He originally quoted her $2,000.00 for the work. He told her that he prides himself on his work. He also told her he was a licensed contractor. Well, she is elderly and was completely taken advantage of. Miguel is not a licensed contractor. He showed up with his crew, demolished part of the deck, put a few new balusters in the railing and left. He charged her $3,500.00 and never did a walkthrough with her after the job was "done". His work is shotty at best. All of the "new" balusters are crooked, the handrails are uneven in length by several inches, half of the rails were never replaced and still have rotted areas and none of the new wood was painted or sealed. We tried calling him to come back and walk through the job as we are not satisfied with the work done. He said that he would come the following day (2 weeks ago) and has not returned. He does not answer his phone any longer. What a crook!! Do not hire this guy for anything!!!!!
