The Bergamo is a must as well the sauce you see in my pictures is a Balsamic Reduction they have put on it it is kinda messy but extremely good we are adding it to the once a week list now staff is extremely friendly, efficient and consistent with everything they do make sure to tip them this is well worth it even if it is just delivery and take out! This is a quiet little pizza joint behind the 7-11 in Springvale 5 out of 5 Stars! If this place sticks to its roots and continues what they are doing this place can grow to be huge! Good Job at everyone there and thank you for your ambition and creativity in the Pizza World!

The pizza was out of this world good easily some of the best I've had in New England. My family and I sampled three different pies: the Venus Fly Trap, Aggressive Hot Air Balloon Landing, and a classic white cheese. All three were incredible in their own way bold flavors, perfect crust, generous toppings, and just the right balance of creativity and quality. Honestly, we devoured them so fast I didn't even get a chance to snap a photo we were too busy enjoying every bite. Compared to places like Otto and Flatbread, Fat Kid Pizza is in a league of its own. Better pies, fair prices, and flavor combinations that really stand out. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't regret it.

We ordered a half Chicken Salad, half MadSicilian, and a whole Pastrami. The chicken salad was ordered plain was overly salty, and the menu mentioned "proprietary spices" and we asked what was generally in it was it or if it was spicy. The server had to look at the board to see what we were talking about. His response was it's not too spicy. With the MadSicilian we asked for hots, oil, and mayonnaise. It didn't have any of the three. The pastrami was bland and seemed to be microwaved. Overall rating out of 10, 4. Cleanliness. The table was dirty with mayonnaise smeared on it from somebody else's meal. Some of the chairs are in disarray ripped seat covers, the counter that you could sit at had a piece of formica torn off, the air conditioning vents were not cleaned at all for some time. Overall look dirty and dingy, rating 4. They have two bathrooms, a men's and women's, both have a sign on it "do not use", and they have two signs as you're entering saying "no public bathrooms". Why? Costumer focused rating, 3. Overall rating 3

However, since Steve and Tanya Davies bought it almost a year ago, it is now FAN-TAS-TIC. I don't even know where to start. Their place is so good it makes me consider moving to Sanford. Let's start with their house made lobster rolls. As good as any in Maine and probably the least expensive....$12. (I saw rolls going for $28-32 throughout our time in Maine this summer.) Steve even goes out on the boats himself sometimes for the catch. Though he is generally way too busy for that to happen. Primarily, because he runs about the best meat market I have ever seen. If he doesn't have what you want, he'll get it. Just while I was there a couple customers came in for orders of bone for both their pets and homemade soups. If you want the freshest meats you are in the right places at Jerry's. Steve's partner in the meat department is Tom, a long time employee at Jerry's who can regale you with everything from the quality of different ranchers to the merits of soft vs hard shell lobsters. What probably impressed me the most is Steve is one of the best BBQ men I have ever seen in America. With a giant offset smoker out back using real Maine hardwoods, he's Tom Brady with a football. (I've run an award winning BBQ business specializing in coast to coast BBQ and respect the traditions deeply.). However, what Steve does is extraordinary. Literally, things I have never seen at a local market. Hot, giant Tomahawk ribeye steaks at nearly 3 pounds each infused with herbs and butter? YES! At Jerry's Market, regularly. I have never seen this cut prepared outside of the most high end steakhouses. Bravo, genius. Brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs and on. They are doing it all and doing it expertly. In the mood for a whole chicken not just dusted but stuffed with whole oranges and lemons? Welcome to Jerry's Market. Everything we had over our 10 days in the area was outstanding. I kept finding excuses to go back. Steve's wife Tanya is in charge of a whole home made man section featuring chicken and pork pot pies with a cooler case of take away pasta, chicken and other salads. It's just remarkable. They work so hard but always find the time to chat, laugh and joke with their many regulars. We came in strangers and were immediately treated better than family. And Jerry's ready ready for multi-generational ownership with their charming daughter, Bryanna, working up front. A funny, helpful young man, Seth, also works up front handing the register and the area that has daily hot, fresh sandwiches and soups. Some I saw included Philly Cheesesteak and Chicken Parm. Clam chowder and beef vegetable. You can have a whole week of hot sandwiches and soups and never see the same dish. There was just too much to try. Jerry's is worth driving in from another County. The world is too quickly becoming corporate, standardized, without personality, personal treatment or a desire to be different and better. The Davies are running Jerry's Market in ways that counter these trends. The world is so much better with personal touch. The Davies understand this fact and work so hard to make it happen. Special, little places like Jerry's will fall away from our world without our support and appreciation. On occasion, I'll meet a person that is absolutely working to be the best they can be....that is what is happening at Jerry's Market. Fascinating to watch. Tantalizing to taste. Quit reading. Go enjoy Jerry's Market.
