Service 10, food10, and atmosphere and personality is a 10! Everyone at sometime can challenge a 5 star rating meaning that the lest meaning of a no table napkin or a missing fork can ruin one's evening. Put aside all of that menial nonsense and for the four of us there was no reason in the world for us to leave and go somewhere else to drink and eat. we ordered half of the menu and i'm not even kidding when I say I was blown away. Best meal i have had in years! It was a busy saturday night so food service may have been considered slow for the overly eager or starving patrons but we enjoyed our time while waiting. Every item was just perfectly flavored, seasoned, portioned. I'm visiting town and i'm so upset I don't get to enjoy this spot more often but I will be planning to come back every time i'm here!! Came here for lunch with my mom on Saturday. It's located on Main Street in downtown Antioch and is close to a few shops. I had the Southwest Steak Salad, which was good. Good size portion and had a good amount of avocado. Came with corn, tomatoes, croutons, spring greens, and cotija. The steak was seasoned nicely. The cilantro-lime dressing worked well with all the salad components and wasn't too spicy. My mom had the Alice's Tea party, which was a steak blend burger, mushrooms, havarti cheese, truffle aioli, lettuce, and tomato. All on a brioche bun. My wife and I came here for dinner on Sunday during our short visit to Antioch. What a great find! The restaurant opened in May 2024 and the decor and general ambiance was clean and modern without being pretentious. Our server, Darren, was really excellent. Very knowledgeable about the menu. As the restaurant is a steakhouse I had intended to have a steak but, thanks to Darren's suggestion, I decided to go with the Chilean Sea Bass. So glad I did, it was absolutely delicious. My wife was also feeling adventurous and had the Chili-Coffee Crusted Pork which turned out to be another great choice. We finished off the meal with Creme Brulée which came with a couple of yummy raisin cookies. Overall, I'd highly recommend this restaurant and would certainly revisit next time we're in the area. read more

Needed a place to kill some time while my daughter was at rehearsal at the PM&L Theater, so I went to 15 Lakes. I could have chosen any number if downtown restaurants, BUT I'm glad I chose 15 Lakes. Tuesday was a burger special night, and I had a really good burger. Talked to Jessie the bartender and had a great cocktail and conversation. I couldn't say no to Creme Brulee for dessert as well. I teach on the Northshore of Chicago, and I know good restaurants. 15 Lakes could thrive in Glencoe, Winnetka, or Lake Forest. If you're in Antioch, seek out this quality restaurant. I really thought this place was going to be good, especially from the reviews. First off, I looked online and when we got there, they just switched their menu that day. Okay, so I found something else to order. I tried the hanger steak, which the waitress said was really tender and tasty. My boyfriend and adult daughter ordered filets. My grandson ordered the kid's filet, which was about 3 bites and a few fries. We all ended up giving him some of our food. First off, the hanger steak was dry, chewy and tasteless. My daughter's filet was well done. All steaks were ordered medium. Boyfriends was okay. We would've complained but it took over an hour to get our food and we were one of 4 tables in the place, us being the second to arrive. No bread, no soup or salad. Our baked potatoes were big and would've been great, but the butter was tasteless. I asked who I think was a manager or owner what the deal was, is this unsalted butter? He said yes, they're trying to be like the high quality Chicago restaurants and they didn't want to clutter up the tables. I've never been to one with unsalted butter. That would've been overcome if there was salt on the table. We had to ask the waitress to bring it out, she puts it on your food, then leaves with it. Apparently it wasn't coming out because our potatoes were still unsalted and tasteless. We try a lot of restaurants and for the prices and the quality of steaks, won't be going back for quite some time, if ever. The waitress was nice, but didn't check on us much. Was hard to get a refill of soda. We did have cocktails as well. Those were okay. Seems like Chicago prices, lack of salt, pepper, soup, salad, bread, taste.....oh and to top it off, after waiting an hour, our food wasn't hot at all. It was barely lukewarm. Updated. Stopped in for an earlier mid week dinner. This place wows us every time. My wife had a lemon ravioli type dish which was delicious. I had the wedge salad which was delicious along with their French onion soup. 30 day dry aged ribeye and sides of maque choux (sweetcorn Cajon side) which I've always wanted to try. Potato pave as well. All delicious and drinks were good as well. We love coming here and the menu is always changing which we enjoy. Can come and just have appetizers, that's a fun way to enjoy it as well. Our server was attentive and no concerns there. Pleasantly surprised. Heard mixed reviews with the most recent being plates were small. So, our own experience follows: Our server Dan went over the top to accommodate us. Full disclosure, our GF guest was forgotten when the wedge salad contained fried onions. BUT, it was quickly rectified and a new wedge plate appeared. