The friendly atmosphere (directed by the owner Lucy) the local people and the sound of down Maine accents make this a place to remember. One of the few Italian spots in the area that really delivers. The portions were generous, the service was quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Even though the restaurant was packed, we were seated immediately. It has such a warm, homey atmosphere where it feels like everyone, staff and customers alike, knows each other, which made the whole experience feel welcoming and authentic. Nice local place to eat which our cousins recommended. Ordered 2 entrees and 1 appetizer which was plenty for the 3 of us, nice portion sizes. Wife had a good chardonnay, total bill was very reasonable. Oh we shared a canoli as well which got rave reviews from the 3 of us. A great place for dinner plus they got us seated very quickly which surprised us. Great beer selection and the bar was full, must be a good place to meet up and chat. read more

Celebrated my friend's birthday here with two other friends. So happy we had Tania for our server - she really made the event sparkle! Restaurant is recently opened and although not everything we would have wished to consume was available, our choices were more than adequate. The birthday girl ordered the veal parmesan and said it was fabulous! Two other diners enjoyed the chicken parmesan and I was quite pleased with the Mediterranean Haddock. Birthday girl got a pistachio cannoli to go, and there was no room left to consume another bite! Our leftovers were enjoyed the next day, with fond memories of our server Tania doing everything to please. The food, service and dessert was yummy! If you are looking for a good homestyle italian restaurant outside of the city (boston,providence, portland etc). This is a great place to go. Not the tourist attraction, but rather where the locals know where to go and where everyone knows your name. Our son's going to school locally, definitely planning on return visit. The service tonight at Chianti was spectacular, we sat at the bar and the bartender was so sweet and attentive. She recommended the Mozzarella Milanese and it did not disappoint! We ordered two limoncello spritz as a cocktail and they were delicious. The main course my husband ordered the bolognese and I had the rigatoni ala vodka. The pasta was cooked an absolutely perfect Al dente it brought us back to Italy. The sauces on both dishes were outstanding. It was so authentic, so fresh, and so delicious. We were in Italy a little under a year ago and haven't come close to finding Italian food outside of Rinos in East Boston as good as this! The food was good. I got the sangria and it was loaded with ice and very watery. It is so loud inside that you can't talk to table mates. The tin ceiling is cute but does't help dampen the noise. read more

First time back this season to one of our favorite Naples restaurants. Hoping tonight's experience isn't indicative of what's to come. New bartender wasn't familiar with how to make a proper Aperol Spritz (on the specialty cocktail menu.) It lacked ice, club soda and came with no garnish. The Calamari was delicious as was my husband's Chicken Parm. I ordered the Rigatoni and Broccoli in a garlic "cream" sauce with chicken. The chicken was delicious but the sauce broke down and had so much garlic it came off bitter. The Parmesan which could have creamed up the sauce was all stuck in the bottom of the dish. The good news is the portion sizes are large so I will reheat and add cream to offset the garlic and ultimately get what I thought I ordered. It's not a cheap night out so we expect quality from start to finish. Hoping tonight was a one off because Naples really needs alternatives to pub grub! read more

Our party of 3 arrived at 5:00 and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. No problem so we got a drink at the bar. At the 40 min wait I asked as to what the status was. Apparently reservations of 6 or more take precedence over smaller parties. We waited OVER ONE HOUR for our table as all the reservation parties were seated right away. I understand reservations but not at all fair that smaller parties were overlooked. There needs to be a better process. We would have left but didn't realize what was happening until the 40 min mark. The blond hostess was useless and kept saying sorry this is policy. She wasn't getting the issue. We watched 2 smaller parties leave. We were incredibly disappointed, Not sure if we would go again when they re-open in the spring. Food was very good and fresh. read more

I was glad to see an Italian restaurant come to Naples. The service was excellent. The food was just average though. That's because they added way too much butter to the linguine with clam sauce. It seems like it didn't have much clam juice or wine in the preparation - just butter. It's pricey for average food. The restaurant was very full when we were there. We've been to this new restaurant in Naples, Maine a few times and plan on returning quite often! The food is amazing! We especially like the Tour of Italy, which includes chicken parmesan, linguini alfredo and cheese ravioli! We ordered a side of meatballs and they were delicious and big!! My husband and I shared our order, and took half of everything home for another meal! The place is all done over and very comfortable, and the staff is the best around! Lucy, the owner greets you at the door and is always checking back to be sure everything is satisfactory! They are all very attentive and as friendly as can be! The food cannot be compared to the North End but was decent for Naples ME. Linguini was the only pasta offered. Portions are unnecessarily huge. I would prefer smaller portions and lower prices even though I do love leftovers. My husband enjoyed his veal parm and I enjoyed veal marsala. We got a cannoli to go. When enjoyed later, the ricotta filling was skimpy and did not fill the shell but what was there was tasty. Not worth the price though! Noise was a problem. They need some soft surfaces to absorb sound. Our waitress also informed us they will close in mid-October for the season and re-open in April, date TBD. read more

It's a nice place! Modern decor, nicely decorated. Friendly prompt service. If you like Olive Garden, you'll like this place as the breadsticks and food are similar. Menu is heavy on red sauce and pasta. The Ceasar salad was nice and fresh and enough to share. The eggplant Parmesan was OK, the sauce was a bit watery, the pasta a bit overdone, and no fresh grated cheese (Olive Garden has that). My dining partner had the surf and turf special which was OK but nothing special. Yes the portions are large, expect to bring home leftovers. Two of us with a glass of wine was just north of $100.00 which kinda steep for basic no frills Italian food. read more

Just waited over an hour to be seated party of 4. We put in our order when ordered our drinks and waited for our food for over an hour. When we questioned our waitress about the length of our wait we were told the veal chef took longer. Ended up walking out seeing no end in sight for our meal to be served. This new restaurant is Naples is a great addition, because there are few decent choices in this area that do not require braving traffic in Windham. They have reasonably priced and good appetizer and entree choices that should be enough for all the party to find something they like. It is heavy on pasta dishes, with choice of scampi, marinara and piccata sauces for entrees with choices of protein of chicken, veal and seafood, plus meatballs or bolognese for some dishes. We ordered the shrimp and lobster scampi and the veal piccata. The veal was really tender and the piccata had plenty of lemon and garlic but a little shy on the wine in the sauce. The scampi was fully of garlic and the shrimp were perfectly cooked but the lobster was tough. Although the food we would say was just good, we are giving 4 stars because the service was excellent. Extremely attentive and well trained servers and the kitchen kept the courses moving out of the kitchen on a very crowded night. The dessert menu and coffee choices are limited at this time but the homemade tiramisu was really good with a generous sprinkling of real cocoa. There's a lively ambience and a happy crowd at the bar which wraps around the whole of the main room. Give it a try! read more
