Came here for Valentine's Day and it was an absolute disaster. Service was painfully slow with zero communication. It took over 30 minutes just to get drinks, and after sitting there for more than an hour and a half with no food, we finally asked to leave. Suddenly, and conveniently, our food came out the moment we said we were done waiting. It was cold, rushed, and clearly sitting somewhere for who knows how long. No apology. No explanation. No acknowledgment of the delays at any point. Being busy is not an excuse for ignoring guests. Valentine's Day is not a surprise on the calendar, yet this place was completely unprepared. This place has no right calling itself a stake house. I had by far the worst experience at this place. I just got done taking my wife there for our new years eve dinner. Let me start off wow. This is the first time and last time there. They had a premix drink witch I understand. 1/4 of my drink was just simple syrup. Then I asked for my stake to be cooked medium rare and it came out way closer to medium the medium rare. On top of that the kicken fell behind. And was not notified.I have Told the server about both things that where wrong and they did not do anything to fix it or then gaving me 3 little cheese cake bits. One word. DELICIOUS!! Everything we had was outstanding. Stuffed mushrooms, gouda burgers, prime rib with garlic mashed and asparagus, lobster rangoon and stuffed shrimp. All were perfectly cooked. The service was great as well! It isn't a large restaurant and even though people were packed in on Christmas Eve, we were able to maneuver around just fine. My 100 year old grandmother was even able to move around okay. There isn't a large waiting area, so that was a little difficult to deal with while waiting for a table to open up, but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker. I'm sure we'll be back soon! read more

You get what you pay for ! My wife and I stopped there for a quick bite after a doctor visit and after looking at the menu, we almost got up and left. I just was not capable of eating a 24 ounce porterhouse and my wife did not want a steak hamburger. I ended up ordering a New York strip steak sandwich with caramelized onions And mushrooms had to cook, medium and it came on a brioche bun. My wife had a hamburger with some type of barbecue sauce, applewood bacon, and cooked to perfection. Been driving by this place for a while. Decided to give it a shot. Again, went during lunch not a lot of patrons were in the restaurant when we arrived. Our server was nice and friendly, and did check on us from time to time which is the highlight of the meal. Steak was under seasoned, baked potato had no flavor even with all the butter and salt you can muster. We had shared asparagus, and it was extremely oily. Both of our steaks, the meat quality, for what you pay for, was less than average quality. naturally, that's my opinion, but I realized that there was a reason I always drove by it and passed on walking in. Our total bill was $145. And for that, we could've picked up steaks from a local butcher and grilled it ourselves, and had better quality at home, accurately seasoned, then going out and coming here to spend for this. (However, if you set your expectations low...maybe you'll have a good time and a tasty meal I suppose...) Additionally, for the amount of money you pay for, you could at least have decent furniture to sit in. The booth we were in seem to have seen better days, and the table was extremely shaky and uneven. They ended up putting a couple napkins under the table to keep it from shaking, especially after our drink was spilled all over the table because of it. My recommendations: Keep going further south, and into the city or on the North Shore, for a good qualified meal if you're willing to spend a couple hundred dollars. First people who have always been lovely to me. I'm a loyal fan. Their soup is so filling and hearty and I have never seen a dish come out that isn't superb looking! I love the warmth in there and staff is always immaculate. They also nursed to health one of the nicest people in Lake County after he had undergone surgery and was antsy to get himself a nice meal in style. Bless this whole mall for being here! We have been here three times now and each time we have been here the food and the service have been fantastic. Tonight we started with the seared scallops. There were two nice sized thick scallops served on a bed of rice. Scallops melted in your mouth and were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My wife and I both had the chicken and dumpling soup which was delicious. I had the 14oz prime rib which was cooked the way I asked - tender and delicious. My sides were mixed sautéed vegetables and grilled asparagus. I had these sides last time and vowed to try two different sides this go around but could not resist ordering again since I enjoyed them so much last time. Once again, spot on. I will have to meet the chef sometime and offer my compliments My wife had the chicken and artichoke which she was delicious. I need to comment on the dinner rolls. They are served warm and with a butter that is to die for. The service and food have been consistently 5 star. Kelly was our server tonight and was excellent. If you are fortunate enough to have Allison or Kelly as your server and bartender you are in for a treat. They are professionals. Kelley works magic when making cocktails and Allison does a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable and welcome. All in all a must for fine dining! read more

Trust me when I say: DO NOT patronize this establishment. Steakhouse is in their name but it is a far cry from that! The owners have obviously thrown in the towel. My supposed USDA "Prime" top butt sirloin was definitely not prime & honestly I would be surprised if it was even choice grade! It was very tough and chewy & I could buy a much more tender steak from the grocery store. I can go to Mariano's and they will grill me a tender sirloin steak 10 out of 10 times at a quarter of the price. More observations: 1) the green beans were not edible 2) my wife's prime rib arrived to the table cold 3) water tasted funny 4) salt came out of the shaker too fast 5) super weird setup when you walk in the restaurant 6) server doesn't taste the food because according to her everything on the menu is terrific. We arrived at Addison's strip center location less that enthusiastic seeing the building from the outside, entering the restaurant did little to instill encouragement. The decor is little more than that of a two star sports bar, certainly nothing supporting a $50 plus entree price dining establishment. If ambiance of your surroundings means anything to your dining experience do not even consider dining at Addison's. OK, so I am not impressed with the surrounding but what about the food? My wife ordered a filet which was good sized yet somewhat flavorless, also served rare despite being ordered medium rare - the price was $48. Her onion straws were served cold and had to be sent back along with her up-charged steak chili salad replacement which was also cold. I ordered a seafood scallop and shrimp pasta dish which was tasty, but the only iseafood consequence included two medium sized shrimp, one large scallop. A bit ridiculous for a price of $38.00. My caesar salad was good, however our meals arrived early while we were still eating our salad leaving us to scramble to find room on our table for entree and salad plate - a serious pet peev of mine. Oh, did I mention that there was no bread offered with out meal! Finally, the menu online has not been updated to reflect significantly increased price so please beware!! f you are going to spend nearly $200.00 for dinner, drinks and tip you have so many much better options to consider, Addison's was a significant disappointment. read more

Absolutely amazing restaurant! One of the best fillets I have ever had! Ordered it medium rare with the garlic butter topping! Cooked perfectly. The wedge salad may be the best side salad I have ever had! Service was fantastic! I actually ate there for the first time yesterday for a dinner meeting and it was so good I went back tonight with a friend and ordered the exact same thing! Best steak I have had in a very long time! And lastly, the ambiance was nice but relaxed, which is perfect for me! I like to have a great experience in a nice place but don't want to feel like I have to go home and change into a nicer wardrobe to do so! There were about 10 small rings of frozen rubbery calamari for like $15. $18? The atmosphere is a joke! They're trying to be a high-end steakhouse & it looks like a bar/pub inside. Very noisy & no "ambiance". The 2 Margarita's we had were excellent at $12. ea, which were the best part of the whole dining experience. I do not recommend at all!