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and the baked potato was awesome! Although heavy handed on salt and pepper which their quality meet didn't require. Plenty of food, much to take home. Absolutely zero complaints regarding the overall food, drinks and quality. We dined here for my wife's birthday as a family of four. We ordered the meatballs appetizer and octopus appetizer. The meatballs swam in an amazing light cheesy tomato sauce that left me yearning for this dish as a full meal. My family enjoys octopus, but I don't. They offered high praise for the eight-legged delicacy. Me and our two sons each had the filet. They were cooked to a perfect medium rare, tender and robust with flavor. It's been a while since I've had a steak prepared to that kind of perfection. The side of the day was "root vegetables," which included kale, parsnip and other things I can't pronounce. Not my jam. My wife indicated that the root vegetable medley was a tad off putting and generally forgettable for the purposes of this review. I went for the carrots side and was not disappointed. Our boys had the mashed potatoes, wild rice and sautéed mushroom sides and enjoyed them with no complaints. The adults at the table indulged in the smoked old fashioned cocktails, which were pricy, but delicious. The crème brûlée complimented with soft lemon cookies were spectacular and unique. Extra points for the waitress bringing a white chocolate mousse to the table complimented with a candle so we could sing happy birthday to my wife. The ambiance of the venue is simple, yet inviting. The mirrored south wall makes the dining room feel larger than it is. The tables and chairs are uniform and give the customer the elevated feel. This is likely the most expensive restaurant in Antioch offering an eclectic variety of food options. We stopped in for lunch after hearing a high recommendation from a local. We we not disappointed! Service was phenomenal and the food couldn't be better. The menu changes often and Steve, one of the owners explained they wanted to be sure they had the freshest ingredients and kept the food experience always interesting. I would say the food is on the next level and NOT your typical restaurant fair for the area. I had the Alice's Tea Party burger and the flavors were incredible and the burger a a special beef blend ( they also own a local butcher!) that oozes flavor. It was perfectly prepared to my med rare liking. I upgraded to the truffle fries - a GREAT decision. My wife had the wedge salad (small) and it was plenty for lunch. Of course she helped me with the truffle fries and loved them. We'll be back for dinner to have their Prime Steaks. Good to have a small but high quality gastro experience nearby. The steaks were excellent. All the food was amazing. Coming from out of state I was very impressed to enjoy such a high caliber establishment. The wait staff were very considerate and made modifications for a food sensitivity. It is slightly tight within the restaurant however once seated you don't notice the confines as much. We went there for our anniversary because we heard good things about this place. We had an appetizer, small salad and our dinner. It took 45 minutes for a Tequila-Lime Chicken Leg. The chicken was lukewarm when we got it and the tequila was so overpowering that it was sickening. It tasted as if they just poured tequila on top of it. The manager never came over to see if everything was okay, although he checked with every table surrounding us and the waitress didn't asking how we liked it either, instead she asked us if we'd like dessert. We just visited the restaurant for the first time last night. We all had a steak of sorts. The steaks were beautifully cooked, tender, delicious! The Lobster tails were succulent and delicious! We had the meatballs for an appetizer, and we wanted more! For dessert, we shared the Creme Brule and the chocolate cookie. Just wonderful! Went with a group of friends for dinner and absolutely everything was PERFECT. It was easy to make reservations, they were ready for us, and service was absolutely flawless. The staff was so very friendly and we wanted for nothing. The FOOD was incredible, as well! We had a variety of different entrees and absolutely everyone loved everything they had, sides included. I've been wanting to write a review since I visited but never got to it. Let's just say it was a memorable experience--and not in a good way. People have recommended this place and I just don't see why. Perhaps I should give it a second chance. My fiancée & I dined in on 6/30/2024. When booking a reservation online, it had asked us if we were celebrating anything, and we were! Our anniversary, as well as my birthday. Even though it was in the reservation, there was no mention of it from our server, nor did our server ask if we were celebrating anything. It was quite disappointing. We ordered boiled shrimp as an appetizer and I could not even take more than a couple bites. It tasted like it was microwaved, chewy and under seasoned. I tried putting a bunch of lemon on it (which we had to ask for) and to no avail, still absolutely horrible. Then I ordered a Caesar salad, my fiancée got the French onion soup. How do you mess up a Caesar salad? I had to add an immense amount of salt & pepper to even taste anything. I never add salt to a Caesar, considering the anchovies usually are enough. The soup was severely sweet, and just a weird flavor. The best part of the meal (thank God) were the steaks. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were spot-on on flavor, but unfortunately my appetite just wasn't there after so many disappointments. The drinks basically saved the dinner--Lord knows I needed a lot of them to even remotely enjoy this dinner. The tables are so incredibly close together, it felt quiet & awkward, like everyone in the restaurant could hear our conversation. Our server was okay, very reserved and just kind of resembled an order-taker rather than giving exceptional service.
