to heart and when I came back in July I thought I had it all figured out. The design I walked in with and what I walked out with were completely different - in a good way! I've heard from several people that a good tattoo artist will take what your idea and make it their own. Ralph made modifications to the image I had in my head and while I was a little skeptical at first I love it now. He took into consideration all of my requests and paid attention to the fact that I work in a semi-corporate environment. My tattoo pays homage to my family, and it means so much to me. The studio is clean and the guys are very friendly. Parking is available for free in the Stop & Shop down the street. I got my first and second tattoo done here and they are the best quality tats I have out of the multiple I have now. Cash did my first tattoo and he was a very chill dude. He showed me all the new needles being opened and made me feel comfortable. I didn't handle the pain very well but he was cool about it. He drew the piece exactly how I wanted it and did a great job. A girl did my second tattoo, can't remember her name unfortunately. She was awesome! I came in with (poorly done) sketches and pictures of what I wanted, and the next day she drew an amazing piece that I am still in love with to this day! All the other artist's in the shop were complimenting her work once the piece was done. There was a long, straight line on the piece and she did it perfectly. No crooked lines or mishaps! I was blown away. They really educated me about the healing process and made sure I was happy. The place is a bit intimidating when you first walk in, but everyone is super cool and laid back. This shop is a waste of time. I visited twice. First time was a week ago, I came in two hours before the shop closed to see if I could get a small tattoo. The woman at the front desk rudely told me that the design I brought in wouldn't work for a tattoo and that since it would need to be redrawn, I had to come earlier in the day at a later time. I asked if I could make an appointment, and she simply said, "It's kind of a walk-in thing" Today, a week later, I came only an hour or so after the shop opened and asked again about the tattoo. The woman (once again, rudely) said there were three people waiting ahead of me, and took my number and said she would call when they were ready. So I gave her my number, went home, and waited. For hours. I called her again two hours before closing time, politely asked for an update, and she told me (you guessed it! Rudely) that it probably wouldn't happen today, and that I'd have to come back AGAIN to do the same thing. This shop CLEARLY doesn't give half a damn about its customers and has zero respect for their time. The service is rude and I would say stay FAR away from this place.
